BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
moonbeam62 9/11/2012 2:24:00 AM
Terrible product! The smell is so strong, cloying, and doesn't go away. It made my face greasy even when my skin has been a bit on the dry side. Looks terrible on the skin. I am better wearing a bit of powder than this product...absolutely no coverage. Would never purchase again!

Fragrances -Aquolina - Pink Sugar
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 2:11:00 AM
I bought this fragrance after seeing a review from Michele1218 saying that it smells so good. It is a very sweet scent. At first I didn't like it. Normally wearing clean or floral scents. The very first time I wore it to work I must have had eight people tell me how good I smelled! Including my hubby. So needless to say I did get used to wearing sweet scents. It has great staying power, the price is reasonable and I will and have already repurchased and keep a big bottle on my sink and the smaller size in my purse. I don't always wear pink sugar, but it has become my easy every day scent.

Mascara -Mally Beauty - Volumizing Mascara
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 1:59:00 AM
The first time I tried this it felt to wet. On the second try I noticed how much thicker my lashes looked. It is a great mascara. Normally I wouldn't purchase a high end mascara unless I recieved it in a set which I normally do and have around. When I need to purchase a mascara I go to the drugstore. If I run out of mascara's I do plan on purchasing this one. It is that good.

Stick -ModelCo - Power Stick Duo Foundation
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 1:51:00 AM
This foundation on the modelco website is over sixty dollars. I am amazed reading that people found this product for pennies on the dollar at outlet stores! Wish I knew of one! I have been using mineral makeup for over a decade and was tired of the mess. Loved keeping a stick foundation in my bag for a quick touch up if I want to go out after work. Sadly they discontinued Loreal's stick foundation in the USA. Why Loreal?? What I love about this is all of the good things they have in the center of this stick foundation that conditions your skin. You would think a stick foundation would look and feel heavy. This one looks and feels like you have nothing on your skin. Its easy. It feels good. It looks good. Will I pay sixty plus dollars for it again? No, but will try to purchase elsewhere if I can find it for less. I put this and a Nars multiple in my bag and I am good to go.

Eyeliner -Guerlain - Loose Kohl in Brun
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 1:39:00 AM
I just finished writing a review on this product in Noir. (black) The product takes practice and a steady hand to apply. It stays put in your waterline and gives off a very seductive look. The price of this liner is a bit high. I love the look. The only reason I am choosing the would not repurchase option is because of tremors in my hands when I get too tired. Otherwise its an excellent product that lasts much longer than a normal liner.

Eyeliner -Guerlain - Loose Kohl in Noir
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 1:33:00 AM
This product is a bit pricey. I remember buying a solid kohl from Sephora and actually liked that much better. The application of this takes some practice. Once you get the hang of it especially for you waterline its exceptional. The downside for me is that it takes a steady hand, patience, and some time to get it right which I have little of so my two Guerlain eyeliners sit waiting for a time when I do. Are they a good product? Yes Would I repurchase? No, but the reason has nothing to do with the product itself unless you get so exhausted that you have tremors in your hands too? :( In another life I would have loved these.

Palettes -Stila - pon pon gerbera eye shadow trio
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 1:19:00 AM
What can I say about this palette? I was looking for the perfect medium pink and found it. That there was a reddish burnished plum in the set was a bonus and the hightlight is very pretty too. Besides the shadows being beautiful on the eyes the palette itself that they came in is gorgeous as well and reusable. Its a lovely pressed alluminum with flowers. If they had made a big one that fit many shadows I would have hopped on that train. Too bad they didn't think of that. Women love pretty things and I am no exception. This is still available at a fraction of what it used to cost on many different websites. If you love pinks you will love this!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Kitten
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 1:01:00 AM
This is such a versatile shadow. Used in on the lid to brighten your eyes, paired with a neutral its lovely, used with any darker shadow in the crease, use in the corners and brow bone to highlight, the list goes on and on.....it is a pretty pale barely beige cream shimmery color and this type of shimmer is not aging in the least. This is a shimmer, not a glitter. It enhances every eye color. Its such a bright clean easy look. There is nothing not to like. I bought three of them so it will be quite some time before I need to repurchase. Will I repurchase? Absolutely!

Eye Shadow -Mally Beauty - long wearing shadow stick
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 12:26:00 AM
I own these in at least five colors. Angel A shimmery pale pink Rose Gold A light shimmery pale golden rose Gunmetal A shimmery charcoal grey Dusk A shimmery medium to darkish taupe Taupe Shimmery taupe My worklife is crazy hard with long hours that leave me with little time or energy for my makeup. During those times I have what I call my no brainers. This is one of them because you can be half asleep while applying them. :) This shadow takes literally seconds with the appearance that you took much more time and care than you did. Mally calls many of her products "bulletproof" these shadow definitely fit that bill.Once you put them on you have 15 to 20 seconds to smudge it. They don't come off until you take them off. I love them all! Unless you get them in a kit (which I would suggest) they are a bit pricey at $25.00 a shadow.....but well worth the price if you are like me and haven't much time to do your makeup. The only downside would be that she doesn't offer these in any matte shades. The pale rose and pink shade on the lid with the gunmetal or taupe in the crease or at your v is so pretty. I always get compliments when I wear these. Will definitely continue to repurchase!

