I have stopped looking for a sophisticated red for my nails. I am yellow tone and this red, though described as cool tone by some, suits me perfectly. It is the perfect sophisticated red, not to dark that you cannot see the red and not to red that screams from attention. And it lasts. Highly recommended.
Palettes -Chantecaille - L'Ombre et la Rose (Shadow and the Rose)

Love the quality of this pallette, produces long lasting and natural look. This is one of the very few eyeshadow that does not crease on my lid.
Polishes -Rimmel - French Manicure Cafe Au Lait 464

This is my HG nude polish. I cannot comment on how 2 coats look as I only apply one since I prefer my polish to be sheer and natural. One coat give me polished and clean looking nails. I have a hard time finding the right shade of nude as I have very yellow skin tone, most nudes (with beige or pink) end up looking white on my nails. But this is a truly perfect nude shade for me.
Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Evolution of Color for eyes in Brown Velvet

I have shelves filled with brown eyeshadows and each time I see a new brown I think this is it - it is difficult to find a brown that does not turn too red, too muddy etc when applied to my very yellow toned skin. LM's brown velvet consists of 3 different shades of brown and one bone colour shadow. By swishing my eye shadow brush in all the browns I end up with the perfect shade of subtle brown which is neither too red or muddy looking.
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Botani Olive Soothing Cleanser

I was looking for a cleanser to replace my Fancl cleansing oil. Though I have read about the wonders of oilive oil, I have never heard or read about this brand. I needed a new cleanser and wanted to replace the Fancl which I bought because I could not find something better. I am so glad I bought Botani because I can see myself using this cleanser for life, it is gentle but effective even for eye make up (I do not wear heavy eye make up so I do not know whether it is good for water proof eye makeup). Last but not least, this is the first and only cleanser which does not leave my face feel tight after I rinsed it with water. All the other cleansers, despite claiming otherwise, left me with a tight face, just as I thought that tightness is inevitable after cleansing, I found my HG cleanser in Botani Olive Soothing cleanser.
Eye Shadow -Shu Uemura - Cream Eye Shadow in P Brown

This is the best cream eyeshadow as far as I am concerned. Does not crease, long lasting, very sheer and can be build up to the desired intensity. I use sand brown for the crease and beige for highlight which give me a super natural barely made up look. Will buy a darker shade to use as eyeliner.
Shampoo -Sisley - SHAMPOO with botanical extracts frequent use

I have never paid so ridiculously much for a shampoo but I decided to give it a try given the rave reviews here. Unfortunately, this is not the shampoo for me. My hair is processed and the ends are dry and parched. This shampoo leaves my hair heavy and greasy. I guess this shampoo is just not meant for Asian hair which seems to fair better with Japanese shampoos.
I would never have considered this colour had it not been for the reviews here because it looks like an unattractive dirty latte shade in the bottle. Now that I have tried it I know my (eternal) search for a neutral polish which suits my yellow based skin tone has ended. This is the perfect neutral shade for me, all the other neutral shades either end up too white or too pink which only makes the yellow in my skin more yellow. But Au Natural gives my nails a perfect, polished, healthy look. I was going to stop using nail polish when I read about Au Natural but it is so beautiful it justifies a change of mind.
This is a fantastic mascara base, way better than the famous Sheiseido's mascara base. My (asian) lashes are significantly elongated and the curls hold pretty much throughout the day. After buying this I have bin the Sheiseido's.
This is a very moisturizing lipstick which is very sheer with decent lasting power. I hardly ever purchase the same lipstick a second time but I see myself re-purchasing this. I have "Eclipse" which is a flattering berry colour.
Very expensive but I find it very effective for concealing undereyes. It covers the undereye circles effectively but does not accentuate the lines (which I have many). The powder that comes with it does not dry or cake my already dry undereyes area. Highly recommended. EDIT: You really need to moisturize your undereye area very well to use those concealer which is on the dry side
Treatments (Eye) -Chantecaille - Stress Repair Concentre

Save your money. It did not do anything to my lines or dark circles. It is extremely expensive but does not deliver any results. Worse part is that it stings my eyes, my eyes get watery and have a "burning" feeling whenver I use this cream. Very disappointing.
It is like rubbing top quality pure cashmere onto your skin. The scent is subtle but beautiful. However it is ridiculously expensive.
Lipstick -Sue Devitt - Balanced Sheer Lipstick in Hollywood
momochow 11/24/2005 11:39:00 PM
This is a beautiful colour, a very neutral pink which I think would suit anyone whether the skin tone is warm or cool. It gives a very natural but polished look. The texture is very moisturising.
Concealers -Chantecaille - New Stick - Foundation and Concealer
momochow 7/11/2005 11:42:00 PM
I have never come across a concealer which is so expensive with zero performance. The price of this concealer is no reflection of its effectiveness. It is very moisturising but the texture is so thin when applied on my undereye area it is as if I have not applied anything at all, let alone concealer to cover my dark circles. Very disappointing. I would recommend you try it out at the counter before parting with your cash on this one.
