Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Syrup
mmmellowdee 2/25/2009 9:04:00 AM
This is the perfect YLBB shade for me. I love it. It adds a little color without being over the top and the formula is creamy, feels good on. I've recently fallen in love with mac lipsticks, but this is my favorite thus far!

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - HIP Jelly Balm [DISCONTINUED]
mmmellowdee 8/18/2008 1:47:00 PM
I got these at my local CVS. They're currently on sale for $6.99 and I had some extra bucks saved up so I got two for $10! I picked up Delectable and Succulent. Both very pretty. This is a nice alternative to lipgloss and I like that you apply it with your fingers. This is perfect for those "natural" makeup days.

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - tinted Brow gel in Espresso
mmmellowdee 8/7/2008 11:25:00 AM
So, I bought this at the recommendation of Sephora SA. Got it home, hated it. Returned it. Then, my friend tried it on me and used it the right way... I re-purchased and love it! I have very dark brown hair and I had been doing my brows a tinsy bit too light. This color is perfect. The gel keeps unruly lashes in place all day. You don't need a lot, my mistake the first time around. And it takes a little practice, but this stuff is fabulous! I imagine it will last a while and at $19 I definitely think I will be re-purchasing!

Lotions/ Creams -Cetaphil - Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion For Dry Sensitive Skin
mmmellowdee 6/12/2008 1:56:00 PM
I bought this to use under and around my eyes since every "eye cream" I've tried just dries the skin so badly! And this actually helps. I do find that it takes a while to absorb though so I have to wait when using it in the morning before makeup. But it works really well and is very hydrating. Will definitely re-puchase.

Hair Color -Clairol - Brass Free Brunettes
mmmellowdee 4/21/2008 1:49:00 PM
Ok, I'm only 29 and starting to get the occasional grey hair. I decided once I saw one near my hairline that that was it! I was not having it. Haha. Not crazy about the idea of a permanent dye so I tried Natural Instincts in Chesnut. Which was pretty close to my natural color. However, the slight red tones I had were brought out ever more and I hated it. Loved the grey coverage, didn't like the color. I wanted just true dark brown. I decided to with the medium brown brass free and I love it. Not a sign of red (or grey). It's a beautiful deep chocolatey brown. A little darker than my natural color, but fabulous. I just touch it up once a month and it's perfect. SO happy they came out with this because I really didn't want to have to go the permanant route. Love it!

Palettes -Bare Escentuals - Get Started : Eyes, Cheeks, Lips - Fair To Light
mmmellowdee 4/15/2008 9:33:00 AM
I'm typically an EM user. I don't care for BM foundation, but I'm slowly falling in love with their blushes, eyeshadows and lip products. So, this seemed like a nice kit to pick up. These are especially cool because they are designed to with your compexion. I bought the fair to light. And all the colors together do give you a really pretty, natural look! This includes three eye colors, Winter White (kind of a cream color), Smokey (smokey grayish beigh color), and Nurture liner (which is a dark brownish color). A blush, Kiss (sheer pink shimmer), and a mini Dolly Buxom Lip. Also, you get three brushes (a great value). The tapered blush brush (which I love!), Doubled ended quick color & crease brush). The quick color side is okay, your basic e/s brush. But the crease side is fantastic and works really well for me. And the Heavenly liner brush. Which I'm still undecided about. I tend to like a more defined line and this gives you sort of a diffused line. Overall a great collection. Took of one lippie because the winter white color doesn't seem to want to blend very well and always looks like I'm wearing too much or not enough, or something. I wish the consistency were a little creamer like my beloved EM shadows. Overall, good product and I'd probably buy it again.

Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Babes Lip Tints
mmmellowdee 4/15/2008 9:20:00 AM
I recently got into the buxom lip glosses and I love them. So when I saw this little collection I had to pick it up! There are four mini size fruit flavored glosses included. Cherry (cherry scented with a sheer pink gloss), Coco (coconut scented, with a clear gloss), Margarita (berry-lime scented with a sheer berry gloss), Melonie (melon scented with a sheer fuschia gloss). These all smell and taste fabulous. I figured they'd be great for summer. At $28 for the set the price isn't too bad. The size is conveinent and seems like it'll last a while. Very cute, fun product that will work well for everyone.

Misc Beauty Tools -Sonia Kashuk - Metal Eyelash Comb
mmmellowdee 4/14/2008 5:22:00 PM
This is fantastic for separating out lashes after you've applied mascara. However, it is sharp. Be careful! I poked my finger (thank god it was only my finger and not my eyes) many times. And bled. Ouch. It was only $8 and goes with everywhere. But again, careful.

Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Lip Gloss in Trixie
mmmellowdee 4/14/2008 5:15:00 PM
I have to say I love all the Buxom glosses I have tried so far. They're very glossy, but not sticky. With sheer colors that are very pretty! This one is a nice pink. Love the cooling effects of these glosses as well. At $18, I think they're well worth it.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Swing Set Eye Shadow
mmmellowdee 4/14/2008 5:13:00 PM
A nice matte grey. Great for adding to a smokey or as a crease color for lighter days. As with all EM's shadows a little goes a long way and it's a great value ($2.50 separate or part of $18 mini e/s kit)

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Soft Touch

This is the perfect subtle everyday pink for me. I'm very fair (cool-fair EM foundation) and this just adds a nice light flush. Love it!

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Chit Chat [DISCONTINUED]
mmmellowdee 4/14/2008 5:09:00 PM
I'm very pale so this color scared me it at first. It's a fairly pigmented pink with a nice sheen. However, with a light hand this goes on beautifully! As with all EM products the price is great and it lasts forever.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - silver bells
mmmellowdee 4/14/2008 5:01:00 PM
I got this as a freebie a while back. Never really new where to use it. Lately I've been using it as an eyeliner for a more subtle smokey eye for day and I love it! Beautiful with a nice shimmer. I hope they sell this again around the holidays. Although, I have the EM large size shadow, so I can't imagine I'll run out anytime soon.

Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - buxom lipgloss in Kanani
mmmellowdee 4/3/2008 1:17:00 PM
Really pretty bright pink. Almost too bright for my fair skin but it works well if I have little to no blush and very light e/s. As with all the buxom lips it feels great on and has great staying power for a gloss. Love these!
