Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Forever Sunshine

I like this a lot. I do think that it reminds of a lighter and "winter-like" version of Twilight Woods. It has more of a fruity (orange-like) tone than Twilight Woods. The lasting power is fine, at least similar to other Bath and Body Works fragrances. I will buy it again, it is a nice combination of fruity and musky notes.
I was hoping that this will be the HG product for my thin wavy hair that I straighten everyday. The verdict is that it is not what it is hyped up to be. It is not better than other silicon-based serum from Fx or Got-to-be. Other products are a lot cheaper in general. Also, unlike other Frizz-ease type of silicon serum, they added alumina ito it and that increases the chance of having static problem (esp. if one uses a plastic comb). I think alumina is added to improve the texture of the hair (more gritty), but overall I do not think it works well for everyone. If one's hair is fried and not a in healthy, this is not a magic potion. It can solve minor problems for people have relatively good hair already (the same can be said for other hair serum).
Scrubs -Victoria's Secret - Energizing Sugar Scrub

I received this as a gift and wish I could purchase another one. I use it everyday as a face scrub, it works very well. It smells very nice and I just think it is a wonderful product. But it does sting a little bit if it gets into your eyes, so be careful.
Blush -Jane - Be Pure Mineral Crushed Blush in 03 Rose Silk
mosaic77 7/29/2009 11:55:00 PM
I like most makeup items from Jane, esp. the blush. The color is very similar to Rose Satin (Jane mineral pillow blush) which is great. It looks great on fair skin and it lasts rather long. I do prefer the pressed blush since it is less messy, but it is cool to change my daily makeup regimen once in a while. They did discontinue it, so I think I will have to think of other alternatives when it comes to blush.
Treatments (Eye) -Olay - Professional Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex

I have used this for about 4 weeks and nothing major happened, which to some extent is good. It is not irritating and be used both on the upper and lower eyelid. It goes on smoothly, which is expected since it has a high "silicon" content. I have yet to see my fine lines to go away, but since I paid quite a bit for it, I will use it up and continue to search for my HG eye cream. I might end up giveing up on finding one that will diminish fine lines or fix the previous damages, I just want to find one that can retard further wrinkling of the eye area.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Vickery & Clarke Antioxidant Vitamin Serum

I actually like this serum, it is oily but it did not cause any breakout for me. I did not see any drastic results, but it is very moisturizing. I actually like this better than Burt's Bee's Rose of Attar serum. This does not burn my eyes and I can put in on the skin under my eyes. This is particularly good for winter (dry and cold), but I will not use it in summer.
I got this product in a clearance sale, so it was like $7. It does sting a little bit in the beginning, but the sting goes away in a minute or so. I like the smell since the Alpha Hydrox AHA products have less than pleasant smell. I think the effectiveness of this lotion is comparable to Alpha Hydrox products which I also use. It is not moisturizing enough for winter use, but for summer it is perfect. Also, it never caused any breakout for me, so that is a good thing. Nonetheless, it has been dicontinued now, so I will have to get Alpha Hydrox if I need AHA in my skincare routine. But again, the bottle is quite big, I still have quite a bit in the bottle.
It is essentially Very Sexy 2, it smells just the same. I first started using Very Sexy 2 in late 2004 when I got a small gift with purchase bottle when I purchase a Pink giftbox. I did not like it before, but I think I am more into "musky" rather than "floral" perfume as I get older. I am liking it now! I never like the original Very Sexy though, I think Very Sexy Dare is OK, but Very Sexy Hot is the best among the three in my opinion.
I used it every night for two weeks and so far I think it is OK. It is not irritating (unlike the Roc Multi Correxion eye cream) and I am not breaking out because of it. I would say the dry patches around my mouth has improved. I will continue to use it on my forehead lines and see if there will be any improvement. This is my first time using retinol and I hope I can handle it since I have always been able to use 10% AHA without any problem.
Treatments (Eye) -RoC - Multi correction eye cream

I had high hopes for this product since I have heard so much great things about it, but it did not work for me. It made my eye area irritated, I guess it is because I have never used retinol around my eyes ever. I think it will take time for my skin to get used to it, but I cannot afford waking up with red and puffy skin around my eyes. From now on I will use it as a skin cream since I also use the Roc Multi Correction Night Cream and it seems to be OK (not irritating my face at least). BTW, I used it at night only, I did not dare to use it twice a day.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Black Amethyst- Eau De Toilette
mosaic77 1/17/2009 4:19:00 PM
This is my latest B & BW favorites. I think it belongs to the same class as Japanese Cherry Blossom and Senual Amber. It is a winter scent however. I think it is a scent too musky for teenagers, but for me it is just right.
After reading all the reviews, I had to buy it and I did! But what a disappointment! It is no where like Kiss Me Mascara, the brush is too big and uncomfortable to work with. It clumps a lot and one essentially cannot comb the lashes after application, the "tubes" will come off like flakes. BTW, I actually got better results without the base coat. I do not know if it is necessary to have that white base coat. While I am not an expert in mascara application, I have successfully used Revlon Lashtint without major problem and yet this mascara has given me a headache over how to make it work. I have used Kiss Me Mascara for about 3 yrs and I do think that the texture of the mascara is similar, but it will definitely benefit from having a smaller brush. One positive thing about this mascara is that it is easy to remove and it does not cause any smudging, similar to Kiss Me Mascara. But again, I will not repurchase since it is a hassle to use.
Styling Products -Garnier - Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray
mosaic77 8/12/2008 1:30:00 PM
I like this a lot more than the glossy spray from L'Oreal. It is a very good detangler if you use it on damp hair. While it is not a magical solution to dry and frizzy hair, it definitely tames it reasonably well. I will repurchase if they are still making it. It is not really a hairspray (though the bottle said "strong"), but a shine spray with very slight "holding ability". It is fine with me since I use regular hairspray afterwards. I hope they will not discontinue this or at least replace it with something just as good and cheap.
I do not think this product works as promised. It is not even as good as a simple silicon serum. It does not shield hair against humidity and does not leave hair shiny either. So I really do not know what it does, in comparison, the weatherworks conditioner at least leaves my hair soft and scented. I will not repurchase and am still working on find that special product for the battle against humidity. However, I might have to accept the fact that pretty much nothing can help, I just need to leave my hair in its natural state (wavy) during the hot summer months. A Brazilian Keratin Treatment might work wonders, but do not know if it is worth it (formaldehyde = toxic).
I do not think this product (the conditioner) works very well in terms of protecting my hair from humidity. It is a very heavy conditioner and is very good as a "after coloring treatment". It does leave my hair very smooth, like it is coated with silicone (which it is: see ingredients). My hair smells very nice afterwards as well. But once I get outside the house to face the harsh reality (i.e humidity), my hair frizzes just the way it always does. I am still trying to find my HG hair products for anti-humidity purpose.