Eye Shadow -Mally Beauty - Midtown Merlot
moonbeam62 2/5/2011 12:05:00 AM
Love the colors in this palette. The shadows are highly pigmented and all have very unique colors, this one is no exception filled with wine and rose pink colored shades. If I ran out would definitely repurchase. Would really like to buy a few of her other palettes. Why isn't this amazing lady with her crazy good products available at Sephora? Its a shame since because of that I often forget to look at her products and end up picking out something much less wonderful.

Eye Primer -Laura Geller - Eye Spackle
moonbeam62 2/4/2011 11:58:00 PM
I don't remember buying this so it must have come in a kit or free with a purchase. Eye spackle is supposed to be an eyeshadow primer like UD primer potion. This is very thick and in a small pot, it goes on extremely pale. It does work as long as you use the right amount which means not putting too much on or not enough and I will continue to use it until its gone. My preference between the two would be the primer potion especially since they changed the packaging to a tube. If they hadn't I may have given a different answer since I hated the nasty doe footed applicator the former was in. I like the idea of a potted primer since you will use it all with no waste. Not sure if I would repurchase since I don't know the purchase price. I wish it went on a little darker instead of so white. It does work though and my shadow does not crease when I use it.

Eye Shadow -Laura Geller - Baked Marble Eyeshadow-Pink Icing
moonbeam62 2/4/2011 11:48:00 PM
This shadow was a little disappointing because I was hoping it would be a bit more of a medium pink. It goes on such a pale shade that you might not know it is pink at all, but a frosty light shade. For this reason it sits in my drawer not being used. I would not be repurchasing this color.

Bronzers -Laura Geller - Bronze-N-Brighten
moonbeam62 2/4/2011 11:42:00 PM
Once in awhile I do still use this. Being a Bare Escentuals user for years I liked the idea of something less messy that I would be able to carry in my purse for touch ups. When I bought mine they had changed it into this palette instead of being able to buy just the powder foundation. I use a light hand and it does even out my skintone. Using a retractable brush in a circular motion is how I use it instead of attempting to use them separately to contour. The convenience is wonderful, but I will probably try another brand of powder foundation for my purse since I would prefer my bronzer to be in a separate compact. It claims to have antiaging properties, but since I don't have any wrinkles I can't attest to that. I do still like many of Laura Gellers products very much. It feels like she is being pigeon holed since her products left Sephora. Her makeup is not just for older women and very economical since many of her products are baked and powders do not turn bad the way creams do. Her eyeshadows are amazing and are able to be used wet for a foiled look or dry. All in all, this is good, but could be better. Love Laura and will definitely try out her new version of this when it comes out.

Eyes -Laura Geller - Eye Rimz Baked Wet/Dry Accents
moonbeam62 2/4/2011 9:55:00 PM
This is an item that I have had and used for years. I have it in the black/plum combination and am not sure they still make this color combo. I do own a couple of her other eye rimz that she added sparkle to which I am not crazy about. This black/plum combination is so good. It doesn't dry out half way through the product the way gel liners do, is so easy to apply and never turns bad. I truly love cake liner and sometimes wonder why I use anything else except that I am an eyeliner and blush addict!! You can buy a sealer or an additive now that will make the liner waterproof. Even without those products this lasts all day on me. The liner is a cake form and looks like a shadow, in fact you can use this as a shadow to create a smokey eye if you wish. I take a fine liner or a flat headed push brush Nars #2...add two or three small drops of water to the color desired and pat the brush into the pan until the liner is the desired consistency. It applies just like a liquid liner so for the novice it may take a little practice, if this is the case I would recommend beginning using the push brush and graduate to a fine liner brush when you master the technique. You can make an amazing dramatic eye or the softest natural look by applying the liner in dry form. After adding two drops of water to the cake liner it will dry to its original form within minutes so you need to work with it at once. If it dries before you finish just add another drop of water. Its a great versatile product to own and if you sway toward using a gel or pencil liners for a few months or even a year this product will still be in your kit as good as new waiting for you to remember how wonderful it was. If you are like me and prefer a matte liner and cannot find this in that form by Laura Geller I know that Laura Mercier, Chanel, Ben Nye, and I think* Bobbi Brown might even have one. I can't say enough about cake liners. Very under rated product that everyone would enjoy. I will always repurchase these and its a safe bet that they will be available since someone has been making them since before we were all born! That in itself is proof how good it is.

Lip Treatments -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Balm-All
moonbeam62 2/4/2011 9:25:00 PM
This is the newest balm to my collection. I have had it a week now and so far so good. I like the deepest shade in portofina and am also enjoying Bora Bora. It says that it plumps your lips and makes them fuller which I don't need, but the promise of hydration and conditioning along with a sheer color had me at hello. I feel a little tingling (must be the plumping agent?) have not noticed my lips are any fuller, but they do seem to feel well nourished. The downside of this product is not being as portable and convenient to apply. I don't like sticking my fingers in my cosmetics out of fear of contamination and carrying a lip pot around with a brush during work is out of the question. I use it more at home, shopping, or out to dinner with hubby. If they continue to keep my lips as nice as they have been this week I will definitely buy more and continue to repurchase. The price point makes it even more appealing.
