Eyeliner -Inglot - Eyeliner Gel
mochio 3/28/2012 4:45:00 AM
BLACKER than blacktrack! And less smudgy (I have oily monolids) and DEFINITELY waterproof (stayed out through 3 hours of sweaty dance class). I've yet to try it all day; but it's lovely and so so worth it to me! Cheaper than fluidline, bobbi brown and more worth it than maybelline's! The formula is not as watery as blacktrack, which I love because it seems to contribute to greater opacity. Ive tried mac bobbi brown and stila and I like this the best! Oh yeah, and the glass is super light! (unlike the glass ones that come with mac or bobbi brown) I feel like I need the least amount of product on my brush to get a nice opaque line. Not sure , but this is my first Inglot purchase; I'll be updating soon!

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Gel Eyeliner

dude...this smudges really badly on my monolids. It didn't smudge that much at first, but for some reason, now that I've had it for a while..it gives me SERIOUS raccoon eyes. NOT. OKAY. Especially for a tiny pot. Packaging is alright, but prefer other liners for sure!! This really turned me off from gel eyeliners, which I've been using for like 5 years now..

Cleansers -Desert Essence - Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with Organic Tea Tree Oil and Awapuhi
mochio 1/13/2012 4:44:00 PM
I originally bought it as an everyday face wash, but found it too drying for that. This is still good stuff, though. What I use it for: when my face is feeling hormonal or oily, I'll wash my face with this after I've removed my makeup with oil cleanser. I use it in junction with my shiseido brush and although my skin feels "drier," it looks cleaner and smoother in the morning. The formulation is thin and runny and foams quite a bit. The temporary dryness is worth it though, for when I wake up in the morning. Blackheads appear dimished and no new pimples have emerged. Definitely doesn't clog pores (i'm look at YOU mineral oil filled shu uemura cleanser) and thus doesn't irritate my skin. I wouldn't use this more than a few times a week though, and more as a treatment face wash. Also doubles as a makeup brush cleaner woot woot! Will let you know how satisfied I am with usage when I finish up the bottle.

Foundations -Giorgio Armani - Face Fabric Second Skin Nude Makeup
mochio 1/12/2012 5:14:00 AM
Applied with my fingers; don't really know what I think about this. Clearly you need a concealor with this. If you want something to simply smooth out your skin, this stuff is great and indeed doesn't feel like foundation. Probably great for those trying to even out skin texture. But I'm looking for more coverage in a foundation, especially if I'm forking. My primary concerns are covering redness around my nose and hyperpigmentation from sunspots and acne scars on my cheeks. Fills in my pores very nicely. So, for what it is, a light "second-skin" foundation, it's very nice; I'd have to agree with a previous reviewer when they say it's like a tinted primer. It's chock-full of silicones (or at least feels like it) which is another reason why it probably disagreed with my skin. Finish is great and unbelievably dreamy smooth, but silicones never agree with my skin. My skin actually felt like I was wearing something (probably because I'm not used to wearing primer in the first place). I also am not sure the MA matched me with the right shade. I'm about a MAC NC25, and I got #3, which while at first appears quite dark, is an alright match to my skin. Has enough yellow at least, but probably matched to NC30 at best. I am always dissatisfied with a lot of foundations because I have light-medium Asian skin and am constantly on a search for something that makes my skin look radiant instead of beige-tinted and dull. I just need something that feels more natural on my skin. This isn't for me, but I can't deny that for what it is, this product is probably one of the best.

