Mascara -New York Color - Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara
missxcindii 3/4/2013 2:05:00 PM
I'm a mascara junkie. I've tried probably 90% of the mascaras available at the drugstore ranging from $5 like the maybelline great lash to the l'oreal voluminous at $15. I've also tried mascaras from sephora like benefit badgal, a number of mascaras from clinique and shiseido. I can't believe that I found a $2 mascara that works better than any of those. Currently in shock :O. I am using careprost on my lashes so they are pretty long and curled naturally. Many of the mascaras clump or weigh down my lashes, especially the ones that claim to volumize. I saw the reviews for this and grabbed it yesterday from target. I could not be happier with this purchase. Looks great on my top and bottom lashes and so far has not smudged since I put it on this morning. I plan on going back to the store and buying tons more.

Foundations -Vichy - Dermablend Corrective Foundation
missxcindii 1/7/2013 1:12:00 PM
My absolute favorite foundation. I first heard of it through Lisa Eldridge on Youtube. She used it on a model as a concealer. I use this on my entire face and use a thin layer and then layer on areas that need extra coverage like my acne scaring or current breakouts. This is absolutely amazing and well worth the price, I've had the same tube for almost a year and have been using it daily. The only thing I would have to say is definitely to exfoliate and moisturize thoroughly because this does tend to cling to dry patches. Other than that this has amazing coverage. Since I have oily skin I do set with a powder to make it last longer, but otherwise I would just leave it because the finish is very natural. I use the lightest color and apply bronzer to get my perfect shade.

Bronzers -TheBalm - Bahama Mama
missxcindii 1/4/2013 5:23:00 PM
This is pure brown. And if you don't blend it in it can make you look really weird. I like to tap my brush once into this and just blend it out on my cheeks and then use the excess to put it all over my face. Gives a nice healthy glow when it sets but can sometimes make you look dirty. I will buy a more golden tone next time.

Mascara -Victoria's Secret - Lash Lust Volume Definition Mascara
missxcindii 1/4/2013 5:20:00 PM
Woah, I was not expecting to find such a great mascara at Victoria's Secret of all places. This help up better than my beloved Rimmel Lash Accelerator, and many others I've purchased from sephora. No clumping. I love to take my time with mascara and build up volume and length. With the formula of this product, I can totally do that. And I actually like the brush! Coats lashes evenly.

Lipstick -MAC - Lickable
missxcindii 3/30/2012 10:52:00 PM
My first mac lipstick ever. I absolutely love this. My friend and I were looking around the make up counters and she told me I should try a hot pink color. I ended up loving the results and buying it. Staying power is great. Doesn't dry lips. It was between this and girl about town but this one is definitely more wearable. Will be buying more mac creamsheen lipsticks!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Black and White Bleaching Cream
missxcindii 3/4/2012 11:30:00 AM
I was looking through the hydroquinone products in my local beauty store and this one seemed to have the least ingredients and had the best packaging(i.e, not in a jar). It costed me $5 and change. I used to use the palmers bleaching cream but that one really broke me out. I have lots of pigmentation from a former purging breakout from getting back on retin a. It's been about 4 months and I'm almost done with my first tube. I can definitely see that my skin has improved and gotten more even toned. I use this as a moisturizer and primer in the morning right after my toner. Because I have oily skin I don't find I need anything else but this. And it helps keep my face make up last! Will buy another one when I'm done with this.

Eyes -Unlisted Brand - Careprost~Generic Brand Latisse
missxcindii 12/14/2011 9:39:00 AM
FREAKING AMAZING!!!!! I wish I had taken pictures before and after. This is my 2nd time using this product. The first time I used for about 4 months last year and saw results within 1 month. I decided to stop using it because it caused darkness around my eyes. I just started up again about 2 months ago and am just now seeing results, but they are amazing. It's like my lashes grew in overnight. They've doubled in length AND volume. They're so long at this point that they curl on there own without an eyelash curler. All you need is some mascara and they look like false lashes. I highly recommend. IT WORKS.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Retin A
missxcindii 11/3/2011 5:53:00 PM
I've had acne since I was 11, I'm now 20 and still dealing with it. Without any acne treatment, meaning if I stop preventing acne with some sort of medication, my acne is easily moderate to severe. I get very inflammed and sometimes painful acne. I've tried other retinoids such as tazorac, retin-a-micro, and differin. Retin-A is the most effective on my skin personally. I was using the .05% gel for the past 3 years to keep my skin clear and free of pimples, besides the 1 or 2 I would experience around my menstrual cycle. Then one day for some reason I decided that I would try the acne.org regimen. For those who don't know what that is, it's a regimen that features Benzoyl Peroxide. I used the regimen for exactly 2 months. And in that 2 months, it seemed like every pore on my jawline was clogged. They were tiny but could be seen in certain light. They soon kept traveled up my jawline to my temples and around my cheeks. Finally I decided it wasn't working for me and went back on Retin-A. I'm sincerely sorry that I ever stopped using it. I'm currently experiencing the worst purging I ever had, even worse than when I had first started it 3 years ago. When you're on Retin-A, everything under the skin is brought up to the surface. Literally a couple days after being back on it, all those little bumps and clogged pores on my face turned into bright red pustules and whiteheads. It was digusting. Now that half of the havoc the acne.org regimen had caused on my face has cleared up, it has smoothed out A LOT. I still have a couple of clusters on my cheeks but at least the jawline and temple area is significantly better. I'd say I'll be back to my former skin within another month or so. I'm writing this review to remind myself never to experiment with another regimen again when I already know what works for me. I've learned a couple of things through my experiences: 1. Never get off Retin-A if you've been on it for as long as I have been. You will regret it. It's like my skin stopped functioning without it. My pores were becoming clogged without the exfoliation with Retin-A. 2. Acne scars don't go away, but hyperpigmentation goes away very fast on Retin-A so don't worry if you see marks left behind after the pimple. As long as there's no indentation, you're fine. 3. Retin-A does not get rid of acne scaring, meaning ice pick scars, boxcar scars etc. I have a few and they only look smoother but do not go away. You need cosmetic surgery for such. 4. If you're purging or afraid of puring, use BP in the morning or sulfur. After the experience I've had with BP, I've opted for sulfur and it works very well at reducing the inflamation with the purging acne. 5. You need a lot of patience with this product. It will NOT work over night. With the amount of clogged pores on my face I think it would have taken significantly longer if I had not already been accustomed to this product. I think this is a great product for acne/anti-aging. As long as you use it right, it should not give you any problems.

