BB Cream -Unlisted Brand - Holika Holika - Petit BB Cream - Clearing
miyoshi637 4/14/2013 2:01:00 AM
I use to use a primer, everyday mineral conceal, everyday minerals matte foundation, blush, and then a finishing powder. Now I can skip a few steps when I use this BB cream. I just stick this on, put on some blush, and finishing powder and I'm out the door. Sure it looks a little scary when you first put it on bc it has to still oxidize and it's on the light side, but the color comes out perfect for me. I love that it has tea tree oil in it and it hasn't broken me out since I've starting using it 3 months ago. I do own 3 different formulas and this one is by far my favorite out if all 4 of them.
Hey it was $3, not a huge waste of money, but this one isn't for me. It's too shimmery and didn't give me that sun kissed glow I wanted. I think I'm going to use them separately as eye shadows instead, hence the 2 lippies instead of 1.
This is my second bronzer I've bought in my life. The one before was an elf on and it was way too shimmery for me. I just wanted a nice touch/glow of color to make my BB cream not look to light on me. This does a fabulous job! It makes me look like I've gotten a little sun and is super matte. I got the medium one and use an Eco tools lush brush with a light hand. I use a little around my hairline, a little on my nose, chin, and down my neck. It doesn't make me itch, doesn't break me out, or give me a weird orange color. Plus, you can't beat the price of it! $8.99 at ulta. If you're lucky, you can find it for 40% on certain sales also! I guess it's a great starter bronzer for anyone bc if I can use a bronzer, anyone can. :)
Almost every blush I own has been discontinued, so I decided to try elf bc they're don't test on animals and are very reasonably priced. But Oh man, I wish I read reviews before I bought this. It's way way way too glittery for my taste. I like to be matte and more natural looking. I guess it would be an okay color for a night out, but this color isn't for me at all.
I've been using this about three weeks and I love it. I mainly use it under my eyes and I like it better then any eye cream I have tried. It's easy to use, portable, creamy, CHEAP, you don't have to worry about sticking your finger in a jar every time you apply it since it's a solid stick form, and it applies very easily. It also makes my concealer go on much smoother then anything else I've tried under my eyes. Oh and I almost forgot the best thing!! It has spf 15, so you don't have to worry about using extra eye spf. :) Will I keep buying this? You bet!! If you order it off of Iherb.com ($2.60) use code YOS450 for $5-$10 off your first purchase if you're a new customer.
Moisturizers -Trader Joe's - Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion

I love this stuff, it's dirt cheap, doesn't make my eyes sting, and best of all I can slather a ton of it on. Usually with more expensive face sunscreens, I wouldn't want to use a ton of it because a little bottle would cost me $18 and I would want it to last as long as possible Not with this since it's so reasonably priced. Plus they do not test on animals and that's super awesome.
Cleansers -Trader Joe's - Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil
miyoshi637 1/21/2012 3:52:00 PM
About 6 months ago I started to break out with cyst acne for some odd reason. I would take a month for it to go away, it would hurt and would pop up in the strangest places on my face. I don't know if it was unhealthy diet, stress, not being on birth control anymore. I tried everything under the sun and decided to try something with tea tree oil since it's suppose to be really good for acne and oily skin. I went to trader joe's and bought the bar soap and this one. Now the smell of this one is kinda strange. Very herby and I can't really explain it. It is really water, but lathers up really well! I use one pump, lather it up really good, go over my face with soft strokes, avoiding my eyes, and once I'm all sudsy on my face, I'll leave it on for 30 sec and wash it off. In about a week and a half, my icky cyst acne went away! woohoo! After using this for three weeks, I've noticed that my skin isn't too oily in my forehead anymore during the day. And yes it does dry out your skin some, but that's why there are moisturizers. I don't really wear makeup, so I'm not sure how well it takes it off. The only downside to this is the packaging. It sucks. The pump will prob work for about a week until it gets clogged. There's no way to unclog it either. I've tried several different ways. So I just transferred it to a smaller bottle with a flip cap.
Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure
miyoshi637 3/12/2010 4:35:00 PM
I've been using this on and off the past two years. I usually add a drop into my moisturizer and it helps keep my skin very hydrated and not so flaky during the winter season. The main thing I use the oil for is my scalp. Lately I've had really dry scalp and everything I have tried hasn't helped out at all, head and shoulders, t-gel, coconut oil, salon stuff I bought at sally's. I decided to give this a try and wow, does it help with my flakes and feels so soothing on my scalp. The packing does stink, but I moved it into a dropper bottle and that has helped a lot. The best place to purchase this is trader joe's. If not, iherb.com is great also! use code YOS450 for $5 off your first purchase, like I did. There are so many good uses for jojoba oil. You might as well try it bc if it doesn't work on your face, try adding some into your body lotion, or use it as a eye makeup remover and you'll get good use out of this lovely oil.
