Treatments -Kerastase - Ciment Thermique

Finally....a heat activated higher end (..cough..thermasilk) product that does wonders, this is HG status for me for sue. The heat makes your hair BETTER and you feel like you have a new head of gorgeous hair. If you can only get one Kerastase product, invest in this for all of us heat stylers, and it lasts a lonnng time Here's a lil background and recomendations of mine: My recommended picks or those with hair like mine (Fine, but a lot of it, colored/highlighted/heat styles everyday, sometimes washes everyday) 1) Pureology Hydrate my HG Shampoo & Conditioner 2) Frederick Fekkai Au Natural Weigtless Conditioner 3)Can't go wrong with Joico K-Pak, just don't use it for too long bc the protein will build up but it feels great and will repair your hair/ 4) ANYTHING Kerastase pretty much, but their Bain Chroma Riche Masque sucks, their Ciment Thermique is HG, Oleo Relax, and this is the Bentley of all hair care, just vert expensive and time consuming 5) Redken's All Soft conditioner is not to shabby either 6) If you have to get a grocery/drug store brand, you won't be disappointed with Aussie 7) Gotta get Moroccan Oil WOW

Shampoo -L'anza - Healing Moisture Tamanu Cream Shampoo
missdolly0410 5/17/2009 4:00:00 AM
The smell is amazing and maybe I have a Pureology bias but nothing really compares(except Kerastase :)..The shampoo isn't bad (more moisture than Pureology but not as clean of a feeling) but for me the conditioner sucks...the conditioner is too heavy and leaves a nasty build up feelings after a couple of days. I blow dry and flat iron every day and with this I had to wash everyday! It's expensive yes but price is nothing to me when it comes to value and performance in my hair care and this it did not match, Pureology can last 8 months you only need so little. Pureology smokes this line, although this is a more moisturizing conditioner, I'd say use sparingly. Shampoo def. beats its counterpart conditioner. Here are my top lists and what works (and fails) for my fine, but a lot of, color processed, highlighted, bra-strap length hair which is wavy, and flat ironed every day 1) Pureology Hydrate my HG Shampoo & Conditioner 2) Frederick Fekkai Au Natural Weigtless Conditioner 3)Can't go wrong with Joico K-Pak, just don't use it for too long bc the protein will build up but it feels great and will repair your hair/ 4) ANYTHING Kerastase pretty much, but their Bain Chroma Riche Masque sucks, their Ciment Thermique is HG, Oleo Relax, and this is the Bentley of all hair care, just vert expensive and time consuming 5) Redken's All Soft conditioner is not to shabby either 6) If you have to get a grocery/drug store brand, you won't be disappointed with Aussie 7) Gotta get Moroccan Oil WOW I know I went wayy onn Just wanted to give a detailed explanation, any question's e-mail me, I'll prob add my list to all my posts to give everyone a better perspective.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Cultured
missdolly0410 5/29/2008 5:32:00 AM
Great color! I love MAC lipglosses but I went in looking for one similar to Angel lipstick and this one came out and it looks great...I love Angel lipstick but I always need gloss over it so I thought I would try and find one somewhat similar to it and kill two birds with one stone. Pink lip colors make your teeth look very white...

Crème -Chanel - Teint Innocence Cream to Powder Compact Foundation
missdolly0410 3/7/2008 1:35:00 PM
This foundation is amazing and I am not big on foundation. It has taken me so long to find a good foundation but I have finally found it. I have tried all of MAC and the only one that is decent is their Studio Fix powder and that is when my skin isn't dry. I have dry skin and I live in a desert so I need a lot of moisturizer before applying foundation anyways. This stuff just glides on with the pad and gives a decent moderate coverage that looks and feels so smooth and radiant. My only gripe is the pad has to be changed so often. This is definitely for someone with normal or dry skin so that being said, be sure your skin is properly moisturized before applying this. Great foundation. For reference in MAC I am NC 30 and I wear Shell in this.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
missdolly0410 3/7/2008 1:23:00 PM
This is horrible stuff and sooo not worth the price. I heard it is the number one selling mascara at Sephora but that is some hype. I expect top end for the price I paid and it flakes off so much during the day, I always have to wipe my eye area. I could do better with Great Lash or some other drug store brand. I expected soo much more and am so disappointed, I think I am going to write to Dior's customer service department and hopefully they can make up for this.

Eye Shadow -MAC - AMBER LIGHTS
missdolly0410 2/21/2008 10:06:00 PM
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! This is one of my favorite eye shadows and looks good with Sketch, Brown Down, Carbon, or Nehru in the crease, or really any matte/velvet darker color. This is one of my favorite eye shadows MAC makes. For reference, I am a NC 30/C4, Brown eyes.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Nylon
missdolly0410 2/21/2008 10:05:00 PM
The color is a bit harsh on olive skin (NC30) but when the MAC MA did it with a brown in the crease to create a contrasted smokey eye look it looked awesome. This eye shadow does not blend well and too much comes off at once, if not blended to a tee, can look really smuged and harsh. You really need to spend time putting this on and don't bother using it as highlighter unless your eyebrows are newly waxed/plucked, if you have any spare hairs, it just makes it look dirty.

Really good eye make up remover, takes the make up right off. Not as good as my olive oil though ;) but best store bought eye make up remover I have tried.

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer spf15
missdolly0410 2/21/2008 9:57:00 PM
I really hate this moisturizer and don't know why I have used it for so long. Since I am young, I figured I don't need really expensive moisturizer (although I am a big MAC and Chanel make up fan), so I gave this a try. It is absolutely horrible, it does nothing for my skin, does not even anything out. It is like I don't even have lotion on my face it does not moisturize my skin at all and I need a pretty rich moisturizer as I live in Las Vegas which is the desert. Dove face lotion works better than this for half of the price. Aveeno is just absolute crap to say the least and if i could give this a zero I would. The packing is the only good thing about this.

Mascara -MAC - Zoom lash
missdolly0410 2/14/2008 7:10:00 PM
This mascara is really awful, I mean for an hour it will look nice but it's so clumpy and flakes by the end of the day, it is not worth it. You can get Maybelline or L'Oreal products that are better than this. MAC sucks for foundations and mascaras, I love them for their color selection and eye shadows and lip colors, but they are horrible at mascara and foundation.
