This is a great universal shade of pinky-peach blush, but it just doesn't work for me. Within 2 hours any trace of color is gone and all that's left is a bunch of shimmer on my cheeks that accentuates my oily skin. :( This product is highly overrated, IMO. NARS makes good blushes but the formulation on this one isn't up to the standard hold for the price. I recently acquired Sleek's blush in Rose Gold and the color payoff is better, it lasts longer, it's a good dupe for orgasm and it's MUCH cheaper. I certainly will not rebuy this product again, it's not worth it for me.
Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase Paste in Fair

This is the best under eye concealer I've ever used, it ranks HG status for me. It covers dark circles wonderfully but you MUST set it with powder or it will crease like crazy. The color is a great match for me, I don't find it too pink at all for my NW10-15ish skin. It is a bit pricey for the amount that you get but it lasts forever since you only need to use the tiniest amount. I've been using mine every day since March (almost 8months) and I still have well over 50% left. It comes with a small spatula to scoop out product but it's basically useless as you will always end up with too much product. It's easiest just to dip your ring finger into the pot and pat around the eyes.
Good old cold cream! This is what I always used to remove my makeup as a teen, so when I needed something gentle after I started using a retinol cream, I picked up a new jar. It takes off makeup like nobody's business, even eyemakeup but I have sensitive eyes and don't use it for that purpose. I only use it on the nights that I will be using my retinol cream, or I will wake up with a greasy face. Even though I have oily skim, I would only recommend this to others with oily skin during the winter or if you live in a climate that doesn't get very humid. It's perfect for anyone with dry to normal skin, anywhere and anytime!
I have to preface this by saying I am extremely picky about the nailcolors that I use on my fingers. I normally stick to very light/sheer shades as I feel that darker shades make my fingers look short and chubby. I love this color! Lady Like is the perfect name for this mauve shade- perfect for fall. The formulation is great, one coat leaves the shade a little sheer but two coats make for a perfect shade. This is my first Essie purchase and it will certainly not be my last!
I absolutely adore this color, I've been wearing it all summer long on my toes. It is a very bright coral-y pink shade that really pops. This formulation of the polish is not the best though, hence only 3 lippies. As others have said, it takes 3 coats to even out the color so that it's not streaky. The performance of the polish is definately subpar for the cost. I said that I would rebuy this bc the color is amazing, but I'm going to search for a better quality dupe first.
I am seriously in love with this foundation. I am ticked at myself for not trying it sooner. This is by far the best foundation I have ever used. I apply it with a 187 brush and my skin looks flawless. I love that it has a great buildable coverage that doesn't get spotty. It's great for my oily skin, helps to keep the greasies at bay for the biggest part of the day. At the end of the day my skin will have a slight sheen but I've seen MUCH worse from other foundations, so I know this foundation must be helping to dry out my skin a bit. I would NOT recommend this to anyone with dry skin for that reason. It covers any blemishes and acne scarring very easily. It does take a little while to dry, which is both a good and bad thing. Good because you can keep blending or add more coverage but bad if you are in a hurry bc you might rub some foundation off before it's set. I matched myself as a NC15 because even thought I have a LOT of pink in my skin, the NW15 is too orange. NC15 is an almost perfect match, just a bit yellow. I only have 3 downsides to this foundation. The first is that it's in a glass bottle which makes traveling with this foundation a bit risky. Two is that you have to buy the pump separate, but that's no big deal. Now I have a pump so when I buy the next bottle, it won't be necessary. Third is that there are no lighter shades in this formula, and they run a little darker than other MAC foundation lines. I'll have to put this foundation away for winter or mix it with something a little lighter.
This is a good mascara, not my favorite but it certainly gets the job done. Pros: It applies easily with minimal clumping and adds a good bit of volume to my lashes. It does nothing to lengthen my short lashes, however. After a few hours there is a small amount of flaking but not enough to discourage use of this mascara. I probably won't rebuy this just bc I like a few other mascaras more than this one, but I do think it is a good reliable product.
I received the color "Rouge" as part of a set before Christmas and as much as I have tried to love this lip product, I just can't. I love my natural glosses, Buxum glosses and BE lipstick but this product is subpar for me. The good: The color of "Rouge" is amazing and it lasts for hours. The bad: The applicator is terribly flimsy, one of the worst I've ever seen. The ugly: The formula is a bit sticky and it runs/spreads from wherever It is applied. It does not stay put no matter how I use it. I have no intention of purchasing one of these again, it's a huge disappointment to me.
