Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream
mintyeon 10/20/2012 4:46:00 PM
I use this moisturizer strictly for night time and I love it. Kiehl's is one of my trusted brands for skincare and I normally don't do much for my daytime skincare routine except wash my face put on some sunscreen and I'm out the door. I like the texture of this gel cream, it soaks up really easily into my skin and I experienced no breakouts what so ever. I felt that it wasn't that good layering over my acne lotion from my dermatologist because the acne medication is sticky, but I found other ways to make it work like putting my acne medication on top. I wake up with plump and moisturized skin and I definitely really like this. It's enough for my skin even when I have the flakes from the fall weather. A little goes a long way and I'm loving it. I love how it doesn't clog my pores either because I tend to get white heads and blackheads really easily, so thats a good thing. :) Definitely my go to moisturizer for any occasion, I haven't tried it during the winter, but I'll see and I'll let you guys know. I'm also in love with the toner and I think both the oil-free toner and gel cream go great together with my sensitive combination acne-prone skin. :) edit: forgot to mention I gave the gel cream 4 stars because I wish it came with a scoop so I don't have to dip my fingers into the tub. :/

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Lip Care - Strawberry
mintyeon 10/16/2012 2:14:00 AM
Although I love the wonderful strawberry smell to this lip balm, the color doesn't suit me as well as the cherry one does, but when worn sheer, it can be a pretty color on the lips too. I have the fruity shine version of the strawberry lip balm and it contains little glitters that unlike the cherry one, where I can't feel the glitter, I CAN feel the glitters to the strawberry one. It's not too rough, but it's definitely there. The color is definitely pretty when it comes to being swatched on the hand, it's a tad more towards a coral-red tint when it comes to being on my lips. It also has decent moisturizing effects on my lips, but the glitter and the color just don't suit me as much and I have to watch the amount I put on my lips which is kind of a hassle for me, so I give this lip balm a rating of 3. Its still a really nice balm that provides some moisture to the lips, maybe it will suit someone that's looking for a warm coral-red type tint. The price is inexpensive which is nice, but I don't think I will be repurchasing the strawberry one after I'm done with the one I already have.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Flavor Cherry
mintyeon 10/16/2012 2:11:00 AM
I used to be so into lipsticks, but for girls like me who constantly have dry lips even with the most moisturizing lipstick out there, tinted lip balms work best or a gloss. I actually have the fruity shine version of the cherry lip balm and I LOVE it. At first the cherry scent didn't really draw me in, since I hate the smell of cherry medicine (brings back memories of being forced to drink cherry cough syrup), but I managed to get by and actually like the smell after a little while. I like how it is decently moisturizing for my lips and how it adds a tint of color to the lips and you can definitely build it up to a certain extent. I like how the lip balm when on my lips brighten up my whole face and makes me look more alive. For the fruity shine version, there are micro-glitters in the lip balm but you can't see it when you apply on your lips and you can't feel it either. It adds a nice shine to the lips and not overly shiny like you have oil on your lips, which is a plus. It's an inexpensive lip product that I definitely will repurchase, it's the only "red"-like shade that I can pull off without being too bold or too pale. The one that I have doesn't have SPF, so that's a con, therefore rating = 4! Love the color payoff, moisturizing effect, and the great price! :)

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Lip Care - Rose
mintyeon 9/7/2012 5:09:00 PM
The packaging wise, it's like any nivea lip balm, it's pretty decently packaged. Product wise, I grabbed this as well as the cherry one and the strawberry one which I left both at my vacation home! So bummed that I only brought the rose one back. (I haven't tried the cherry/strawberry ones). The consistency is really creamy, when I swatch the lip balm on my hand, it goes on really smooth and with a hint of pigmentation. The smell is floral-like, hence the "rose." The color is a bit of a cool-toned baby pink, but it doesn't go too well on the lips. It builds up on certain areas on my lips and although it glides smooth, it goes on heavy which I don't like. The tint doesn't suit my lips, it just looks like a layer of frosty lipstick. This is totally a product I regret buying and luckily it was only $3. If you see this product, you can totally skip it because it's not a good tinted lip balm, but it doesn't mean nivea doesn't make good lip balms. :/

