Hair Color -Revlon - Colorist [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5

If there would be a possibility to give this product the lowest rating, I'd give it a minus 9. Here is why: I bought blue-black which is already a color that is hard to find. When I was done with the application, I noticed that my hair has gotten very dry and frizzy. This is the part that bothered me the most. On top of it, the color wasn't even blue-black. There was NO blue undertone at all. It looked like brown black. Thanks Revlon Colorist for ruining my hair!!! I hope that everyone who reads this review will reconsider buying this product because it is by far the worst out there. End of rant!

Lipstick -Guerlain - KissKiss 525 - Folie de Grenat
rated 5 of 5
miribre 11/12/2007 11:36:00 AM

This is my HG red lipstick! I always had trouble to find a red without orange undertone or that would turn fuschia on me. I adore Folie de Grenat and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a darker red color with a slight blue undertone. My skin complexion is NC30, MMM, and this red is PERFECT! Guerlain lipsticks have a very smooth and creamy texture. I also like the gold packaging. It looks very classy. I know that the lipsticks are more expensive but they are worth $27.

Lipstick -MAC - Mattene in Rapturous
rated 5 of 5
miribre 11/3/2007 8:20:00 PM

Rapturous is a beautiful blue-red that I have been looking for. I also wanted to get Classic Dame but it looks so bright and orange-red that didn't look good on me. Then I tried Rapturous and loved it. The matte texture is really nice and long lasting. I think this color is underrated. It is my favorite color from the Mattene collection. Wish they would make it permanent but MAC keeps pushing their customers with limited edition items.

Lipstick -MAC - Mattene in Rougette
rated 5 of 5
miribre 11/3/2007 8:16:00 PM

Rougette is a plum-red matte lipstick. When I first saw it, I figured it would be too dark for my NC30 complexion but it looks great. Then I went back and bought it. I got a few compliments when I was wearing it. The texture is a little drying but I managed to fix it by applying lip balm underneath. Staying power is good. I would buy it again. It is of course limited edition like any other product that has been launched by MAC.

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Stonewashed Nudes [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
miribre 6/24/2007 10:50:00 AM

When I saw the promo picture with the model that has my skin tone, I wanted to check it out. The previous reviews have already described the colors very well. Since I was looking for a cool nude/taupe e/s palette, this was the excellent choice. The silver color (Stonewash Shimmer Wash) is my HG silver because it doesn't have a blue undertone. I have been wearing the colors every single day since I got it. All colors look great on my NC30/MMM skin tone. Even the matte colors are very nice. I usually prefer shimmer. I never really liked Bobbi Brown products but this palette is a great start. The price is $50.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Bedroom Eyes Powder Liner in Sultry Sapphire
rated 1 of 5
miribre 12/11/2006 11:00:00 PM

I agree with the previous review by Splee. This product is a waste of $$. I wouldn't recommend it. When you open up the package, the powder just spills all over the place. It is getting worse when I tried to apply the product. I ended up having the dark blue powder on my cheeks. It was too bad because I had just applied foundation and powder. Gah! It is not that great if you are in a hurry in the morning. In short: -the application is a mess -it is overpriced for drugstore brands ($ 10.89) -color is nice but it doesn't make up for the messy application

Lipstick -Guerlain - Kiss Kiss - Magie de Grenat 510
rated 5 of 5
miribre 12/2/2006 6:04:00 PM

This is the first time that I have bought a Guerlain lipstick. I never felt the need to spend $26 on a lipstick but this one is worth it. I have a medium complexion with yellow undertone (NC30) and just love the color. It looks like a sheer dark red with plum undertone and gold shimmer on me. The texture is creamy and soft. I also love the dark red packaging. It has a nice scent to it as well. It is limited edition from the 2006 Holiday collection. Now I am hooked up on Guerlain lipsticks. Not good for my wallet but I don't regret it at all. Highly recommended.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secret Aishwarya Beige
rated 5 of 5
miribre 8/20/2006 7:01:00 PM

