Fragrances -Jo Malone - Nectarine Blossom and Honey

I heard about this scent from a friend who raved about how it's her favorite scent in the world, so I decided to shell out $50 on the 30mL bottle to try. It's not as sweet as I thought and it's more of a "food" smell rather than the usual artificial perfume fruit smell, which I like, but it probably doesn't go with my chemistry. I've had for about 2 years, but have only wore it less than 5 times. The few times I wore it out during the day, my friends would comment on how fresh and "just-showered" I smelled like, which isn't what I was going for wearing this scent, but I didn't mind smelling like I just hopped out of the shower. The biggest problem was that my boyfriend hates its guts. He said it smells very "bitter" and "grassy" both from the bottle as well as on me...(wtf?)...so I never wore it ever since LOL. I tried to smell it from time to time to see if I'd fall in love with it again...I don't know, I really want to love it because it was really expensive and I don't want it to go to waste. So bummed...:/

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner - Skinny Jeans

I swatched this at sephora. It looked like a taupe-brown with beautiful shimmer and I fell in love. But when I put it on at home it looked more cool-toned grey than taupe/brown. I am Asian with yellow undertones and this color looked odd on me (I feel like it clashed with my skin). I assume it is because I have warmer undertones and this product is leaning more towards the cool side. I was disappointed that this color did not work for me, because I loved the consistency and the packaging. It was creamy and easy to blend.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

I'm on my 3rd one, and I will continue to buy this until I find something even better n cheaper. Its extremely hydrating for me, esp in the winter. I layer this over my usual moisturizer at night before bed, and my skin is full, supple, and very soft the next day. I love it! I use it as a "leave-on mask" instead of an actual moisturizer and it works pretty well like that for me. The packaging could be better if it were a squeeze tube though. And the price is a little high for a student like me, but I think its pretty good at doing what it says I will-thirst relief of the skin.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Smokey Look
mrsloliver 3/21/2009 7:06:00 AM
This is a pretty good gloss. My first NYX gloss that I got from cherryculture because they were having a freeshipping promotion. I like the texture, not overly sticky but stays on for quite a decent amount of time. I think the packaging is good, although I'd prefer a brush over a doe-foot applicator. I don't like the smell tho..to me it smells like bubblegum/cotton candy/artificial flavoring that I'm not too fond of. Nice color...totally matches its name because it looks great with smokey eyes. Other than the smell I think it is a great product, considering the price was very wallet-friendly (3 or 4 bucks, I don't remember).

Lip Gloss -Hourglass - Sheen Reflective Lip Gloss

The best gloss I own so far(and the most expensive). Saw it at my sephora's "favorite glosses" section. It was so pretty that I just couldn't let it go, but the price kinda scared me a lil. The bf ended up getting it for me cuz he saw me swooning over it like a crazy woman. So glad he did..love this gloss. Very creamy. Goes on like a dream with or without lipstick underneath. The color I have is in imagine, a beautiful peachy-pinky-orangey-nude. The glitters are so fine they aren't glitters but microparticles that gives it a slight matellic shine. Very sophisticated! The smell resembles coconuts and those summer-themed lotions, which is lovely imo. Not unbearably sticky. The packaging is very pretty and slick, makes me happy just having it in my purse. May not be an everyday shade to some but definately a nights-out one:) one lippie off for the high price tho.

Primer/ Corrector -DHC - Velvet Skin Coat
mrsloliver 1/3/2009 11:32:00 PM
I got this when it went on sale a year ago, I haven't been using it much because it turned my face into a grease ball after 3-4 hrs. It also broke me out a little (although I'm not sure if it was from the Velvet Skin Coat or my poor diet). Still have 2/3 of one tube and a brand new tube cuz I bought them together as a set..will probably only use it when I absolutely have to look flawless.
