Cleansers -Lancome - Mousse Confort- Foaming Cream Cleanser
mishamai 5/6/2012 11:32:00 AM
I quite like this product. I don't use it too much because it can be a bit... 'Stripping' may be the right word. I feel really clean after using it but maybe a bit TOO clean for comfort. I alternate using this and cetaphil since cetaphil is much gentler and I wouldn't use this cream cleanser twice in the same day. It's great for night cleansing to really remove all traces of the days make-up and dirt.

Treatments -Lancome - genefique

I'm a self-proclaimed Lancome junkie and I have to say, this product didn't thrill me. I love skincare and the art of preventing intead of reversing so I realize I may not be part of their target population (I'm 19) but I was hoping there would be more to it with all the hype. I got quite a haul of samples that kept me using the product for a good month of day and night application (3 drops- NOT DROPPERS FULL- 3 drops per application) and while there was some improvement, there was nothing too fantastic. I guess some is better than none though since it all adds up but not for th price of the product worth. My skin was smoother and just looked a bit nicer overall but for something that claims to show improvement in 7 days, I sure wasn't seeing that much improvement. I wouldn't buy it but I will keep accepting samples. It's not one of their products that I can't live without unfortunately.

Moisturizers -Lancome - Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30

I looove this moisturizer. I use this on in the morning after I take a shower and what not. I live in Tx with the blazing hot sun but I'm a lazy bum who doesn't like to put on moisturizer and then sunblock so this is the product for me! It's light enough to put makeup on top easily and comfortably and isn't too oily- it actually gives a nice dewy look so I like to go barefaced with it too. It is fairly pricey but skincare is definately my splurge area. The packaging is cute and durable (I'm clumsy and tend to drop it when I'm rushing in the morning). Also, I use clinique at night, not this.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Stick
mishamai 2/12/2012 1:32:00 PM
This is by far the best lip moisturizer out there. It smells/tastes like vanilla as a bonus! It moisturizers my lips so well without making them greasy and it stays on for so long. The only reason I deducted a point from the packaging is that it looks like glue stick and it's a bit large but it is also marketed as a 'any where that's dry' product so it would be perfect if you used it on hands, etc. I've been using it for a couple months now and it lasts so long. I haven't even really dented the product since the tube is pretty darn full when you buy it. You won't regret this buy for sure. I went from dry, chapped lips to smooth and soft =D

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

I was going to write a raving review about this until I read all the other reviews and had the flaws pointed out to me. Pros: very quick to dry, high shine, does its job Annoyances: get used to the thickness, smells like super glue Cons: shrinkage, peeling since it's so thick It's not perfect but it's the best I've found so far so I'll keep buying. I don't mind the cons I mentioned though since I do like to change my polish every week or so but it's a heads up for people who like their polish to last longer

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser
mishamai 9/28/2011 9:11:00 AM
I really like Neutrogena cleansers (I use the original orange colored one typically) and after reading so many raves on this in magazines, I had to try it and it's exactly what I expected. It's a little drying but my Clinique moisturizer right after makes sure I don't feel it anymore. The scent is yummy and wakes me up. I usually only wear tinted moisturizer if anything so it's fine for removing my "makeup" when used with my Skinsonic. Not the best, not the worst. Definitely worth the price and it's a good start. I'm kind of hesitant to buy pricier cleansers but I just need to find one with enough raves to convince me!
