BB Cream -BRTC - Jasmine Water BB Cream SPF 30 PA++

I actually really liked the consistency and finish of this BB cream, even more so than my chosen Missha M Perfect, but the colour was way off for my pale skin. At first it seemed fine (it's quite a light shade) but after applying it, it would turn a bizarre shade of pink/grey that was much darker than when I first applied it. I didn't mind the jasmine scent which is quite strong, like jasmine tea. PROS: Smooth easily blendable liquid Dewy finish Good tube - would be able to use all the product CONS: Changes colour on skin!
After trying a number of different BB creams, I've settled on M Perfect Cover #13, the lightest of the range. I initially bought #21 but I found the shade too dark for my pale skin. #13 doesn't have the slight grey tint that many BB creams have. It's pretty close to a perfect match for me, pale, neutral toned with pink/redness in my cheeks. For reference I'm MUFE HD #115/117. I love how simple and easy to apply this Bb cream is. On a clean, exfoliated face, blend in a small amount and build it up where you need it. The finish is natural, luminous but not shiny and is super cheap in my option. It offers more coverage than a tinted moisturiser, enough to even out skin tone and imperfections. I've also noticed that my skin is much less dry since switching to this from regular foundation. Love it.
Sunscreen -Korres - Sunscreen Face Cream Yoghurt SPF50

This review is for the 30+ version. Disappointed in this sunscreen. It sinks in so quickly that you can't spread it. I find I need to use more than necessary due to it being too thick. The finish is so dry that it becomes very hard to spread make up on top. I spritz my face with water to help spread it around. It has a sweet natural yoghurt scent which doesn't bother me but probably wouldn't be to everyones liking. PROS: No white cast, which is a plus, no irritation or greasy finish. Would use it if I was going to be outside all day but not for an average day at work. Will use it but won't be repurchasing.
I bought this while in the US earlier this year - 2 for $50, that's a pretty good deal when you live in Australia... I think it's great. My skin is pretty dry and I was worried at first that my skin felt tight after using it, however I've found the results to be fine. My skin feels clean and looks brighter. I moisturise straight away after using it. The light cucumber-y scent is really nice too. I've always been a sucker for foaming cleansers even though dry skin is supposed to use cream cleansers...this one works for me and I look forward to using it at the end of the day!
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

Amazing choice of colours - I think this is the first foundation I have bought that is a perfect fit. Goes on really easily after moisturiser and gives a medium finish which I love and looks really natural. It looks great when it goes on but I find it doesn't make it through the day. By mid afternoon my face looks dry and dull. Such a shame as everything else about this foundation is perfect. I'd use it if I was heading out for dinner but I wouldn't rely on it all day.. For the price I'd like this to make it through the afternoon!
Smells yummy but I can't really say this has made a huge difference to my skin. Disappointing given all the good reviews and press this product has received. I have used the whole bottle. Since finishing it I haven't noticed that my skin is missing it so I won't be repurchasing.
Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Sheer Transformation Creme

A nice product but not especially moisturising if you have dry skin like me. A pleasant light moisturiser.
I've been using this product for nearly 2 months now. I was very excited in the first few days of use as I saw results especially around my eyes. Not that I have deep wrinkles, just fine lines. I do feel like my face looks more refreshed right after I use it. After about a month I wondered if it was doing anything at all...maybe I was imagining things? But what I've found is that it seems to work best without layering up too many products. I'd recommend waiting for it to well and truly sink in before applying other serums etc.
Foundations -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One

Have been using this in Light for the last couple of days. I'm quite fair so personally I'd like the Light colour to be lighter, but it'll work in summer time for a subtle tan/bronzer, which is actually hard to find for my pale skin. I dusted with power after applying which balanced out the shine factor. Overall pretty impressed for such a cheap product. Coverage sits somewhere between a tinted moisturiser and a sheer/medium foundation. I'll probably look for a similar BB cream which will suit my skin tone better. Update: I have noticed this was making my skin a bit patchy and red so have stopped using it. I've ordered some Korean brands of BB to try out as the overall effect is quite nice.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational-Coral Crush
miss_lolo 10/23/2010 8:50:00 AM
I love this lipstick. The colour is a bright coral pink. It goes on smoothly, has a nice semi matte finish and lasts well. I love it so much more than the Nars lipstick I bought around the same time, which is super dry and feels so bad that I never were it! Will definitely repurchase.
Update: At first I loved this foundation but I think that love was really for the fancy Chanel bottle. Having used most of it up, I wouldn't bother buying it again. No good for dry skin and the colour range, typical of Chanel, is less than adequate. Drys very quickly, so I have to apply it fast. Can't spread it over unmoisturised skin. Smells sort of like perming solution, or the smell that comes out of a hairdressing salon....whatever that is. Not so good. And, worst of all, as many have noted, the freakin' bottle. It looks amazing, stylish, attractive, heavy glass. Nice. However, it has the smallest opening which means I have to bang the glass on the back of my hand to get the foundation out.
I first used this moisturiser about a year ago. I'd been looking for a regular moisturiser and until this point hadn't found one that worked for me. My skin was really suffering, very dry and dull looking, splotchy, red....man, it's like I turned 30 and my skin suddenly aged several years. Anyway, I bought this for it's super moisturisation properties and it truly delivered. It really turned my skin around and very quickly too. It calmed my thirsty skin without being heavy or greasy, I think the aloe in it balances out all the shea/avocado/omega oils. I'm on my second tub now although I probably use it every second or third night now as my skin is much better and doesn't need such intensive moisture every night. I love the scent, it's not at all artificial. I also put it on the back of my hands sometimes when they're looking very dry. It's a pretty deluxe product for the price, lots of great ingredients, it doesn't feel cheap at all. Here in Australia it retails for just under $40. I picked up my 2nd jar at David Jones - 25% off made it $30! Nice! UPDATE: Still using this on and off as I feel I need it. Still love it. Super moisturising. It's quite think so apply it to damp skin for a luxe glow. Wouldn't be without a jar!
I've always wanted to like this mascara, but it made my eyelashes fall out! Nasty.
Foundations -Chanel - Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make-Up ] [DISCONTINUED]
miss_lolo 8/13/2009 7:22:00 AM
There's something a little plasticky about this foundation when it comes out of the bottle, but the finish is great. Blends well and gives a nice not too matte, not too dewy look. The main problem I have with it is the colour range, which is lacking. I have the lightest shade however it's not perfect for my skintone - a bit too yellow and not pale enough. Not so freaky that I can't wear it as it blends well, I'd just like a more neutral tone. I'd buy this again as I like the finish it gives, unless I can find something with the same effect that matches my colour better.
Cleansers -Avene - Cleansing and Make-Up Remover Micellar Lotion
miss_lolo 8/13/2009 7:14:00 AM
I really like this. My face feels clean and refreshed without any oily residue. It doesn't irritate my temperamental skin. A little pricey, although probably no more than buying a cleanser and toner separately. Gets rid of all my make up and freshens my face when I need a pick me up. I'm keen to try Avene's Thermal Water after using this. Will definitely repurchase!
