Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes
mrvtime 1/8/2013 8:32:00 AM
I am ALWAYS in search of a mascara I love ever since they quit making my Maybelline lash expansion. I have tried all the expensive ones, ones from Japan down to the dollar ones. NOTHING has made me happy until I received a sample of the multipleye and the Lights, Camera, Lashes! For the first time in my life, my sparse, thin, short, straight lashes actually look good! I have to use a curler or my lashes turn down. I use the primer followed by this mascara and my lashes stay curled. They are longer than I could imagine AND I actually have bottom lashes now. I just purchased my first full size tube of the mascara and love the tube.. a little awkward getting used to, but very cool. I rave about this to everyone and can only hope they don't discontinue it anytime in the near future!

Cleansers -Carley's Clear & Smooth - Soap
mrvtime 7/27/2011 12:59:00 PM
I absolutely love Carley's products. I started getting adult acne once a month when I turned 44 and these products have made a 100% improvement in my skin. The soap is the main soap product used in our house now - by everyone!

Mascara -Neutrogena - Healthy Volume Waterproof
mrvtime 11/8/2010 1:29:00 PM
I sooo wanted to like this as I'm still in search of my favorite new mascara since Maybelline discontinued mine. I can honestly say I'm very disappointed - this does not add any volume for me, let alone 400%. I do find it to be waterproof (ie no smudging at at all 16 hrs) and it did lengthen & darken, but I have short and sparse lashes and I really need a volumizing mascara. I may try it as a primer as others have suggested. It does not even show up on my bottom lashes. Maybe I'll try it with my Flirt primer and see how that works.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Concealer Brush
mrvtime 10/15/2010 12:39:00 PM
I purchased the Studio brush kit when it was half off ($15) two months ago and the concealer brush is my absolute favorite! I've used it with cream and liquid concealer on blemishes and under my eyes and it makes such a visible difference! Ive just purchased another to have just in case, but I may have to try it for eyeshadow based on other reviews. I've been recommending this brush to everyone I know!

Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Daywear Cream SPF15
mrvtime 10/15/2010 12:34:00 PM
I had been using this product for what seems like forever. Then I turned 43 and I suddenly started breaking out from it!! I don't know if they changed the formula or what happened, but I have tried repeatedly to use this again (since I had several jars of it) and each time my cheeks break out and black heads appear the next day. I have not changed my cleanser nor anything else in my routine, but suddenly I can no longer wear my long-time favorite moisturizer! I even tried not taking my daily vitamins thinking maybe that was the problem, but that didn't help, either. Does anyone know if they changed this product??? I'm now in search of a new favorite and right now I'm using Lancome Renergie, but it's a bit pricey.

Hair -Biosilk - Biosilk hydrating conditioner
mrvtime 8/5/2009 1:49:00 PM
This conditioner is a must have with the hydrating shampoo. I use a small bit on my dry, super-straight, color treated blonde hair, and comb thru with a wide-tooth comb in the shower. I wait a few minute, rinse, and have fluffy, soft, hair. I use this line and Fekkai's Technician products and honestly can't tell the difference in how my hair turns out, except I know I have saved a ton of money buying lots of Biosilk on ebay of late!

Shampoo -Biosilk - Biosilk hydrating shampo
mrvtime 8/5/2009 1:46:00 PM
First I have to say I can't believe the bad reviews this shampoo is getting. I first bought this about a year ago. I ran out and was using Fekkai Technician and then I got a great deal on this shampoo and conditioner and I have to say I do not notice a difference. I love both lines equally, but the price on the Biosilk has been amazing. No, it does not have a lot of lather but cleans my hair so well. I have yucky, straight, fine, color-treated blonde hair so I HAVE to use the conditioner, which I comb thru with a wide-tooth comb and then rinse. My hair is the best it has been in years since I've been using this line, along with the hair spray. It's soft and has tons of body. I've given samples to friends who have also raved about it. I just bought quantities of it on ebay for a steal!!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 266 Thin Small Angle (Synthetic hair)
mrvtime 7/15/2009 1:40:00 PM
I just recently (in the past few months) started using eye makeup brushes rather than the little applicators (I was addicted to Clinique's and would buy them in quanties). I have very quickly become addicted and this Mac 266 is my absolute favorite! I have always worn Lancome liner with Revlon liquid eyeliner over it for staying power. Now that I have this Mac brush, it's become the staple of my eye makeup. The best part is my husband who has always complimented my eyes even said "wow, what did you do different?" I use some powder shadow (I do like dark colors) with this brush, my Shu eyelash curler and my Maybelline Lash Expansion (I buy it everywhere I see it online before it is no longer sold anywhere and I may just never go out of the house again when it's gone... lol)... and I am good to go! After reading these reviews, I guess I better go buy another one now that I'm afraid they'll quit making this lifesaver! Go buy this brush if you do any kind of eyelining!!!