BB Cream -Unlisted Brand - Enprani - Ray Shot BB Cream SPF 25
mochio 12/29/2011 4:43:00 PM
This is my first BB cream! I actually wanted, but settled for this as it was one of two BB creams the H Mart near my house offered (the other being Missha) At $55, it was not cheap, but. It's fragranced, though not irritating and moisturizing (though the finish dries down to more matte than dewy) It gives tinted-moisturizer-like coverage; light and covers up pores, and 80% of redness (but not blemishes) I don't expect a BB cream to cover everything anyway. I really like that BB creams let your skin feel like it's breathing and I seriously felt like I wasn't wearing foundation. Might accentuate dry flakes, but the problem disappeared when I exfoliated. Very pretty metallic pink packaging (squeeze tube with twist off cap) and comes with travel size! Has UVB and UVA protection, which is great because my daily moisturizer is only SPF15. It spreads sooo easily too! I only need a pea sized amount to cover my entire face. I'm about a MAC NC25 and it matches me pretty well. It does lean slightly pink, but I prefer this than the orange tint that a lot of foundations give me.I tried comparing it with my regular foundation (Laura Mercier silk creme in beige ivory) on my hand, and the bb cream disappeared whereas the other one looked orange. Also, it's not a terrible cast; it gets better throughout the day, and still looks natural, like I'm not wearing foundation, which i like because I dance a lot and need something that doesn't feel like a mask, but still helps cover acne scars and redness. Overall great product! My skin did need to adjust (I think I got a bit of clogged pores the first 3-4 days), but then it didn't happen anymore! Will continue using until I find a better breathable foundation. (I actually prefer fragrance free)

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Shy Girl
mochio 12/12/2011 9:37:00 AM
Er...I dunno if this is because my lips are semi-pigmented or what but I don't really like it that much :/ It settles into my lines wahh. The color's still rather pretty on my NC25-30 skin, nude/peachypink! Looks so awesome on other's swatch pictures, but I'd rather wear clear gloss than this. Maybe I'm just more of a pigmented lip person. I could for sure find a better texture elsewhere, but the color is hard to beat!

Lipstick -MAC - So Chaud
mochio 12/12/2011 9:34:00 AM
I really really like it! It's a great bold orange red shade on my NC25 skin. It lasts SUPER long too (aka I ate tons of pasta)! and it was wonderfully intact (with the right lipliner/blotting etc) My favorite way of wearing this is actually not straight on. I actually just really like mixing this with a nude color. I dab this over my foundation to get the prettiest strawberry-orange color! :) 2 lipsticks in one!

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Albion Essential Skin Conditioner
mochio 12/11/2011 7:57:00 AM
Oh man! I went through one bottle of this and am halfway through my second. I discovered this brand when I was in Taiwan last summer. I believe it's a Japanese brand. Anyway, this is supposed to be one of their most popular items! It has whitening properties I think and is supposed to be applied AFTER emulsion! It's very wonderful though, as I find it moisturizing and somewhat skin-softening. My skin does look slightly brighter; it also accepts moisturizer particularly well after wiping my face down with this! I was totally sucked in at the counter when they used it on my skin in combination with the. This is not cheap at all though, so I do feel a bit guilty using it. I'll use it if my skin feels "rough" in combination with the Exage corges milk (pink bottle) which is CRAZY moisturizing btw! It seeps into your pores and your skin atop does NOT feel greasy but your skin feels so moist and plump. It is the most moisturizing thing I've ever put on my skin (will write a review for it next). Who knew Asian skincare had sooo many steps?! Before I approached the Albion counter, I pretty much just cleansed and moisturized. And then I found out about the emulsion, softener/toner, serum, moisturizer sunblock. crazy! Anyway, considering all the other items in my skincare routine are more wallet-friendly though, I allow myself this luxury. I don't expect any single skin product to be a miracle worker, but this is fantastic for calming skin, tightening pores, and softening it! Well...I think that's what it's doing!