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
mintyeon 5/13/2012 1:30:00 AM
I love this powder because it doesn't break my oily acne-prone skin out and usually I am very sensitive to foundation, powders, or just about anything that I put on my face. It lasts all day long and I don't have to do touch ups and I love how they have different selections of skin color. I can always find the right color for me whether I'm tan during the time or pale. It tends to cake a little if I wear foundation/bb cream under, so I prefer to use this by itself and I love the coverage it gives me. It covers up most of my acne scars and I'm glad it does. I usually use this for special occasions though because I like to give my skin a lot of breathing time. I love how it leaves my face flawless and I like seeing my face flawless for special occasions. I love how it is matte and doesn't make me look oily. Love this powder! I'm on my second compact and I think I have gotten lighter because I used to be 25 and now I am an NC 20.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Turbo Boost Waterproof
mintyeon 5/13/2012 1:25:00 AM
My mother actually introduced me to this mascara, I had trouble with some mascaras flaking on me, but this mascara is LOVE. It lengthens my lashes and it doesn't make my lashes look like spider legs. It's decent lasting and the first time I ever tried this mascara was when I wore it to prom. I like how it makes my lashes look sort of dolly and it's waterproof. It removes so easily with my lancome eye makeup remover and that's a plus because I hate wearing eyeliner and mascara just for that reason. I love how the wand is so easy to use, and it doesn't make me get those spots on my lids or under my bottom lashes when I am applying mascara. I think for a mascara it's quite inexpensive and it works well for me and my mom. I am so thankful my mom introduced this mascara to me. :D Definitely so far my HG mascara!

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - 5 Colour Eye Shadow - 770 Pink Idol
mintyeon 4/24/2012 3:48:00 AM
This is my all time favorite eye shadow palette! It has gorgeous shades tha t I could use everyday. It has shades that I could also wear during nights out. I really like the gold color it comes with. You can create subtle eye looks to pretty decent smokey eyes with this palette! This was my first CD palette and I love it! Definitely would repurchase pink idol again after I run out but a palette does last you quite a decent amount of time. I like how the shadows are so pigmented and smooth! They dont crease at all on my lids because usually my asian oily lids tends to make eyeshadows crease on my eyes, but with these shadows they stay put for good! I'm glad these were the first shadows I tried because I love the pigmentation and texture! Definitely would repurchase, even considering other palettes! :)

Treatments -Etude - AC Clinic Pink Powder Spot Extreme
mintyeon 4/22/2012 6:04:00 AM
I love this as a spot treatment! It contains sulfur and salicylic acid! It's just like the mario badescu's drying lotion, don't shake the bottle up and let the powder and treatment (the salicylic liquid part) seperate. It helps with reducing the size of my pimples and it lessens the time for it to heal. Usually it takes me about a week or two for a pimple to be gone, if not, then I would have popped it since I don't like seeing spots on my face which is a big no no. I recommend using this as a spot treatment to prevent from popping pimples and to prevent from scarring. This works wonders for me and it's the first spot treatment I've tried that worked. I like how it's not that pricey and it contains 15mL of product, good enough to last me about 3 months, since I tend to break out more than a normal person would. Definitely would repurchase. Only downside is that when you apply it, its a white spot on your face. But you can use this at night so no worries. :) Definitely try this if you're looking for a spot treatment.

