Got a sample today from Luckyscent.com. While certainly peppery, it's not harsh to my nose at all, and I actually found this rather mild despite the description, and I think the mint smoothes the rough edges. It reminds me of a more subtle, incensey version of Costume National and a less cedary version of Black Cashmere. I would have liked to get more clove to mix it up a bit more, but overall, I find this fragrance very wearable and sexy. Only downside is that it doesn't last long on me....maybe an hour or two. Wahhh. :(

This is my first product from this line and I must say, pretty good quality from a Target product! This is definitely not your grainy wussy Maybelline like a darker peach than it is in the bright light of day, but there is definitely shimmer to it. I am 40 and like light wash of this shade followed by a nice matte yellow-beige to balance it out for the day. I would recommend giving this neutral but shimmer shade a try!

Great "cool" gold shade,if that's possible, in that it's not orangey or yellowy, but rather white/green gold. (I also have Oz from Cargo and it, by comparison, is a very warm yellow gold). Great for highlighting the lid and browbone.

Sorry, gals, I was very disappointed in this product. I want some hard core thick-as-icing emollient cream for my dry face and this stuff failed miserably. It goes on nicely with a little slip, but absorbs quickly into nothing. My face was actually feeling tight about 20 minutes after applying. I will stick to the greasier stuff out there like well, Vaseline when all else fails. Or Mary Kay's Emollient Night Cream or Jurlique's Day Cream.

Fragrances -L'Artisan Fragrances - Timbuktu EDT

Wow, I am apparently in the minority, but I kinda dig it! Now, to be fair, I also love patchouli, myrrh, peppers, etc, etc, so this is up my olfactory alley anyway. On my skin, this scent is a peppery, woodsy incense. Upon application, I do detect some of the cumin/Indian food spices (but I like those too). It quickly dries down to a piney cedar-y peppery incense. I would agree that this is a relatively masculine scent. It reminds me of Comme des Garcons Incense series (particularly Kyoto, which is a bit sweeter and softer). I will have to edit this once I have had it on a while to see what kind of lasting power it yields (most L'Artisan don't last worth a dern on me).

Lotions/ Creams -MMU Cosmetics - Hawaiian Sandalwood
rated 5 of 5

This is one of my most favorite sandalwood scents of any etailers. I get mostly woody sandalwood with a touch of something almost powdery/floral. It does not smell sweet even though the description says "The most fragrant and sweetest of all Sandalwoods! A musky, soft, and sensual Sandalwood fragrance and not as piercing and pungent as most Sandalwoods out there. Made with real Sandalwood essential oil!" To me, it has a slightly leafy/earthy quality to it upon application. It does not have that baby oil scent that I have found with other sandalwood blends. It's soft, pretty and sexy.

This is what I would smell if I were nuzzled against my man’s chest while he has been wearing his thick old leather jacket for a few hours. It smells “warm”, like laying next to a warm naked body in bed, and there is something very sexual and organic about this scent—like the scent of a man’s skin mixed with a touch of sweat. The dry down is powdery, slightly floral, and the leather softens up. Although I keep referring to it's masculine qualities, I find it to be an incredibly feminine and sexy for a woman. When I wear this, I feel bold, strong and sexy, but in a very subtle way. It’s like yelling “Hey, sit up and take notice of me” with just a whisper. I can imagine walking into a warm bar out of the rain, drops clinging to my hair, a musty sort of air surrounding my wet clothes. I walk by some gentlemen causing an undeniable urge to pause their conversation to say “Who was THAT?!” Powerful stuff. I have both the EDT and the parfum and much prefer the parfum--it's more potent, softer and more well rounded.

I agree with imp's review below, this is right on Condensed Milk. The best words I can use to describe it is a sweet vanilla buttery coconut. It's very very rich IMO, and although I love SSC's products, this particular scent just wasn't for me--too rich. For those of you who like the Condensed Milk scent, you will love this one!

Pretty decent compliment to the Lea fragrance. I find MMU's version to be fairly light, less musky and more chocolatey. It's not exact, but would layer nicely.

Skincare - Body -MMU Cosmetics - Aloe Butter & Meadow Foam Salve - Luster for Skin and Hair

Different product. Reminds me of Natural Esscents body spread. It really is more of a "salve" or balm than a cream--thick, translucent (rather than an opaque white). It's extremely emollient but it's not super heavy like straight Vaseline or Bag Balm. Sinks in nicely, some will probably find it too greasy. I got mine in "Under the Boardwalk" limited edition, which smells like a mix of Sweet Milk (condense milk) and coconut.

rated 3 of 5

I have the grapefruit scent which I love. My only gripe is that the oil (smells like olive or canola oil) is very strong smelling to where I feel like I am greased up to fry in a pan for hours after. I don't mind oily scrubs but the oil scent lingers too much for me. It's not rancid, just, well, cooking oil smelling. :(

I really wished I liked this scent but it just doesn't work for me. As popular as this scent is, I just don't get the appeal--it's got a plastic smell to me. The packaging is nice, however, and the texture is a fabulous melt-in-your-hands type.

Fragrances -Gendarme - Grabazzi

I agree with TracyLynn. It's a very soapy clean scent, certainly appropriate for a man or woman. Whereas the original Gendarme is light and powdery, this is more soapy and a bit sharper. Really like it.

Wow, I like it! Pleasant soapy clean warm towels-just-out-of-the-dryer smell. A bit of a powdery dr down. Very light and subtle. I can't believe this is considered a man's scent. This reminds me of CS Perfect Veil but lighter. I had no idea this even existed but just received it as an extra in a swap and I am really liking it.

Dead ringer for Lea St. Barth--love it! It might be a bit more floral than Lea but they are both lovely. I have La Fete in oil and in the Vitamin E Super Rich lotion, and both are terrific. The lotion is somewhat pricey for the amount, but it's rich and thick and softens for hours. The scent lasts quite well in it.
