I really like the effect this mascara gives to my lashes. Long, black, curled and volumized. Pros: -Wears for many hours (definitely 14) looking fresh and holding curl, no smudging or flaking, even on lower lashes. -great effect - one coat for beautiful, long and elegant lashes, two coats for a dramatic and sexy look. - I got this in a gold tube which is actually quite pretty compared to many drugstore mascaras. -if you make a mess on the lid, it is easily removed with a cotton bud after dried up. Cons: -the tip is very blunt cut and flat, which i don't favor but since my lashes are not so short and my eyes not to small, it's not so bad - but beware if you like conical type wands. -the application can be quite messy if you are a "wiggler" like me - because the long plastic "combs" can touch your lid. -i need to clean up the wand a little to take excess off.. which is annoying and time consuming. i love the overall look, result and quality, especially for a drugstore mascara. would definitely repurchase and recommend
I like this mascara a lot. The formula is amazing, first tubing mascara I have ever tried, and i love it. Pros: lasts all day, easy to remove, very black (black onyx), nice brush that gives you full control, great for lower lashes (formula and brush wise) Cons: quite a dry formula - I favor normal to wet mascaras more, takes me 2-3 coats to get the length and volume I desire (medium volume, nothing crazy), quite a small amount in the tube. I still love this mascara especially for summer or for long days, would definitely repurchase and recommend to a friend.
I really like this gel. I have naturally very defined eyebrows, however the hairs are really long, so I need something to keep them neat. This gel makes your brows stay in place, but doesn't make them hard (like a hairspray would to your hair). The effect lasts all day long, meaning after many hours pass my brows are not suddenly going to be messy. Another reason I like this product is that it lets me alter the shape of my brows - more arched or straight - depending on what I want that day. The only thing I don't like al that much is the clear packaging. No matter how neat and clean you are, the gel is eventually going to turn from clear to a weird dirty color, so I wish the tube wasn't clear. Because of this I actually put on the gel before filling in my brows even though you are supposed to to this the other way around Also, the writing on the tube fades really fast. All in all I really love this product and would definitely recommend this.
Concealers -Shiseido - Natural Finish Cream Concealer

I really like this product. The staying power is amazing - I have gone in the swimming pool with it, and being careful not to rub - it stayed on! The finish is so nice - natural - it looks as though I'm not wearing anything because it is not matte and dull. Its doesn't dry the under-eye area. The coverage is amazing! A tiny drop is all you need with this. I apply this using a blending brush like Mac 217. It can double up as eyeshadow primer since it doesn't crease for 8-10 hours. I will definitely repurchase.
It is an OK mascara for the price. Decent length and volume. However, i find that in the summer it tends to smudge even though I use it just on my top lashes. The curl seems to drop after a few hours. It has the regular weird Maybelline mascara smell, which I'm not particularly fond of. The packaging is very tacky and cheap. It is still a good drugstore mascara, so I would buy it again because od the price
i hated this. at the beginning it was o.k but after a few weeks the tip of the liner became soft and therefore defeating the purpose of the pen packaging. the color wasn't black at all it was a watery gray. it did stay but it was crappy color so it really didn't matter that it stayed on. it wasn't convenient to line the lower lash line.
So my mom felt like spoiling me and got me this mascara, which is not that expensive in my country since drugstore products are amazingly overpriced (30 dollars for a Maybelline mascara). I have pretty good lashes, nothing crazy but they aren't bad. I always look for extra full, long, separated and dramatic lashes. I start by using the dramatic option, the purple, by wiggling on the base and then blinking for it to go all the way up my lashes. Then I use the less dramatic option, the pink one, to get extra separation and length. It might sound like a lot but it's not, and the effect you get is AMAZING. On my bottom lashes I use the pink option by wiggling as well, just so they look more neat (they are long so I don't like putting a lot of mascara on them). I think this mascara gives a natural curl, since I don't find the need to curl my lashes with this! It gives me a very lifted, awake look. The product is very black. I have cried with it on and experienced no smudging, but it's not waterproof, so you can remove it with water. I haven't experienced any flaking. I have had mine for a month and a half and the formula is still the same and doesn't appear to be drying out. (will update if anything happens). I like the packaging, I think it is very fun. I would probably repurchase since this is a never fail mascara for me.. Best I've used.. including the falsies, the colossal, great lash, all l'oreal telescopic, clinique high definition, a few israeli brands, revlon grow luscious and more.