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
mrvtime 5/22/2009 9:53:00 AM
I have been using this product for several years now and love it. I use this, followed by Daywear for the daytime. There is DEFINITELY a difference in the look and feel of my skin. I also use Smashbox primer under my foundation. I used to use Fruition but could not afford it anymore, and with all the sample bottles of Idealist going around online, this became my #1 choice. Remember this is supposed to be used under your moisturizer and not alone.

Mascara -Estee Lauder - TURBOLASH-All Effects Motion Mascara
mrvtime 12/15/2008 3:40:00 PM
Still in search of the perfect mascara since the demise of my Maybelline Lash Expansion, I took a chance on this ridiculously priced mascara. I've been a fan of Estee Lauder for years, but this mascara is, at most, intriquing. I still can't figure out WHY we need a battery operated brush? I have thin, straight lashes that I HAVE to curl. This stuff does not thicken, within two hours it is flaking and my lashes are straight and clumped. I keep thinking this stuff reminds me of something they'd sell on an tv with the special price of "$19.99 but if you order today, you get three for the price of one". I will continue using this because I can't throw away something that cost so much.. I've worn it five times now and if my opinion changes, I'll update my review.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)
mrvtime 11/7/2008 2:01:00 PM
I use this nightly under the DayWear along with using Idealist during the day. I used to use Fruition and love it and as I reached 40, I wanted to try something new. Although I'm still told I look in my early 30's, I could notice blotching in my skin and my pores changing and having a 'saggy' look starting. The first time I started using this (switched from the Chanel line), I noticed a difference right away. I will continue using this until my skin is making more 'age changes' and then will move on to the next Estee product.

Lipstick -Anna Sui - Lip Stick
mrvtime 11/7/2008 1:53:00 PM
I bought this after reading on-line reviews on other sites and was greatly disappointed in the end. I love the packaging and I love the way it goes on - but the smell! I can't even describe it... but once it's on for about five minutes, it fades. The other thing that happens is my lips get dried out like never before. After using it for two days and trying moistening products under it, I've given up.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal
mrvtime 11/7/2008 1:48:00 PM
I MAY buy this again if I can't find my Lash Expansion. I love the way it goes on my lashes, but it tends to 'bind' them together. It doesn't give you time to separate them before having to apply another coat (you can't let this dry between coats or it will not go on right and thus causes flakiness). I always use an eyelash curler first, and this does make my lashes longer and it looks pretty good if I can avoid the lashes sticking together (my contacts don't like flakes). It does cause my lashes to lose some curl when applying it, but I would consider buying it again it if I can't get the Lash Expansion anymore... but I'd have to use something else on my thin,almost-not-there bottom lashes - this is too 'runny' for them.

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - 2 Sexy Voluptuous Volume Mousse
mrvtime 11/7/2008 1:40:00 PM
I bought this a few weeks ago in an attempt to get some volume in my hair after a major hair cut change - straight, long blonde mostly one layer to at my shoulders and layered... not a good choice for my fine, thin, hair that does "flips" outward at my neck. I tried four different root lifters and three different mousses and this is the only one that gave me some volume and controlled the irritating 'flips' around my neck. It did make my hair a bit stiff, but I'd rather have that than the 'flips' and separating like I have when I don't use this. GREAT PRODUCT!

Eyeliner -Lancome - Le Stylo Waterproof Long Lasting eyeliner
mrvtime 11/7/2008 1:25:00 PM
I've been using this in black/noir for years, although I purchase it on ebay to save some money. I love this when I have to get ready quickly. It does smudge a bit after a few hours if I don't take the time and do my makeup 'right' - where i put powder on my eyelids and under my eyes, then I put a line of shadow under my eyes as well - if I do this, then it doesn't smudge. It's also fantastic when I use it under my Revlon Colorstay liquid liner! These are two products I can't live without!
