Yuck! Too sweet and old lady-ish, in my opinion. Although I smell this on lots of teeny-boppers, it still seems like such an old scent to me with no sensuality or depth - just a sweet, cloying fragrance. I really don't understand why it's so popular. Plus, it's expensive! I guess it's just one of those name brand things...
Skincare - Body -Dove - Ultimate Clear Antiperspirant

I got a free sample of this in smooth cashmere. The scent is very strong and powdery. Although clearer than most anti-perspirants, there is still a fair amount of white residue. I never wear anti-perspirants (I'm faithful to Kiss My Face liquid rock deodorant), but I like to have one around just for emergencies. I wore this when I gave a talk at a conference, and not only did it not keep me from perspiring very much, but it emitted such a strong, powdery scent that it made me almost as self-conscious as if I had body odor! I'll stick to the cool essentials Dove anti-perspirant so that I won't smell like a diaper - albeit a clean one - during no-sweat emergencies.
This is my favorite of the mentha lip shines - but I'm biased because spearmint is my favorite mint flavor. Like the other mentha lip shines, the texture is thick enough to stay put but not sticky or tacky. It tastes delicious and gives your lips a medium gloss - I wouldn't call it a subtle sheen, but it's not a glass-like finish either. It moisturizes very well even after the product has worn off. It comes in a squeeze tube with a generous amount in it. I wish they would make the spearmint gloss tinted, but it's very pretty as just a clear gloss. Makes your lips very healthy and natural-looking.
I have normal/combination skin that is not prone to breakouts. I bought this cleanser because it's designed for combination skin. It smells wonderful - like lavender and spearmint - and you only need a tiny pea-sized amount to work up a thick, luxurious lather. I like this cleanser better than most that I have tried, but it's a little too drying for my skin, especially in the winter. I stopped using it and have started using Philosophy purity made simple which I find is better suited for my normal skin, but I think this product would be good for those with more oily combination skin. I'll keep it around, though. You get a small amount but it lasts forever! It's pricey, but I think it's a high-quality product.
Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)

This is just a wonderful basic cleanser. It's expensive for being basic, but it really works so I don't see the point of straying. Most drugstore cleansers have left me either too dry or they break me out, so I feel like it's worth the extra money. I have normal/combination skin that is not prone to breakouts. It's a cream cleanser that lathers only a little. My face feels clean but not stripped after using it. Currently I am using this twice a day with C.O. Bigelow extra-light face lotion SPF 15 in the morning and Neutrogena oil-free moisture for combination skin in the evening and it is a very nice combination, even in the dense humidity of summer. I am currently using the 8 oz. bottle which is $20, but if I continue to like it by the time I finish the bottle I will probably buy the 16 oz. because it's only $32. I really love the natural scent. The flip cap seems a little flimsy (I feel like it's probably going to break before I finish the bottle). For $20 I think Philosophy could afford better packaging (a pump would be nice). They also test on animals.
Moisturizers -C.O. Bigelow - Extra Light Face Lotion [DISCONTINUED]

I'm reviewing the formula with SPF 15. I like that it has all-natural ingredients and C.O. Bigelow doesn't test on animals. This lotion absorbs quickly and doesn't leave my skin too greasy. I notice that as the day goes on my t-zone gets oily, but no more than if I wasn't using moisturizer. I may stray to other SPF moisturizers to see if I can find one I like better, but so far so good with this product. I like it better than Alba's SPF moisturizer - that one was a little too greasy for me, at least in the summer, when I need sun protection the most. This product expires in December (I guess because of the SPF) so I'll probably try something new then, but I have a feeling I'm going to come back to this product. It's a big expensive and I don't like the tube packaging (I prefer a pump), but it's really not that bad.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Combination Skin Moisture Oil Free

So far so good for me with this moisturizer. I definitely have combination skin with normal cheeks and a slightly oily t-zone. This moisturizer is a bit watery but I've noticed that since I've been using it my t-zone is less oily when I wake up in the morning (I only use this at night since it has no SPF) than if I don't use moisturizer at all, and yet my skin never feels tight. It seems to be just the right amount of moisture for my skin. I wish Neutrogena didn't test on animals.
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Dry Skin Therapy PLUS Intensive Repair Lotion
moonshadow7 7/8/2008 12:47:00 PM
This lotion is just way too greasy and doesn't even seem to moisturize that well. I prefer lotions that are thick yet absorbent - I find them to be more moisturizing and just all-around more comfortable to wear. I'm currently using this as a hand cream at night just to use it up, but I will definitely not repurchase. Although it fades quickly, it has an odd vinegar-look scent upon application. I like the giant pump bottle, though.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Freshwater Cucumber

Although I rarely stray from white tea and ginger (the only scent I wear these days), I received this body cream as a gift and I really love it. Despite the name, it does have a heavy scent to it - almost musky - so I like it as a winter scent. It also lasts forever. I can even smell it on my arms the next day! It's a great combination of being fresh yet somewhat sensual at the same time. Guys really like this, too. Although white tea and ginger is still my favorite, this one is a close second.

This product is a lifesaver. In the dead of winter when my regular lotion just isn't enough to prevent me from getting dry, itchy, rough skin, I turn to this and within a few days my skin is back to normal. I agree with other reviewers who say that this product is really greasy and it feels kind of unpleasant on your skin. However, I've used lotions that are much greasier and far less effective, and this product really works, which is what really counts, right? I don't like the tub packaging, but it's too thick to put in a tube so I guess they had no choice. If you like this, check out Aquaphor too, it's also a lifesaver.
I use this once a week in conjunction with the sea lettuce cleansing milk, and I love it. It is gentle yet I feel after I've washed my face with it that the flakes are gone and my skin is much smoother. The scent is also nice, but it is quite strong so it may not appeal to everyone. It is the same scent in Alba's entire marine line. The tube is small, but it lasts forever if you only use it once a week. I will continue to repurchase this.
I'm surprised that no one has reviewed this product yet. This is my staple everyday lotion. It is not greasy and absorbs quickly but unlike many lotions, does not feel 20 minutes later as if I had never put lotion on. My skin is incredibly smooth and soft. Another bonus of this product is that it is paraben-free and all-natural, so I don't feel like harsh chemicals are being absorbed into my skin. I buy this in the 32-oz. pump bottle which lasts forever, but they also have smaller 8-oz. bottles. Also, unlike many unscented products, it doesn't have a synthetic smell--it is completely fragrance-free, just as it promises! I will continue repurchasing this as long as it is sold.

I alternate between using this and the jojoba lotion. I love them both because they are very lightweight so they don't make my skin feel greasy. I would not recommend these products for people with dry skin though, because I don't think they would be moisturizing enough. The fragrance is difficult to describe, but it's very fresh and is indeed relaxing. I prefer the more soapy-smelling scent of the jojoba lotion, but this one is very nice as well. It's quite expensive, but it lasts me a long time and I haven't found anything that has been able to match the scent. It comes in a pump bottle which is convenient, and the packaging is very pretty on your nightstand.
I bought this after running out of my Desert Essence apple and ginseng volumizing conditioner which I love, and I noticed this had ginseng in it as well so I thought I would give it a try since it was so cheap and you get so much product. The smell is very nice, but I don't feel like it has any volumizing effects. My hair is soft and not damaged, and it didn't make my hair especially flat, it just didn't volumize it. I also hate the packaging, because the cap is impossible to open without breaking a nail. I wouldn't repurchase this, but it's a nice basic conditioner.