They stick to the teeth very well and don't move. They don't have a nasty flavor. After around 5 days I started seeing results. My teeth weren't yellow however they weren't white and so I felt insecure with bright lipsticks. Especially my upper canines were a little darker than the rest. I also wanted to get rid of a few stains I had because I used to be a coffee drinker. After the 20 treatments my darker teeth were the same as the rest, the stains were gone, and all of my teeth went quite a few shades lighter! I also used to be darker around the crevices and now they are an even color all over! If you ask me, its soooo much better than paying a fortune at the dentist. People who I usually never talk to complimented me on the whiteness of my teeth, and my boyfriend who hadn't seen me in two weeks immediately noticed the difference (and then bought it as well). I didn't experience any tooth sensitivity at all. I recommend not doing this immediately after brushing you teeth since you might have some cuts and the product could sting. it's now been 3 months and my teeth look just as white. Would definitely buy again if I need this, although I don't see it happening anytime soon.
I wrote a really nice review on this a few months ago, but I have changed my mind 180 degrees after using shiseido concealer for a few months. This product dries way too fast, it has ruined many concealer brushes that I didn't wash immediately after use. It is very drying and emphasizes fine lines (I'm only 20!). It can look kind of blotchy sometimes. It is very hard to blend and gives a dull, dry look to the under eye area. The coverage is good though.
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow Quad "Blushed Wines"

Beautiful colors that compliment every eye color. I LOVE the lightest shade as a highlight. You can get quite a variety of looks. The main ones I go for are a soft everyday one, or a very sexy and smokey one. For my everyday one I use the second shade on my lid, the third on my crease and the first as a highlight. For a smokier effect try using the fourth one on the lid, then the third one on the crease, creating a beautiful fade, and the lightest one as a highlight. As far as consistency goes, they are not amazing, but they really aren't bad either! The packaging is ok... very drugstore like. I don't mind it for everyday use. Great price. Stays on very well on me with just foundation (colorstay) on my lids. One of my favorites out of the Revlon Colorstay eyeshadow quads. Would definitely repurchase.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - 6 Piece Eye Brush Set (5 brushes + case)
missandix 4/8/2011 12:33:00 PM
i bought this online off drugstore.com since my country doesn't have any decent affordable brushes. my only problem with this is the little case since its fabric, washable, but you can't wipe it off. so i mover the brushes to a mini pencil holder i found really cheap which is the same color as the ferrules. not onto the brushes.... the crease brush is my favorite by far. it really does all the job for you in just a second, and blends the eyeshadow itself because its fluffy, but not too much, so it is still precise. the big one that says blend is great for blending, applying an all over wash of shadow, applying highlighter under the brow and my fav - highlighter on top of the cheekbones. perfect size! the one that says highlight is a really nice blending brush! the small one that says smudge is great for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes, cupid's bow, and obviously applying shadow on the lower lash line. the one that says shade is good for applying shadow on the lid and highlighting brows and inner corners. the brushes are very soft, the look very nice. their size is very good for traveling but they also aren't too short. i love this!!!
I have been struggling forever to find my right color match and something that would last more that 5-6 hours without reapplying or powdering after a while. This is my HG product. my best color match ever found - 150 Buff for oily/combination skin. Just so you understand the staying power of this - I put it on at 6.30 AM on a hot and humid day, went to school for 8 hours, came back home (which involves two twenty-minute walks), after that I worked out for 2 straight hours, sweating quite a lot. After i cooled down, I only blotted my skin, and my face looked 100% flawless just like in the morning. this was at about 9.30 PM, which is 15 hours. I would say that is pretty amazing! It didn't come off a single bit until I took it off. As far as coverage, it is medium to full coverage, but very build-able to full. My skin actually looks like skin wearing it, stays shine free for many hours. Which is funny, because with more sheer foundations I looked like I was wearing a ton of makeup and my skin didn't look as flawless. I apply it with my fingers and if I have time, I blend it with my kabuki (buffer) brush. The packaging is quite bad, I hate dealing with glass bottles, so I transferred it to a bottle that was originally made for a moisturizer, that has a pump. problem solved! A good new bottle option would be Maybelline Dream Satin. I usually use this as a concealer as well, both under-eye and blemishes. I have it on my hand while I put it all over my face, and till I get to the point where I would normally apply a concealer, it gets thicker so it works amazingly as a concealer. I don't have severe under-eye darkness, but I definitely have some. Hope this was helpful.