Treatments -Bare Escentuals - Rare Minerals Blemish Therapy
mrscassizzlesparkles 9/9/2011 8:21:00 AM
I bought this product early this year on discount and while I love most BE products this doesn't really do anything for me. As others have said, the smell is a bit strong but not so strong that it would keep me from using it. (If it worked for me, I mean.) I tried using only this product on my breakouts and they took almost twice as long to heal as they do with other spot treatment. You can't really use liquid spot treatments under foundation or you get one of those spots where foundation settles around it, so that is how I use it now, under my foundation. It does provide good coverage as a concealer but for me, it isn't strong enough for me to buy it again.
I've been using BE products for over 5 years and I love using mineral veil over my bare minerals foundation. I can tap on a little halfway through the day to combat oil. If I'm having a great skin day I might pop on a little concealer, mascara and a touch of mineral veil to give my skin a bit of luminosity. However, I do not like to use it with my liquid foundation, it gives off a chalky effect and since I am fair I don't need any additional help with that. ;) (I use the original, I'm not a fan of the illuminating or tinted mineral veils as they contain bismuth which makes my skin itch.) I'm sure I will rebuy this in the future but I would only reccomend it if you are using a mineral foundation as well.
I have been using this eye makeup remover for a very long time, probably close to 10 years. I have tried several other eye makeup removers and none come close to being as gentle on the eyes as this one. My eyes are easily irritated by by other makeup removers and cleansers but this product does not leave me with any of the itchiness, burning or blurry vision that some others do. I've never had any problems removing all of my eye makeup with it, though some waterproof mascaras do require a second application to remove them 100%. This product is a cream and not a liquid like most makeup removers so it's a little different to use. I apply the cream to my ring finger and rub all over eyelid and into the lashes. Then I take a tissue and wipe all the product off. It does leave a slight greasy residue which I do not like with my oily skin but I wash my face after removing my eye-makeup so it's a non-issue for me. I give packaging a 4 because it is a bit hard to get the last bit of it out of the tube. I have bought this product many times and will continue to do so in the future. It is occasionally in the gift-with-purchase sets so if you like Clinique products you might want to keep an eye out for that as well.
I love this cleanser and it has become my go-to product. I finally tried it at the beginning of this year, after hearing all of my friends rave about it. I have combo skin and it always feels clean and refreshed after using this product, not too dry with just the right amount of moisture. It can easily remove all of my makeup at the end of the day, but I use a different eye makeup remover so I'm not sure how it works for that. My eyes are easily irritated when I get product into them but Purity does not bother them at all. It only takes a small amount for my whole face so a bottle lasts for quite awhile. I occasionally have an acne breakout and it works okay for that but I prefer to switch to something a little more drying at that time. I always come back to the Purity though. I will certainly re-buy this cleanser in the future.
I have to start this review off by saying that absolutely nothing makes my lashes look better than this mascara. I have lashes that are short and rather fine and this mascara really makes them pop. I have heard a lot of people complain about the size of the wand and I will admit that it took a little practice to get use to it in the beginning but now I have zero issues with it. The reason why I only give this mascara a 3 overall is because it makes my eyelids extremely heavy and tires my eyes. I can't wear it for all day occasions or by 3pm my lids are drooping and I have to strain to keep them open, then resulting in a headache. I have re-bought this mascara before and most likely will again because for those WOW lashes, nothing else does the trick. It's my go-to mascara for date-night with the hubs, parties or just any time when I want people to say, "Damn, she looks good!" ;)
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
mrscassizzlesparkles 9/3/2011 12:55:00 AM
This is a HG product for me, I absolutely love it! I have oily lids and when I use UDPP my shadow does not go anywhere and it looks awesome all day long. It is a bit pricey but I think it's worth every penny to help my shadow stay put. I've used a few different primers and I haven't found anything at a lower price point that can compare to this product. (I've only used the original formula so I can't comment on those with tint and I'm still using what's left in my genie bottle, haven't tried out the new tube yet either.)
I think this mascara will be great for someone who has fuller lashes to start out with. I have fine lashes that are on the shorter side, and while this mascara *does* make them look a mile long, it does nothing for volume which is what I really need. I've worn this mascara every day for 2 weeks and the pointed tip of the wand does nothing but make clumps worse. I've watched a handful of tutorials on making the tip work, and it does nothing for me. The good thing about this mascara is that it does last all day and I can wear it when I workout and I don't look like a hot mess afterward. I also noticed a small amount of curl and lift with this mascara, without curling my lashes prior to application. All in all, I would say that this is a good mascara, but for me it's not great. I'll use up the rest of my tube for everyday occasions, but at $20+ a pop, I won't buy this one again. I can get the same amount of length PLUS volume with Fairydrops for a similar price.
