Lipstick -MAC - riri woo
misslu990 5/25/2013 10:42:00 PM
Luckily I got a chance to get the riri woo lipstick. Like others mentioned, it is similar to ruby woo but a little different. It has Rihanna's signature on the lipstick also. It took me awhile because the mac website got backed up when it went up on the website. I love the color of this it's pretty much the perfect red for my nc20 skin tone. Not too dark, not too light. A little drying, but not as bad as some of the other mac lipsticks. Lasts a while, but not as long as I would like. I apply some lip balm, red lip liner (I used one of the Illamsqua ones I received in a monthly box), and fill in my lips with the liner then apply riri woo. Love the results!!

Foundations -Smashbox - Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30
misslu990 5/7/2013 8:51:00 PM
I liked the coverage of this and this was easier to blend with my hands than a damp sponge. It hade my skin look smooth and matte and little did it settle into my pores. My biggest complaint is that it contains wheat germ oil which I'm pretty sure is the culprit of me breaking out from it. I have a hard time finding foundations that don't break me out and this didn't cut it. If it didn't break me out, I might consider getting it, but then again there's a lot of other foundations I wish didn't break me out and I would rather purchase those. I have light skin and I got a sample in fair. This was a little light on me at first but it oxidized a but and I would rather have it be a tad bit light than dark. Provides a light to medium coverage and doesn't ball up when I apply it after moisturizer. Just didn't work out for my sensitive skin though

Moisturizers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil
misslu990 4/4/2013 6:25:00 PM
This has worked wonderfully on my dry hands and lips. You can also use this on the ends of your hair, and it helps with split ends. The first time I used this on my lips, they healed my dry cracked lips fast. This works good on my cuticles or any dry spots like my elbows or knees. The only sort of complaint I have is that it can get and feel a little greasy if you put too much so apply a little at a time. I love the packaging and that it doesn't test in animals. I also love that it doesn't have any nasty chemicals and that sort in it.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
misslu990 4/4/2013 6:19:00 PM
So many different uses for coconut oil! Not only do I eat it for its benefits, but I warm up a little between my hands and apply it to the ends of my hair. My hair feels softer and more manageable afterwards. Leaves a shine to your hair also. Just don't over apply it, or your hair will look greasy. I use this on my body sometimes and my skin feels smooth and smells good. I would never use this on my face though because I know I would break out from it, but other than that I love it. I buy a huge jar from vitacost they have their own brand of it and its virgin organic coconut oil. LOVE

Cleansers -Neutrogena - All-In-One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes
misslu990 1/31/2013 11:23:00 AM
I also bought these from costco months ago & I like these for removing my make up before cleansing my face. They do a pretty good job removing my foundation, blush, highlighter, everything. These don't irritate my sensitive skin, no break outs from these either. I like that I'm able to purchase a pack from costco. The box includes some mini ones that you can use when you travel, friend's house, SO's house..so forth. Will be repurchasing when I run out.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - winter care-limited edition
misslu990 1/29/2013 2:21:00 PM
I see this at Costco around the winter time so I decided to pick it up recently because I love the original one. Just to be clear, I bought the liquid soap not the bar soap. This came in a pack of three I believe and the price wasn't bad. I love how creamy this body wash is and the smell of this is comforting and smells clean. It does moisturize my skin, but I have never had a body wash wow me where I feel so moisturized that I don't need lotion after showering. The bottle is pretty big and I only need about a quarter size or a little more to lather onto my loofah. I have tried using this when taking a bath and it doesn't work because its so creamy. If you try to apply this under running water it will stay in its form and just be floating around, so this is good just to use as a body wash. I will probably not repurchase until next winter because by the time I finish these bottles up it will already be spring and I would like to try out others or go back to the original.

Brows -Unlisted Brand - castor oil
misslu990 1/29/2013 2:02:00 PM
Dirt cheap and effective for my eyelashes. I have short eyelashes and I've tried multiple lash serums, but most of them left a dark ring on the top of my eyelid close to my lashes or irritated my eyes. Kind of freaks you out also when you hear about some serums causing your eye color to change if applied too close but idk if that's even true. I buy the de la Cruz dark glass bottle of this pretty much anywhere. Walmart, target, Kmart, cvs..they have this in most drugstores in a section where the rest of products that are mostly in Spanish and they have olive oil soap, cold medicines, avacado oil, and all that. This is a really good brand and I like that its in a dark glass bottle. The formula is thick and clear so I apply sparingly to my lash line with my ring finger. I only apply this at night because its too greasy to wear during the day, and I feel that wearing make up over it wouldn't help, but that's just me. I definitely noticed the first couple weeks I used this a long time ago that my lashes grew a little and felt thicker and darker. Now I use this because its helped my lashes improve not only in length but they don't fall out hardly ever when I'm removing my eye make up. I haven't tried is on my eyebrows but I'm curious because sometimes I get a little too crazy with the tweezers when I don't have time to go get my eyebrows threaded (which is amazing; if you haven't tried it, definitely do!). I tried the ocm a long time ago with this and didn't like using this because it was too thick, but it did help get out a lot of blackheads. All in all, I would recommend this definitely for eyelashes and I'm going to try my eyebrows and see how this works

Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning lotion
misslu990 1/25/2013 11:18:00 AM
No matter what I always end up going back to this lotion. I've tried several different lotions in between this for years, but nothing compares to how soft & smooth my skin feels after using this. I have very dry skin except for my face; my skin is especially and obviously more dry in the winter and I love using this both in the winter and summer. This doesn't break my body out at all which I've had a problem with some after I work out because the lotion never feels like it settles into my skin. I know I know, ewg has a low rating on that and that's what drew me back a lot of the times because I do actually value the websites info, but this stuff works for me and there's way more stuff to worry about and all other kinds of stuff you can catch just from walking out your door. I took a chemistry class and out of nowhere asked him his opinion on using petroleum products in lotions and what not and he said that its fine and our skin is made up of acids and all that yada yada yada and that we need it. not sure about all that but whatever i like this product regardless. This takes a little work to rub in at first but once it settles, it sinks into your skin. I do like the smell, but I don't love it entirely. It doesn't remind me if an actual real cocoa butter smell. Price is cheap and a little does go a long way. I like to especially apply this after I shower and let it sink in a few minutes after I apply it before getting dressed. I would recommend this and I will be repurchasing once again.

Hair Styling Tools -Sonia Kashuk - Bristle Hair Brush
misslu990 1/24/2013 10:18:00 PM
Not a fan. I bought the small travel size brush to throw in my purse whenever I needed to fix my hair. This makes my hair frizzy and wiry whenever I run it through. The plastic is cheap as far as the bristles go. It's supposed to be half boar bristles half plastic but it just doesn't cut it for me. It doesn't smooth my hair , it just makes it worse. Especially whe I straighten my hair. I like how the brush looks but so far its just a waste of money for me.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Lancome Juicy Tubes
misslu990 1/24/2013 7:51:00 PM
I hated these juicy tubes. I got these in a set a few years back and they did absolutely nothing for my lips except make them gloppy and sticky. Not moisturizing at all and there's little color pay off. It makes your lips look really shiny so if you're going for that look then go for it, but if not then don't buy these. There's better lip glosses out there for half the price.

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Herbal Blemish Stick
misslu990 1/24/2013 1:24:00 PM
This really does work when I get a blemish, but I cringe at the packaging at times because it doesn't seem sanitary at all when you're rolling it on a blemish and then turning around and rolling it on another. I guess the ingredients In it could help with that but regardless, its still a little unsanitary. Besides that, I like that this is mostly natural ingredients. It helps treat any blemishes that may pop up, and doesn't sting or burn when I apply it to my sensitive skin. I like to put this in a small make up bag and throw it in my purse but I have to agree with another reviewer because this does leak at times. When I apply this though I have to use only a little otherwise it will leak out and down my face. There is just better treatments out there especially at the drug store where you can get this that work better.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Flashy liner waterproof Taupe
misslu990 1/24/2013 12:54:00 PM
I love the color of this. It has the prettiest sheen to it when you apply it to your lids. I especially like to use this on my lower lash line for a lot of neutral looks. You can use this for a smoky look or neutral; either way it looks great. Smudges easily when you first apply so you can work with it but once it sets its good. It doesn't last all day for me but it lasts a good amount of time and it's only 8 bucks which is cheaper than some eye liners at the drug store. Easy to sharpen and I haven't had any problems with the cap coming off in my make up bag.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash
misslu990 1/23/2013 10:41:00 PM
I know a lot of reviewers don't care for this or had bad experiences but I love this face wash. I've repurchased 3 times already and always have a back up on me when I run out. This doesn't break me out and works good at removing make up after I remove with face wipes. This did burn my skin a little when I first used it, but it was nothing horrible and I have sensitive and oily skin also. My face feels a little tight afterwards but nothing I can't stand. My face just feels really clean afterwards and helps keep my break outs in check. It's a simple cleanser and its easy to get anywhere. However, I don't like the pump that much because its hard to travel with. You can lock it but its a pain to do anyways and you waste product. I wish they had little travel sizes in the travel section so I could buy those instead if having to dispense this in a little bottle when I do. The consistency is gel like and I apply a little at a time not a full pump in order for it to lather well. Once it lathers, it's fine. I will continue to repurchase

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Combination Skin Moisture Oil Free
misslu990 1/23/2013 10:34:00 PM
This stuff is crap. I have not had any break outs recently until I decided to try this out and broke out on my cheek bones. The moisturizer is very light weight so I will give it that, but when I apply this under sunscreen and my foundation it balls up which is really annoying. Plus it's made my face very dry and flaky and my face is some what on the oily side. I will be returning this.

Makeup Brushes -Kat Von D - Makeup Brush Set
misslu990 1/10/2013 8:42:00 PM
I got this years ago and I only recently started using a few brushes out of the set. I didn't really care for the brush holder it comes with and I don't think I even have it anymore. I use the larger slanted brush to contour the sides of my nose and it blends well. The other eye shadow brush I use to apply high lighter to under my brows and it picks up shadow easily. My favorite is the angled eye liner brush. I didn't care for it at first but now that I got the hang of it, I like this better than any other liner brush I've tried so far. The brushes are easy to clean and don't take a long time to dry. The other two brushes I don't really use at all. Especially the brush used for tight lining. The other brush is short and dense so it would be good for blending the outer corners or inner corners, but I already use other brushes from different brands for that. Over all, I like these brushes but there are better brushes out there. If you're a fan of kat von d then go for it, but if you're looking for some cheaper ones that are just as good quality I would check or sigma or real techniques or elf.