Treatments -Etude - AC Clinic Red Spot Balm
mintyeon 4/22/2012 6:00:00 AM
I bought like 2 jars of this! :) It takes quite awhile to see results and it only has 20mL of product. I think it last me about 2-3 months and the smell is actually quite refreshing. It does help with the redness of my pimples but it takes quite a few days. It is not a spot treatment but it treats the redness. It has also helped me lessen the darkness of my red spots i.e. hyper-pigmentation, but it does not fully make them go away. I use this to prevent new hyper-pigmentation from forming and it does it's job. It does lighten up the old hyperpigmentaion but not enough where it will go away completely. It just lightens a little. Overall, I say this is a good product to prevent from future scarring! Just apply a light layer over your pimple and notice the redness begone! :)

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
mintyeon 4/22/2012 1:32:00 AM
I've already am on my third tube of this lip balm! I love the scent even though some people might find it as a con. I love the texture and how it glides on and moisturizes my lips. I dislike how it does not contain SPF though, I really wish it did. I like how it gives my lips a little tint. I don't use this at night though because it might stain my pillow cases. But definitely will recommend this to anyone who wants to try Burts Bees lip balm, this is my fave out of all of them! :)

Treatments -Kiehls - Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
mintyeon 4/22/2012 1:27:00 AM
This is my HG skincare right here! :) I usually apply this and do not apply moisturizer. It has helped my hyper-pigmentation lessen alot and I love how it gives me glowy skin! It also brightens my face and I love how I get complimented on my skin. I have little hyper-pigmentation left and hopefully this will do the trick since it worked wonders for when it was at its worst. It also works for after I pop my pimples, the redness subsides after a couple of days and I'm glad this serum does that, or else I'd be stuck with more hyperpigmentation. There are two cons for me about this product but it doesn't affect my review, one is that the packaging is see-through/clear. It's contains vitamin c so i expected the packaging to be better because the vitamin c might oxidize, but it's ok, I store it back into the original packaging box so that it does not oxidize, hopefully. The second con is that it's quite pricey where I live. $76! Luckily I can get a discount and it turns out to be $56 dollars, makes it seem like my shipping fee, but its worth it to me and I will definitely repurchase because it does wonders for my hyper-pigmentation and my skin! :) P.S. I've been using it for a month and a half / almost two months and I have used up half of the serum.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Berry Swirl
mintyeon 4/22/2012 1:04:00 AM
Let me start off by saying I LOVE THE SCENT. it smells like starbursts to me. :P I like how it has SPF protection and gives me a nice tint to the lips. It's quite moisturizing and I really like this for daily wear. The only thing I can think of that is a con is when I do have super dry lips to the point where it is flakey, this lip balm doesn't do me any justice, it does not moisturize but accentuates my flakes and makes me feel oily on the lips, but I still love this because it keeps my lips moist when it's at a good condition, I just have to use a different lip balm during the night since this is tinted and it doesn't give me enough moisture when my lips are at its driest. Great for those who love tinted lip balms during the day time! :)

Powders -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Powder
mintyeon 4/16/2012 6:04:00 AM
I used this mainly when I had heat rash. I recently developed heat rash due to climate changes and the fact that my aircon wasn't w I was itchy all over my body, luckily no heat rash on my face, and this works wonders. I usually apply the baby powder when I am about to go to bed on the areas where I have heat rash on my body and it makes it less itchy and more comfortable. Definitely would repurchase because I have no idea when my heat rash is going to be gone at this rate. :(

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer SPF 15
mintyeon 4/7/2012 1:13:00 AM
This was the first neutrogena lip balm I have tried. It worked pretty decent in moisturizing my lips, but I'm not sure if I am the only one that thinks this lip balm tastes horrible. It would always get into my mouth and I'd have this bitter taste in my mouth that lasts quite awhile. Definitely would not repurchase.

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Sumptuous Waterproof
mintyeon 4/4/2012 7:20:00 AM
At first this was a great mascara, when I put it on, it makes my lashes look like dolly lashes in a way, the fake lashes type. It really makes my lashes hard though. Because I live in humid weather, I found bits of mascara under my eyes. Ever since that day, I did not want to try to see if I would like this mascara, it just doesn't work in humid weather, and it flakes off my lashes after awhile. :/