Cleansers -Laneige - Multi-Cleanser
mochio 12/11/2011 7:52:00 AM
I have had the 3 in 1 in the pink packaging and I've used it on and off. Sigh...I wanted to like this cleanser so much! True, it cleans off my makeup, but at what cost? My skin's rather sensitive and combination and my skin felt rather dry/tight after using it. I don't like over-stripping my skin. Furthermore, it stings if gotten into the eyes, and I'd rather use a cleansing oil to cleanse the entire face. I guess I'm a bit lazy when it comes to using a separate eye make-up remover before cleansing, but hey, if your facial cleanser can do both, why not? I'm not a fan of that dry feeling and while it certainly takes it off, I feel I have to rub harder than with most cleansers to dissolve makeup. It smells pretty nice but also slightly chemical-ish (am I the only one who detects this?) You only need and it doesn't foam as much as, persay, my Shiseido perfect whip. Rather, the rubbing action with the small exfoliating particles takes off your makeup instead of the foaming part. I do like that it comes in a squeeze tub and it's handy for traveling and when you need a quick fix to take off your makeup, exfoliate, and cleanse; still, I think there are gentler options on the market for a lower price.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Berry Swirl
mochio 12/11/2011 7:36:00 AM
I'm in loooove!! I couldn't find my original lizard lips stick, so I settled for this. This smells divine! Like a grape popsicle and has beautiful raspberry-red swirls in it. It moisturizes rather well and leaves a delicate sheen on the lips! I suspect there is a very very faint shimmer in there. At any rate, lips look top-notch and are protected with the SPF 10. I always, always seems to have trouble finding a nice-smelling, decently moisturizing chapstick that has SPF. They either leave a white cast (I'm looking at YOU Nivea spf 30!) or have an odd artificial flavor (cough Blistex and Carmex). My only gripe is that the ingredients are not all natural with some coloring additives, but hey! can't win 'em all! (i checked the ingredients for all the chapsticks at Rite-Aid, and found this to be one of the least offensive) Will repurchase for sure!

Conditioner -Neutrogena - triple moisture deep recovery hair mask
mochio 8/9/2011 4:44:00 AM
love it! have used it a few times in the last few weeks. After the first time, my hair felt much softer. After a few uses, my hair feels sooo silky. I'm not sure what prompted it to begin a sad descent into dry hay around a month ago, but this hair mask gave it some much needed TLC. I have relatively thick, wavy Asian hair that needs to be tamed. I use this mask in place of a conditioner and all I can say when I feel my hair is aaaaaaah! Try it! Great purchase for a drugstore beauty buy.

Masks -Freeman - Pure Ambition Purifying Facial Clay mask with Avocado and Oatmeal
mochio 6/11/2011 7:08:00 PM
Hm...this is mask is alright; it a good purchase for its price. Quick fix-it for when my skin is feeling congested, but lately seems to be burning my skin and feels tight and uncomfortable after a while. (it didn't have this feel at first though, when I purchased it over a year ago) I do have somewhat sensitive skin as well. Feels soothing and creamy going on. I leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse it off in the sink. Skin feels tight and smooth for at least 2 days. Worth the stinging I suppose.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Soothingly Sensitive Aloe and Buttermilk Lotion
mochio 5/25/2011 9:08:00 PM
Ugh; wanted something natural and nice smelling because my skin started to feel dry. NOPE! Comes in a squeeze tube & makes my skin soft (kind of thin formula) but not good enough to offset the chemical-plastic smell emanating from every inch of skin this lotion touches. Seriously, not a nice smell. 8 bucks at my local drugstore. How does aloe and buttermilk turn into this??! Return!

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Natural Eye Palette
mochio 5/23/2011 1:32:00 AM
I'm in LOVE with this palette! Got it as a gift, so can't comment much on the price, but would totally buy it again. Has a great mix of neutrals/ shimmery neutrals/ dramatic browns to go from day to night. The only shade I don't use to much is Fashion, which is a glittery peachy shade. Other than that, I use some combination of these pretty much everyday. I'm a newbie with the neutral look, so this is perfect. Also, Perfect with my asian skintone! (and many others, as I've tested this on my friends as well)

Cleansers -Kose - Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
mochio 3/7/2011 3:38:00 AM
EGGSELLENT! I LOVE! i hate paying a ton for cleanser, but i also really dislike when my cleanser fails to remove everything, including my sunscreen, my makeup & my eye makeup. this totally doesn't break me out (I thought previously that it did, so i stopped using it), but I started eating healthier (ie more veggies, less fried/junkfood&candy) and my skin is back to smooth again! takes off all my makeup, including eye, is not irritating for my sensitive skin, and is nice for massaging old acne scars and (hopefully) helping them fade. PLUS sometimes i don't use moisturizer after because my skin doesn't feel stripped. ++++! sooo happy! ps don't expect your cleanser to do all the work for your skin! ONE BOTTLE LATER: still loving it! :)
