Treatments -Clairol - Natural Instincts Shine Happy clear shine treatment

I have a lot of fine, wavy blonde hair which can easily be weighed down by shine enhancing products. In my quest for shiny locks I thought I would give this a try. Well, it didn't weigh my hair down (yay!) but, it didn't make it shiny either (booo!). I honestly noticed no difference at all, no colour was lifted and although my hair was a bit drier, I chalked that up to the days I've been spending at the beach without a hat. A waste of money, and a big disappointment.
Treatments (Eye) -Avon - ANEW PERFECT Eye Care Cream

I've been trying this for a few weeks now as I'm looking for a nourishing undereye cream with SPF. Unfortunately, this one aggravated the skin around my eyes giving me dry skin and mild eczema - now my wrinkles look even worse, sigh......
Cleansers -Olay - Deep Cleansing Face Wash w/witch hazel

I have normal/combination skin that has a tendency to get spotty with hormonal changes. Always on the lookout for a good cleanser I thought I would give this a try. This cleanser removes makeup and every last bit of oil on your face, which to some is great, but left me with a face as tight as Joan Rivers'...yeeowch! Don't even think of using this if you're worried about drying out your skin.
I love almost all of the LV line. This is a pretty straight up, moist and earthy patchouli which lasts forever and a day on me, which is almost unheard of. There are no flowers or vanilla to get in the way and I would say that it is a fairly unisex scent. Smells similar to Kiss My Face Peaceful Patchouli lotion (which is also a staple of mine) although layering the two may cause 70's acid flashbacks and cause you to dance naked to Joan Baez.
Yes, this is a strong fragrance, and that is probably one of the main reasons I love Aromatics Elixir. It is a wonderful, earthy green scent that despite the heavy patchouli actually smells quite clean and fresh on me. Like TM's Angel, people have a love/hate relationship with it and must also be applied with a light hand. It is a very comforting fragrance that works best in cold weather. If you are a chypre lover and are ready for one of the "big guns", don't be afraid of AE, just use sparingly and you will discover just how magnificent it really is.
Truth be told, I am a lover of the original Youth Dew, Cinnabar, Opium and all things strong and spicy so when I got my hands on a little bottle of Youth Dew Amber Nude (which, by the way I feel is a horrible name....) I was hoping that I could add it to my harem. It starts off similar to Youth Dew, a strong spicy floral that initiates a "whoo whee" reaction. Then, in just a few moments it softens and the patchouli and amber notes creep up and it becomes a gorgeous, luxurious oriental. I smell no chocolate whatsoever, which is a good thing as it would be sorely bullied by the more aggressive notes. I am reluctant to give it a full 5 lips as I feel it does not pay hommage to the original YD, a fragrance that launched Estee Lauder into cosmetic stardom. Mr. Ford should have at least prettied up the bottle a little, Ms. Lauder would not have appreciated the new look : )
Being the chypre girl that I think I am, and with Fall fast approaching, I knew I had to get my hands on a bottle of Dioressence. Wow... it's soft, it's spicy and it's everything that I hoped it would be. A bit hard to find, and not as well known as it should be - if you love chypres like I love chypres go and get a bottle, it'll rock your world.

On my quest to find an EDP dupe of the lovely i Profumi di Firenze Ambra del Nepal, I was recommended that GLS had a great one. Was I ever surprised to find out that not only was it very very similar to the original, it lasted twice as long on me. It is a lovely, warm amber which dries down to a creamy, spicy vanilla. There is no plastic note, which I can detect from some e-tailer products, and the staying power is the bomb! My number one recommendation for anyone looking for that perfect cool weather scent. I have had excellent luck with GLS, her CS is fantastic and she had a huge variety of scents for those of us who don't want to smell like cookies, cakes or pies.
I'm surprised at the poor reviews on this fragrance, it's as if they were trying a completely different product! I tried Miss Dior Cherie today as I was browsing my local dept store, and at first I thought that the initial strawberry sweetness was going to be the end of it but then after about 10 min it dried to the most gorgeous, smooth and fruity base. The patchouli is there in small amounts which is what I think keeps this from being too sugary sweet. To top it all off I got three (!!) compliments on it as I continued my shopping. Now, if that doesn't make me get a full bottle, I must be losing my mind. BTW it smells NOTHING like Miss Dior, which I also like. If you are looking for a "lite" version of MD, this isn't it. It would be considered a fruity chypre, but a sweet little girl version of one.
Diorella is one of my favourite summer fragrances. After the initial citrusy burst, which smells faintly of expensive men's cologne, you get a wonderful slightly fruity green drydown. It smells clean and fresh and it lasts all day on me, which is practically unheard of.

Wowzers! This is a gorgeous soft amber scent that can be worn all day, any day, anytime of the year IMO! It is a touch gourmand (the vanilla) but not cloying or sweet in any respects. It is luscious and warm and lacks the slightly feral, woodsy smell of SL Ambre Sultan (which my DH loves but I'm not so keen on). A must buy, now I just have to save up the $$!
I can understand where people can get a body odour note from Pamplelune, the mix of grapefruit and patchouli is a volatile mix and will react with your skin either positively or negatively - so test it first. That being said, I am lucky enough to have this react wonderfully with my chemistry. The grapefruit is fresh and summery and never fails to give me an olfactory buzz. The patchouli is not strong and it dries to a warm vanilla base. A must have for the summer.

Why didn't I read the description carefully first? There is a maple sugar note that completely destroys what could have been a lovely violet fragrance. It is so sweet that I can't even bring myself to wear it in fear of giving myself a sugar migraine. Next time I'm getting Snow Angel!!

I was quite surprised with Snow Angel as I haven't had much luck with other e-tailer products. I don't find this to be very powdery, more of a nice musk base that lasts a long time on my skin. Similar to the Body Shop's White Musk without the heaviness. I like the clean feel of it and find it to be a perfect scent for these warm months.

I loved the smell of this lotion but after just 3 days I broke out in hives all over my arms and legs. I'm not sure what the ingredient is that caused this reaction but as soon as I stopped using this product the hives went away.