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
miyoshi637 1/20/2010 1:42:00 PM
This is the best eyeliner I have ever tried! If I wanted a nice dark blk line I would use my water sealer from BE and Onyx and would work out really well. But was a pain to mix sometimes. My friend bought me an eye giftset from MAC and I'm so glad she did. The set came with a cute lil liner brush and is easy to apple. I can do a very thin line for an everyday look and a thicker one for when I'm feeling sexy and just want a bolder eye look. It applies soooo smooth and stays on all day. I'm guilty of falling asleep with my makeup on from time to time. And when I wake up, this is still on and looks like I just applied it! I will buy again for sure when I run out.
Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eye Primer Liner Sealer

What else can I say about this lovely primer that hasn't been said already? You can not beat the price for this primer, only $3! And it comes in a super easy to use stick form. Unlike udpp, you don't get ripped off by product being stuck in corners on the tube, then you have to cut it open to get the left over stuff out! The only thing that stinks is the sealer, it's ok. But at a super cheap price, who cares? I love to wear super bright eyeshadow colors and this primer makes them vibrant and true to color all day long. Plus it hasn't creased on me since using it. (about 3 weeks now) I can also blend colors very well together. I love this primer so much! It's my new hg primer product. :)
After seeing such wonderful reviews ok mua, I just had to try this out! I went to my local dollar tree and picked up some sea salt. It's dirt cheap for a pound too. I start off with a super warm wash cloth on my face to open up my pores. Then I mix some sea salt and a little warm water to make a paste. I then slightly wet a cottonball and gently slather on. I wait about 15 min for it to dry and then gently scrub it off with warm water. The results are super duper soft skin that glows. I have a hard time with yucky white and blackheads on my nose and this seems to be helping me out greatly! Plus I use this on my bf who has acne and it's been drying out his pimples out very well. Yes it will sting a bit, but you'll be happy with results! Oh and make sure to use some type of night cream/oil, because it may dry you out a bit. I say everyone should try this because it'll cost you a dollar and if you don't like it, you can use the salt to cook with. :)
I was looking for a nice red color for Valentine's day. I saw this color at Sally's and feel in love with it. It's a lovely red, that is super bright and intense. I don't think it has any orange understones in it, but then again I can never tell! It goes very well with my skintine and it's my new go to red color. Plus like all China glaze colors, it has great staying power on my nails.
I love China glaze nail polishes, they're the only brand that I've found that does not chip right away and the color payoff on them are very nice! Well that isn't true for liquid leather, I need to put on at least 3 coats to make it look black! Oh why oh why do I need to put on that much nail polish to get a nice dark black color? If my 99 cent wet and wild black can make my nails looks sexy with 2 coats, why can't you china glaze? I would not repurchase this color just because of how see through 2 coats look like on my nails and how thickly I have to put this on to make it actually look black.
Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - New Flat Top Brush
miyoshi637 3/17/2009 3:02:00 PM
Oh my, I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this brush yet! I can not rave enought about this brush! It's super soft, very dense, puts on my mmu like a dream, and isn't made from animal hair and is made from renewable sources. Woohoo, what more can a girl ask for? I've had the brush for well over a year now and it still looks like brand spanking new. Everytime I've washed it, I've never had a "hair" shed from this brush. You can get this brush for really cheap when you buy it in a kit. $5.67 each in the 6 piece kit. ($34) or even cheaper, $4.17 each in the 12 piece kit ($50) Otherwise, it's $10. I don't know what else to say about this brush that has not been said, it's an all around wonderful brush!
Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - JR Liggett's Old Fashioned Bar Shampoo
miyoshi637 3/17/2009 2:36:00 PM
After reading the great reviews on here, I had to try this out. I bought the one with tea tree oil in it, since I have dry scalp. I bought mine off of iherb.com super fast shipping, no tax in CA! And the place is located in CA and $5 off my first order (YOS450) So great, ordered this with a few other products. As soon as I got it, I had to take a shower. It lathers very nicely, smells is fine, but it is a little weird sticking a bar of shampoo on your head and rubbing it around. Well after I shampooed, my hair felt really squeaky clean, I was a little freaked out about that. But after my hair was dry, it was soooo soft. No frizz, not weird hairs sticking out in weird places either. I do really like this shampoo bar. I've used it about times so far, and the bar has barely shrunk! Now I can see why this is about the same size of a 24 Oz bottle of shampoo. Now I just need to convince my bf into using a bar shampoo. Oh and only minus one lippie because it isn't for color treated hair. But no biggie because I haven't gotten my hair professional done since Oct!