This is by far my favorite nude lipstick. Besides the point that Aishwarya Rai is a beautiful women, I was instantly attracted to it. It's the first l/s that I can see myself using up. That's what I also bought backup because it seems to be a limited edition item. The color looks like the perfect pink beige on me that I have been looking for quite some time. I am also surprised that I have found my HG for $7.99 from L'Oreal. Others were complaining about the strong scent but I love it. If you are somewhere around NC30, you should definitely check it out. The moisturizing texture and the chic black packaging with the Rai's signature on it, makes this product a winner! Hooray for L'Oreal on that one. Love it!!!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Heat Element Mineralize duo
rated 5 of 5
miribre 7/23/2006 10:29:00 AM

I am getting so many nice compliments when I am wearing this duo. The colors really great for my NC30 skin. I think the previous reviews are right. Heat/Element is not unique but the texture is amazing. Think of Stila e/s. Heat is a wonderful copper and Element looks a little but like Dazzleray meets Melon pigment. A Muse is the best collection this year by MAC IMO. Love it, would repurchase but it's of course limited edition.

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish -Shooting Star
rated 5 of 5
miribre 7/16/2006 10:50:00 AM

Shooting Star is the first skinfinish that I love for my NC30 complexion. It's part of the new A Muse collection. Other skinfinishes like Shimpagne, Petticoat look too light and frosty on me. Shooting Star is a tan color with no glitter or frosty shimmer and darker than Shimpagne. It does have a decent gold shimmer that is great. I was wearing it yesterday. It gives me a healthy glow so I'd say it is a highlighter/bronzer to me. While other bronzers always look muddy on me, this one doesn't. It is of course limited edition. Here is a pic: (Shooting Star is on the left side) http://img.makeupalley.com/1/2/3/0/511946.jpeg

Eye Shadow -MAC - Sunpepper
rated 5 of 5
miribre 6/17/2006 12:44:00 AM

Sunpepper is a LE pigment from the new She Shines collection (June 2006). I was not sure if it would work for me. It looked very similar to Blue Brown pigment that I already have. When I saw it at the counter, I loved it. It doesn't have the strong blue undertone so it is lighter with a rosy tone. NC30 here! I posted a pic in my profile wearing it. I am also using it as blush. A tiny dot on your cheek goes a long way. Would repurchase but the jar will last a long time.

Bronzers -Stila - Sun N Highlighter 2006
rated 3 of 5
miribre 6/10/2006 9:28:00 PM

I usually love Stila products but this doesn't work for me. I agree with the previous reviews. The packaging looks really nice and that's what attracted me to this bronzer. Once I applied it on my cheeks, it looked muddy and dirty on me. Even the shimmer can't make it up. I bought number #2 for my NC30 complexion. Would not repurchase.

Lips -MAC - See Thru Lip Colour-Stain
rated 5 of 5
miribre 5/19/2006 12:17:00 AM

I really like love the lip stains! I bought Rose de Sheer (pink-coral) and Lovin It Light (berry pink). Pics are in my profile. The texture is great and color payoff exactly what I expected. I also like the fact that it's the same packaging as a lipglass. A product that is worth buying if you like lip stains. Unfortunately, they are limited edition but I will stock up on these babies and get the third color (Not So Shy).

Lip Gloss -MAC - Goldensoft Lipgelee
rated 5 of 5
miribre 5/19/2006 12:08:00 AM

I am usually not crazy about any gold lip colors but this Goldensoft lipgelee is awesome! It looks bright and unwearable in the tube but goes on as a sheer gold that compliments my NC30 skintone. It's supposed to be permanent, so I would buy it again. I have a pic in my profile. Highly recommended!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Softwash Grey pigment [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
miribre 5/7/2006 10:52:00 AM

I am always attracted to grey colors. That's why I had to check out Softwash Grey from the Sundressing Collection 2006. It is a gorgeous grey with blue-silver undertone. My brown eyes really stand out with this color. I have a pic in my profile. Love it. Highly recommended! It is LE but I am sure this one lasts a long time.