Cleansers -Acne.org - Cleanser
missxcindii 9/7/2011 7:30:00 PM
I bought the little travel sized bottle of this to try. I've been using it for 2 weeks or so and I love this even more than my Boscia cleanser! It's fragrance free, lathers really well, and cheaper. Gets rid of all traces of my mineral make up and my face never feels tight afterwards due to it being pH-balanced. Just bought the 16oz bottle.

Cleansers -Boscia - Clear Complexion Cleanser with Botanical Blast
missxcindii 8/29/2011 11:53:00 PM
I do love this cleanser. It's the first cleanser I've ever used that didn't give me that super tight skin feeling afterwards. It cleans off make up very well. I absolutely love the smell as well. Ph balanced, all natural, nice packaging. What else can a girl ask for in a cleanser. I'm already on my 2nd bottle of this. One bottle lasts about 3-4 months when I use one pump in the morning and 2 pumps at night because I wash my face twice. I think it really is worth it to invest in a good cleanser. I was so sick of using drugstore cleansers that just either didn't clean at all or stripped every single drop of moisture out of my face and left me with dry, red, scaly, itchy skin. Worth the 26 dollars when you think about it.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Ped Egg
missxcindii 8/16/2011 9:16:00 PM
This is my favorite non skincare/makeup beauty product. I have dry flaky heels thanks to my mom who unfortunately has it even worse than me. I had seen commercials on this before but didn't wanna buy it. When I saw it in the store I thought why not. The first time I used it I fell in love. I immediately recommended my mom this product and gave her mine. Originally I bought the one with the handle but I actually prefer without. I've already bought replacement blades and emery boards. It is not complete until you smooth it out with the emery board. I absolutely love the fact that they turn my disgusting looking heels into a smooth normal looking heel. I can finally stop being so self conscious when I wear my sandals! And not have my socks stuck to my heel! I use this every couple of weeks or days depending on how much time I have. Must have product for me.

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Face Powder
missxcindii 8/8/2011 11:16:00 PM
My favorite product of all time. I used to wear their loose powder and then switched to bare minerals matte because the coverage was not great. Bare minerals was good but I got tired of getting the loose powder everywhere and paying so much money every couple of months for a foundation. I went back to physicians formula because I know their stuff doesn't break me out, but this time I went for this pressed powder. I love this so much! I've already purchased this 3 times. It has excellent coverage for a powder, basically covering all the redness in my skin. Everything else needs a separate concealer. The price is around 14-15 dollars which I think is decently priced. I stock up on these when there's a sale at my rite aid. It's always buy one get one 50% off! I'm very pale and translucent light is a perfect match for me. I also own their blushers and bronzers. I'm glad I found a brand in a drugstore that I can trust on my skin.

Brows -Shiseido - eyebrow pencil
missxcindii 7/30/2011 11:21:00 PM
I love this eyebrow pencil! When I first bought it I thought it was a bit pricey but it's lasted me so long that I've realized it's definitely worth it. I've been using the same pencil for almost a year and have yet the need to buy a new one. The staying power is the best. I don't even have to bring the pencil with me because there's no need to touch up. I also love the little angle brush it comes with, its perfect for brushing the product into your brows for a natural look. Will buy this again when I need to.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Bronzer Brush
missxcindii 5/29/2011 5:44:00 AM
I really love this brush. It's so soft and durable. I've had this for a year and used to wash it everyday with soap and water and it never shed or loosen. It was only 15 dollars, so well worth the money. I like this even better than my sephora #45 brush and that was almost 2x the price. ONLY downside is the bulky size, but I guess it's not so bad since it's always in my hand anyways! LOVEE ITT.
