Moisturizers -Mario Badescu - Collagen Moisturizer w/ SPF 15
rated 1 of 5

Like many other MUA reviewers, I received this moisturizer after filling out the online questionnaire. I have now concluded that I am allergic to it! Not only do I have a rash on my neck, but it did not absorb in my skin well and left me feeling very greasy.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Designer Skin-Boutique Bronzing Ambiance - Bronze Bondage
rated 3 of 5
mizleilei 8/21/2008 3:58:00 AM

I am currently finishing up this bottle of product that I bought last year. The only gripe I have about this tanning lotion, is the scent. I usually follow up with another lotion right after to help mask the scent. Its not horrible, but its not pleasant to me. This does a great job in helping you achieve a deep, bronze color though and have been really happy with the results that it has given me. This product is not listed on Designer Skin website anymore, but you can find it on ebay.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Designer Skin - Spellbound
rated 5 of 5

I purchased this tanning lotion about a year ago and have finally used it all up. I love the scent and how soft your skin feels. Per the Designer Skin website, this product claims to have, "Powerful quadruple bronzing serum bathes your skin in the darkest bronze glow imaginable through its advanced blend of Tyrostan®, DHA, Black Walnut Extract, Melanin Activating Peptide and Erythrulose Revolutionary silicone emulsion therapy hydrates and promotes smooth, sinfully-soft skin for a youthful-looking glow" I would rate this tanning lotion an A+. Designer Skin rarely lets me down and I always walk away with awesome color! A definite repurchase!

Misc Beauty Tools -La Cross - Detail Mini Lash Curler
rated 1 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 8:36:00 PM

I should have spent on the Shu Uemura one but decided to just try this one out to see if I like the design and function of it. Not too pleased with the cheaply made curler. It crimps the lashes at too harsh of an angle and can pinch! This is sitting in my forgotten tools box. Don't waste your money!

Blush -MAC - Gleeful
rated 5 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 8:24:00 PM

I wanted to pick up at least one blush from the Sonic Chic line and settled for this color. It shows up on me as a rosy/coral tone which is what I was looking for. I have been using light rose to peach toned blushes and this one is really different than what I have in my collection. I am tempted to purchase another color, but I think I'll refrain.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
rated 5 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 8:01:00 PM

While I do choose my Blitz and Glitz over this because of the glitter, I do love the clean line that Blacktrack produces! Easy dip and stroke as the product description says and is easy to work with. There is plenty of product in this pot and I don't use it everyday, so I won't repurchase unless I need to. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a bold black liner with lasting quality.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Almond - AMANDE Concentre De Lait Milk Concentrate Body Cream - Almond Line
rated 5 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 7:54:00 PM

My gf had this body cream and I loved how quickly it absorbed in my skin and made it feel silky. I am also fond of the scent since I am partial to almond scented lotions. Since The Body Shop discontinued Sesame and Almond Body Butters, this is a good replacement for it! I picked this up at the Seattle Premium Outlets L'Occitane store and received an additional 10% off the already sale price of $48. Not too bad! A little goes a long way and the tub is quite large, so I'll have this for quite sometime before I have to purchase another.

Cleansers -Kanebo - Naive Cleansing Oil
rated 3 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:59:00 PM

Kanebo Naive Cleansing Oil - I was slightly turned off when I saw the first ingredient listed was MINERAL OIL. Bah! That is not really good for your skin. I love the false advertising in the front with the OLIVES when its listed as the 2nd to the last ingredients. I've always wanted to try a cleansing oil and at $8, why not? I like the smell! It reminds me of Kanebo's shampoos and conditioners I used to pick up at Uwajimaya. You massage the oil into your face without water. The cleansing oil is supposed to break down the oils and make up on your face. Then you rinse off with water. My face felt clean, but a little tight. You would have thought that washing your face with an oil would leave it greasy or moisterized, but no. It was pretty squeaky clean. I probably wouldn't purchase this again, but maybe pick up another brand like Shu Uemura later on.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 4 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:57:00 PM

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer - I wanted to try this since I have been very happy with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. This has a bit of slip to it and is more emollient. I like UDPP's better since it dries faster, but they both have the same great staying power. I like how this is packaged since its in a squeeze tube rather than a wand in tube like UDPP. But I did find out how to get the most prod out of by cutting the ends of the tubes. I'll have to blog about that later. I think after my first tube of UDPP is out and this is all done, I'll stick to UDPP.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Gold Spill
rated 4 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:56:00 PM

MAC's Minerlize Skinfinish Powder in Goldspill - I love, love, love my Shimpagne and was stoked when I saw this at the Cosmetics Company Outlet for only $15! Yeah! They're usually $24.50...I paid full price for my beloved Shimpagne which has only been gently used. This one has a bit more of a coppery tint with larger bits of glitter. I just touch a bit on my browbone and above my cheek bones some highlight. Love, love, love!

Lip Gloss -Too Faced - Mood Swing Lip Gloss
rated 3 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:54:00 PM

Too Faced Mood Swing Emotionally Activated Lipgloss - I did have the same type of gloss made by Smashbox in my basket, but saw this and grabbed it instead because it was cheaper. From the reviews I saw after I bought this, people stated that this was a bit too magenta for their liking and that the Smashbox O Gloss was better. Darn! Well, this gloss claims to start off clear (slightly untrue-tinged light pink) and that after you put it on, depending on your mood, the shades will change. This usually ends up bright pink on me. I'm thinking that the "emotionally activated" ingredients are actually heat sensitive agents. I would pair this lip wtih a more simple eye make up since it does turn out bright. Think, your lips after eating a popsicle.

Eye Shadow -Jesse's Girl - Bejeweled Eye Shadow Quad #432A-4
rated 3 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:28:00 PM

I was drawn in by the packaging. Its a zinged out compact! Out of the 4 to choose from, I picked the one with the reddish shades. A nod to my UD's Gash eyeshadow and my quest to perfect a look with red/rust colored eye shadows. These colors are gorgeous! I wasn't too impressed with 3 other quads. They were all colors that were either similar to something I already had or just a bit too "normal" for me. I used the lightest color as a highlight, the golden brown color in the crease, the lower right reddish color on top of that and then the lower left darker reddish color in the crease and outer-v.

Blush -Milani - Smooth Finish Blush - Luminous
rated 5 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:23:00 PM

Another pretty golden peach to add to my collection. I found this blush at K-mart for about $5 while I was on the hunt for Mai Tai, but this one will do. Its a touch of peach with a really nice golden sheen. The packaging is so-so. I'm not fond of brushes included with product and am not liking how the actual blush doesn't stay connected to the compact once you open the lid. The mirror is a nice added feature.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mutiny Pigment-Naughty Nauticals
rated 5 of 5
mizleilei 8/18/2008 6:19:00 PM

MAC pigments last forever and I use this only once in awhile so I won't need to hunt this down. I used this with Parrot eyeshadow. The icy blue Mutiny blended with the stunning Parrot is HOT! I didn't have enough time to do an EOTD photo, but this combo is so beautiful! I may start doing this combination more often. I have a teal shirt on and was tempted to use Steamy, but it was more green than I expected. I used Provence pigment all over, Mutiny in the crease and Parrot in the outer-v/contour. Love it! I just lined my top lid with Blitz 'n Glitz Fluidline and 2 coats of Revlon's 3-D mascara and called it good.
