Bronzers -Rimmel - Natural Bronzer- 21 Sun Light
misslippy 8/4/2006 5:05:00 AM
I bought this without first "consulting" M-Up alley, and was a little nervous! It has worked out great. I am fair, but get a little tan on my arms, but wear a spf on my face daily, so my arms are obviously darker than my face, but yet, my regular makeup looked too heavy and light, so, never using a bronzer before I walked into the walgreens store and picked this up, not knowing if it was a good product or not. I just brush a little all over my face; it's a very natural looking color...I still use my regular makeup, but more lightly, concentrating on the places that need it most (spider veins, redness), powder with a little Coty translucent loose powder(holy grail for years too!!) then lightly with this product and I'm good to go. It was $2.99 at Walgreens...you can't beat that! try it!

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Lip Inflation
misslippy 4/17/2006 8:28:00 AM
This is, I think, one of the worst lip products I have ever used. I wish I had looked here first before purchasing--I was on vacation and didn't have access to a computer. I bought it in Mocha, which was the darkest color out of all 3 colors. This stuff is grossly slimy on your lips, it tastes awful, and the color made my already pale lips paler yet. Sally Hansen, you can do better than this! I can't believe they discontinued their other lip treatments and gave us this! This is a total waste of money.

Treatments (Eye) -Avon - Anew Clinical Eye Lift
misslippy 3/25/2006 6:14:00 AM
I bought this as I do any other "new" product" that hits the market, and also after reading great reviews on it. I like the gel for the upper lid, it makes my upper lid look younger and firmer... but I don't really like the cream for underneath your eyes. I used the product before work yesterday (I'm 49) and at one point when I went back to my desk to check out my lipstick I looked in the mirror and I had new vertical lines under my eyes. I think the cream tightened the area, and with facial expressions, and general wear made a couple new lines! Crap....! just what I don't need. I washed my face when I got home, and realized they weren't permanent. (whew!) I have slight under-eye bags and a few fine lines...I think I need something more moisturizing....alas, my quest continues....and to all you young ladies who adore/worship/can't live with/o cosmetics....it doesn't get any better...it's a lifetime addiction!!!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Futurist Foundation
misslippy 12/28/2005 9:15:00 AM
I LOVE this foundation. I was using the last of the discontinued Mary Kay foundation that I had found on Ebay, but I was getting tired of that too. I don't know if it was too old, but it seemed thick and was soon becoming NOT my favorite. These reviews are so awesome...I read the ones for the Futurist foundation and was so impressed. No one said anything bad about it, so I said I gotta try this. I went to my local dept store and she gave me a sample of one color, it was too dark, (sorry can't remember the color), then she gave me a sample of the new color, fair. It was a way different color than the antique ivory mary kay stuff (which now I think seems ashy). I took the little sample bottle home and used it for 2 days and fell in love...ahhhh. This foundation goes on so smoothly, covers great, even though you wouldn't think it would, because it seems so light, and lasts well. The only thing I would change would be the price. I'm not used to paying $35.00 (with tax) a bottle, but will gladly do it, because this is my new HG!! I am 49 and a certified make-up lover, have been since I've been 13!

Treatments -Avon - Clinical Line and Wrinkle Corrector
misslippy 9/19/2005 11:02:00 PM
This stuff is awesome...I have been using it for about 1 year and I love it. My skin looks better, my lines look better, esp my crows feet. It doesn't make me break out, either. I am 48 (almost 49); I buy my product on e-bay. Mostly I buy the small sample packs, that way I won't be tempted to use too much (a big problem for me!) update--11/3/05--thanks to hilli for the tip on the retroactive optimizer lotion over the clinical at night--it's great! My skin looks even better! It's getting expensive to have nice skin these days...!

Lip Gloss -Avon - Glazewear in Blushing
misslippy 9/19/2005 10:52:00 PM
I also love this product--the color blushing makes my teeth look white, and compliments my skin tone. I am light, with blonde hair & blue eyes and it's a tad dark, but when I blot it, it's a perfect color. I'm like the other reviewer...I stocked up...I have one in the bathroom, one in my purse, one in my car...It feels good on your lips and has great staying power. It's the only glazewear color that I really liked, and I've tried a few other colors.
