So my first setting spray i used was the urban decay all nighter spray. I never noticed much difference when i used as opposed to when i didn't so I wasnt the biggest fan of the product. I really wanted to find a GOOD setting spray and I heard through YouTube and friends that UD setting sprays were better than MAC…but that wasnt the case for me. I ended up buying fix plus anddd I LOVE IT! My make up stays on allll day long. When I get home from about 11 hrs of wear, my makeup still looks fresh!! and the spray smells really good! I bought the bottle a while ago and havent even made a dent in the amount of product i have left so it will last for a while. I'm so glad i decided to try it! Definite new HG item!!

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer

This product is ok. I asked the SA at Sephora for a good primer because i ran out of my MAC prep and prime primer and wanted to try something different. She told me that this is a nice primer because it goes on smoothly because of the silicone in the product and it's long lasting. She was right, it does go on smoothly, but I never saw any amazing results from this as far as lasting power. I really dont think it's anything special really. I would probably get the same results with a drug store primer like Revlon's. It didn't break me out or anything which is good, but once again, it wasn't worth $30. NOTHING special! Their healthy fx foundation is AMAZING though. Perfect for me. So i love Smashbox. Just not this particular product.

So i found this product through here on MUA and wanted to try it for myself because so many people raved about it! I bought a sample off of ebay for like $8 just to see if i would like it and because im a brown skin African American woman so i wanted to see if there would be any issues with the color of the product for me….Well, verdict so far is... i LOVE it!! I've been using it for about 3 days. Usually i use the Smashbox photo finish primer (which i would not repurchase, it's just so-so for me) but i wanted something to make my skin dewy and glowy since winter caused my skin to be a little bit drier and i just like the dewy look! I have normal/combo skin. Just get oily on my nose during the day. I rarely powder during the day because im so busy too. But this primer is awesome. You notice the dewy sheen (NOT glittery at all) as soon as you spread it on your face. I spread it on kind of generously because when i used a dime size amount i wasnt able to see any difference. I wear Smashbox Healthy FX foundation which is sheer coverage so it wasnt because i was using a heavy foundation. It seems likes it fades away during the day but when i come home at night (after about 11hrs of wear) my skin is still dewy and glowy! I put this on after my moisturizer. I haven't experimented using it different ways yet but I will definitely repurchase! I read something about mixing this with Mac's strobe cream and that it makes it look even better so im going to try that next!! :) So glad i tried this! P.s. try not to use a lot of powder or it will diminish the amount of dewiness you will get !!!

I found out about this product after doing research on YouTube. I have sensitive skin but it's not "overly" sensitive. For some reason make up wipes irritated my skin and when i just tried to wash it off with cleanser it took me a while to get it all off, in turn causing irritated skin and clogged pores. When I first purchased the item i thought it was great! A little goes a long way (bottle lasted a long time), it made my skin soft, smelled AMAZING, and it did a great job with taking off pretty much all of my make up. But sadly, that changed. I stopped using it for a few months because I wasnt really wearing make up because my skin was looking wonderful on it's own. Then I started breaking out out of no where and began to wear make up again. I was excited to use the product again but when I did, it broke me out!!! I figured maybe it was something else but every time i've used it since i would have one new pimple in the morning :( Before, I would've definitely repurchased, regardless of the price. But now, I wouldn't. I'm not sure why my skin isn't taking to well to it any more. But i would recommend others trying it because i was in love with it at first!!! Also, one thing i wish would change is the packaging. i wish it came in a pump instead of a squeeze bottle!

Foundations -Smashbox - High Definition Healthy FX Foundation

I. LOVE. THIS. FOUNDATION!!! I walked into Sephora about a year ago and told the sales woman I wanted a foundation that was not heavy, dewy, and has medium coverage so that it would look natural and boy did she deliver!! This foundation is $39 but I dont mind paying that price because I absolute love the foundation. It gives my skin a nice glow and is very light weight. When you dispense product from the pump it can come out a little watery sometimes but that's because it is water based duh! So shake it very well. It definitely doesnt take away from the effectiveness of the product. It is a sheer foundation with not a lot of coverage but as i mentioned I didnt want something heavy for everyday wear so this was perfect. If you have acne scars, the foundation will only slightly blur the scars so you still have to powder and conceal. After that I would recommend using a setting spray to hold it all in place but I just love this foundation. It looks so natural! Very glad I found it!

So I bought this product when I was very new to make up. Like I literally had to ask my friend how to apply liquid foundation and powder and everything lol Two years later I have learned so much and have also learned about the awesomeness of many other products which leads me to conclude that this product was a total fail. The color matched me nicely, it had an ok consistency, and the packaging with the little brush inside is cool but this concealer has no staying power. It wears off fairly quickly. I have acne scars so I need my concealer not do that lol It was a good product for me to use starting out using make up but now that I know there is much better out there I will def. find something else!
