Moisturizers -DHC - Olive Virgin Oil

I really like this product as a night-time moisturiser, I use it daily for both eyes and face, and it leaves my dry skin feeling lovely. I haven't seen any miracles but am hoping it will prevent lines as I approach my mid 30's. I'm allergic to rose hip oil but this olive oil works just fine for me. The bottle is small and compact which keeps my bathroom shelves clutter free.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Muji - Cleansing Oil
rated 4 of 5

This is review is for the sensitive cleansing oil which I use daily as part of my end of day cleaning routine. I find it effective at removing light make-up around the eyes and face. I don't wear a lot of make-up, mainly concealer, a hint of powder, highlighter and sometimes mascara. I find that after cleaning my face with this oil it does not feel like it has been exposed to harsh chemicals and stripped of all moisture, but it still feels clean. I typically massage the cleansing oil into my face and neck and then jump into the shower to rinse off, it's so simple to use and I love that it isn't too expensive at $90HKD for 200ML. Whilst I love this product for my day to day cleaning, when I do wear a full face of makeup, especially waterproof mascara I prefer to double-cleanse, first with my Muji sensitive cleansing oil and then with a disposable Biore makeup remover cleansing wipes, just to make sure that all traces of makeup have been removed. My only issue with this cleansing oil is the packaging because I find it hard to take it when I travel. The full sized bottle is not travel friendly and the smaller travel sized bottle seems to leak!

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion
rated 5 of 5

I actually really like this lotion and have used it on both face & body without irritation. I buy both the lotion and cream and use either depending on how I feel/how much time I have to get ready. I find the lotion very easy to apply, less expensive and has less of that initial "greasy" feel on top of the skin. The lotion appears to sink in faster which helps me get ready faster in the mornings.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherie

For me, there is something about this fragrance that makes it feminine, pretty, lovely and very like-able. I loved this scent the first time I smelt it. I actually spray it into my long hair so I can sniff it during the day.... The packaging is youthful, fun and romantic, the only downside is that the cap is a little sharp. (I'm quite clumsy so sharp edges on any packaging is not good for me!) I will definitely repurchase... it is currently my signature scent.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
rated 5 of 5
mini_cooper 7/9/2008 9:13:00 AM

I use this as a body moisturiser, concentrating mainly on arms and legs. It works really well for me and is inexpensive so makes me feel better about buying La Mer! I love that it has no scent so it does not affect my perfume. I will repurchase again... and will continue to do so probably forever! :)

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream
rated 5 of 5
mini_cooper 7/9/2008 9:09:00 AM

A little expensive but this hand cream is lovely to use so I always buy for myself as a 'pick me up'. I have super dry hands so whenever I wash my hands I should always use hand cream afterwards or my hands tend to become dry and the skin sometimes flaky. Sometimes I'm get embarrassed to show my hands in public they are so dry! The shea butter scent is nice and not overpowering. Once this cream has been applied it does not take too long to sink in and makes my hands look and feel beautiful, and most importantly not embarrassing! I'm not a fan of the metal tube packaging as the ends are a little spiky, but regardless of this, it's my HG hand cream :)

Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
mini_cooper 7/9/2008 9:02:00 AM

This is definitely a very expensive cream so I prefer to buy the smaller 30ml pots whenever I run out. I am currently finishing off my second 30ml pot, and have fresh new 30ml pot sitting in my bathroom for when I run out. This cream is so expensive in Australia, so I either order it online or purchase it when I go overseas. As mentioned by others this is a nice moisturiser provided you apply it properly ie. warm it up a little so that it sinks into the skin. Otherwise the product will just sit on top of the skin. After application I think it actually makes my face look dewy and feel soothed. I don't think this cream has any noticeable anti-aging properties however I have noticed that it does aid in skin healing and helps calm skin sensitivity. Last winter my eyebrows, or rather the skin under my eyebrows started to flake and nothing I tried helped until I went back to La Mer. I'm afraid this moisturiser is a HG for me! Whenever I feel bad for splurging on this I remind myself that my Cetaphil cleanser and body moisturiser average out the costs a little... :)

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
mini_cooper 7/9/2008 8:24:00 AM

This is a great daily face cleanser. I love it as it's inexpensive, gentle on the skin and scent free. And if I accidentally get some in my eyes it does not sting! To effectively use the cleanser I find I need to work a decent amount of product and massage it into my skin. If I've been wearing makeup, Cetaphil removes most of it but I do find that I still need to use a bit of makeup remover to remove the last traces, to clean out my pores. I'm through with foaming facial cleansers, it's Cetaphil for me from now on. HG cleanser!

I got a horrible rash on my face after using this cleansing milk along with using the Intral cream. It took about 2 weeks before my face returned back to its normal smoothness :(. I have sensitive dry skin and will not buy another Darphin product ever again!

Cleansers -Jurlique - Ultra Sensitive Face Wash
rated 3 of 5
mini_cooper 8/7/2006 7:12:00 AM

Great product for my dry sensitive skin. Lovely to use on face and neck. Fresh botanical smell. I use mine in the shower. If I wear makeup I use the OPC Makeup remover as well. Edit: I think this product is overpriced and actually not so great for sensitive skin at all. I now use Cetaphil daily - HG cleanser!

Lotions/ Creams -Jurlique - Rose/Lavender Hand Cream
rated 4 of 5
mini_cooper 7/9/2006 5:32:00 AM

A really nice hand cream but just a little pricey! Edit: Am no longer a fan of the strong lavender smell and Jurlique products are now so expensive! I prefer the L'Occitane 20% Shea Butter now, works just as well and less "smelly" :)

Lotions/ Creams -Jurlique - Lavender Hand and Body Lotion
rated 4 of 5
mini_cooper 7/9/2006 5:30:00 AM

I use this light lotion for my hands as an alternative to the Jurlique lavender hand cream and love it too. I find it a good moisturiser however due to the packaging I cannot carry it around in my handbag with me at all times. Other than that it is great and at $30aud for 240ml it is great value for money.

Moisturizers -Jurlique - Calendula Cream
rated 4 of 5
mini_cooper 6/18/2006 7:55:00 AM

An excellent calming face moisturiser for dry sensitive skin without being greasy. I use this product day and night, it is also a great for guys too due to the simple packaging. The 125ml tube is pretty good value at $60 Aud, I have re-purchased numerous times and will keep buying this product. Edit: I have always loved the Calendula cream however for dry skin types, this is more a treatment cream rather than a moisturiser - more a luxury than a necessity. Taking off one lippie.

Sunscreen -Shiseido - Anessa - town use sunscreen SPF30
rated 4 of 5
mini_cooper 9/24/2005 12:53:00 AM

This is excellent, I love this sunscreen and use it daily. Blends in perfectly with absolutely no white cast! Also its non greasy and there is no strong smell. I find I do need to wear a mosturiser underneath (shiseido the skincare day essential moisturiser enriched spf10) since I have very dry skin, but I find this combo works abosolutely perfectly for my skin. I order mine from strawberrynet and would definately repurchase when I run out.
