Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
mrsdarcy001 9/25/2010 4:26:00 PM
I ran out of foundation and grabbed this in a hurry to hold me over until I could get to MAC or Sephora. I was concerned about the finish, the color match, and breakouts, but so far I have been pleasantly surprised about all 3. Warm Ivory is a good match for my NC20 skin, the finish is surprisingly natural on me, and no breakouts so far. My only gripe is it doesnt last as long as I would like. In fact, I wore this into the MAC store when I went to purchase the new pro longwear foundation. When the MA started to swipe the MAC foundation on me, I stopped her and asked for a wipe, and she said "Oh, are you wearing foundation?" SCORE! It looks that natural on me, like my skin but better. So I am hanging onto this Maybelline foundation and will definitely repurchase. Im tired of paying more for high end brands that I like less.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational in Tinted Taupe
mrsdarcy001 7/24/2010 7:47:00 PM
I have a few Color Sensational lipsticks, and I really like them. I love this color best though! I also have Totally Toffee, and I really like it, but I prefer this one as on me it is a bit plummier. Tinted Taupe reminds me a little bit of the color Clinique's black honey looks on me except it is more opaque and longer lasting than black honey. It's a bit darker than my lips (maybe a shade or two) but it looks very natural - not nude, but natural. It brightens my complexion and brings a nice balance to my dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and NC20 skin. I will be buying multiple back ups of this color.

Lipstick -MAC - Frost - Angel
mrsdarcy001 11/2/2009 9:05:00 PM
Angel is beautiful ... but alas not on me. I wanted an alternative to my beloved Brave, so I picked up Angel and Faux. Faux is a better pink for me. Angel is just a bit too cool toned and makes me look a little washed out, unfortunately. I plan to try it w/ various liners and glosses to make it work, but I probably won't repurchase. It's a shame as I really wanted to love this gorgeous light pink lippie. I am NC20, hazel, brunette.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick - #714 Model Brown
mrsdarcy001 10/4/2009 10:57:00 PM
This is my second Dior addict high shine lippie - love the sheer, shimmery formula and this is a gorgeous hg nude on me - just enough color to brighten my complexion and make me look healthy and not washed out(dark brown/hazel/NC20). Love this lipstick and the packaging. Will definitely re-purchase.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Black Out Mascara
mrsdarcy001 10/4/2009 10:52:00 PM
I too have mixed feelings about this product. It does give me dramatic, longer, thicker, darker lashes so much so that my co-worker stopped me and asked if I got lash extensions, BUT it also smudges like nobody's business and the big brush is hard to use (and I used regular DiorShow before and found that much easier to apply). So I got waterproof Iconic instead and I am much much happier so far.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Opium Red 131
mrsdarcy001 9/25/2009 1:16:00 PM
I was a little suspicious when I eyed this lippie in the tube. It looked kinda orange-y, but that vanished when I put it on. It is just a fabulous, really well-balanced red on my lips - neither fuschia nor pink nor orange - just really red. Bright, but not overwhelming. Does not give me clown lips, just looks pretty and glam. Also, I liked that this red was easy to apply, no prep work, no lip brush, I didn't even need liner, and it applied like a dream. I will def. be re-purchasing. It is worth the money to finally find my HG red!

Lip Treatments -Revlon - Beyond Natural Liptint SPF 15 ] [DISCONTINUED]
mrsdarcy001 9/19/2009 10:29:00 PM
I just picked this up in berry and I am in love!!! Truly, truly MLBB - just like my lips but just very slightly rosier. Glides on nicely, feels very comfy and moisturizing and light, yet has enough pigment to make a visible difference. More like a light lipstick than a sheer gloss. So pretty! I plan to run to Ulta to grab deep berry first thing tomorrow!

Lipstick -Lipstick Queen - Medieval
mrsdarcy001 9/14/2009 8:14:00 PM
This is a pretty, sheer natural looking tinted balm that is a glamorous vivid cherry red in the tube. The packaging is exquisite and the lipstick itself glides on beautifully. It makes my lips look subtly flushed and very pretty. My only gripe is the price and the fact that I wish it was slightly more pigmented, but that said, it is very pretty. I was hoping it would be closer to my beloved and long d/c Clinique Almost Lipstick in Ruby Melt which was a tad redder. I only said I would not re-purchase because I get very similar results from Burt's Bees Lip Balm w/ pomegranate for a tenth of the price of Medieval.

Lipstick -Sonia Kashuk - Sugarbush
mrsdarcy001 9/13/2009 9:41:00 PM
Wow! I have been looking for a pink lippie that won't make me look washed out (NC25/hazel/brown) and this fits the bill! Really pretty, slightly darker/rosier than my actual lips (MLBB) and the price and quality are good, very flattering rosy pink color with a nice brown base so not too bright and it really makes my eyes pop. Love it!

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Addict High Shine Lipstick #624 Cranberry Coquette
mrsdarcy001 8/4/2009 11:19:00 PM
This is a very sheer, soft, pretty berry color on my lips. MLBB. I like that it has the sheer translucent glossiness of a lip gloss but wears beautifully. It's not sticky at all! The packaging is also gorgeous. I plan to get a lot of use out of this tube and will definitely repurchase.

Lipstick -Givenchy - Rouge Interdit 18 Elegant Rouge
mrsdarcy001 7/27/2009 6:01:00 AM
I love this lipstick. Wear is excellent, very comfy and reasonably long lasting. It applies beautifully. No odor that I noticed. Packaging is very elegant and beautiful. I'm NC20 and I may have found my hg red! As in this is a lovely reddish color on me, not OTT red like Ruby Woo or Russian Red. Very wearable. This was my first Givenchy lippie and it wont be my last.

Lipstick -Guerlain - Rouge G de Guerlain 65 Grenade
mrsdarcy001 5/29/2009 10:06:00 AM
This lipstick was a gift from a dear friend. I would never have bought this for myself. It is a lovely, rosy pink color and the texture, color payoff, and wear are lovely - no complaints. It reminds me most of my Chanel Rouge Allure. My only complaint is the packaging. It is seriously overpackaged and in this case, with such a high price tag, you are really paying for the packaging. It looks kind of cool and the mirror is handy, certainly. But it is heavy and bulky and gets smudges and fingerprints quickly! And, I hate to say this, but every time I have taken it out of my purse someone has had to remark that it looks like a vibrator! Sooo embarrassing! It's a good lipstick but in my opinion it is overpackaged and overpriced.

Lipstick -Clinique - Different Lipstick - Guava Stain
mrsdarcy001 5/17/2009 12:56:00 PM
This might be my very favorite mlbb lipstick. It is similar to Tenderheart but a bit pinkier/peachier. Perfect for spring or summer. Really brightens my NC20 complexion without looking obvious. Love it! Will continue to repurchase.

Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine Lipstick - Delovely
mrsdarcy001 5/17/2009 12:53:00 PM
On me this color was just meh. The only reason I won't repurchase this is that there are several other Clinique MLBB lippies that I like much better. This isn't going to dethrone my beloved Tenderheart any time soon and I don't like the butter shine formula so much.

Lipstick -Clinique - Long Last - Blushing Nude
mrsdarcy001 5/17/2009 12:50:00 PM
This is such a pretty, wearable rose color. It has enough brown to work with my warm undertones (NC20) and flatters my pale complexion. One of my favorites. I love Clinique's lipsticks - very reliable and easy to wear. On me this is very close to Cover Girl's Blushberry Shine.
