Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Dr. Dans Cortibalm
minc 6/1/2011 5:56:00 PM
Best. Lip. Balm. Ever. It pains me that I can't walk into my local Target and find Cortibalm. I wish I didn't have to mail order it always, but this stuff is worth it! Once you use it, you can never go back to Chapstick. It literally resurfaces your lips. And it's never greasy.

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick - Graped Up
minc 4/23/2011 12:13:00 AM
Love! No muss, no fuss silky smooth sheer lipcolor. Chubby sticks are like lip balm only better because they have fantastic color built right in. I will definitely be buying more of these based on my experience with Graped Up. The color is a cross between mauve and plum with a brown undetone and is quite buildable with reasonable lasting power. My lips are SO happy!

Polishes -Essie - Demure Vixen
minc 2/13/2011 7:55:00 PM
Love this shade! It's my new fav. With just one coat you get something very sheer and neutral, but with two coats you get the most beautiful and unique lavender-blushy-nude. That's really the best way to describe the color. Goes on like a dream- no streaks and it dries quickly for an easy and beautiful at-home mani!

Brows -Bare Escentuals - Essential Brow Color - Dark Blonde / Medium Brown
minc 1/20/2011 9:37:00 PM
The best brow color I have ever found. A little goes a long way on me. Just a gentle swipe of this and my brows are popping. I'm a recent convert to BE products and I'm basically addicted. So far, I love everything they make! This brow color is no exception.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Glimmer in Drama
minc 1/20/2011 9:27:00 PM
I purchased mine at a BE store. I have never been a fan of brown e/s shades, but Drama has won me over. I think it is something of a chameleon color because it never seems to look exactly the same way on me. Sometimes I see bronze, other times I see silver. It's a little odd, but in a good way because it always looks good! I've worn it day and night. Think I may like it a tad more at night when I can really dial up the color. Drama has become my go to shade overnight. The first technically brown shade I really, really like!

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - High Shine Moonshine
minc 1/20/2011 9:12:00 PM
Amazing! Love the color-silvery lilac. Love the application-it glides on and blends SO easily. Love the impact of this color on my eyes. It has a foiled effect that and is so smooth and shimmery-pretty. The previous reviewer was right, this color lasts and lasts! No primer needed at all. For night wear I use the applicator, but for daytime wear, I dab it on with my finger or a q-tip. A little truly goes a l o n g way. There is a little mess (fall-out) when using the applicator, so I just do my eyes first and then apply the rest of my m/u. I can't wait to try the other colors!!

Lipstick -Laura Mercier - Dry Rose
minc 1/12/2011 2:52:00 PM
This is the shade that instantly brightens my face! My go-to shade for daytime. I am a PPP with blue eyes and blonde hair and I think this is an ideal shade for me. You can wear it very vibrant OR do as I do and apply a softer coat. My only wish is that LM would package this in a slim tube. I'm not a huge fan of bulky lipsticks. All-in-all, a great shade with very good lasting power.

Scrubs -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - Micro Polish Cream
minc 3/9/2010 11:13:00 PM
Best. Scrub. Ever. I've been using this for several months, once per week, and I love the results! My skin is much smoother. Bye-bye wintertime flakies. This scrub is super fine, like the tiniest granules of sand, but gentle. I wet my face and then pat dry before going all over in a circular motion with my fingertips for about 2 minutes. Next, I simply rinse, rinse, rinse with cool water. I love MUAC packaging. It's NO frills and allows you to scoop-out every last bit of product. Perfect design, if you ask me. This product is not exactly like a microderm treatment, but over time I have achieved smoother skin and fewer breakouts from weekly applications of this micro polish. It's a Holy Grail product for me. No question. You can get a sample for about $2. Give it a try!

Powder -Aveda - Inner Light Dual Foundation
minc 4/23/2008 5:38:00 PM
My current foundation fav! Gosh I love this stuff. 1. beautiful coverage w/o being too heavy, however I do not use this for touch-ups during the day. it's a foundation, not a touch-up powder. i have oily, acne prone skin and this is all the coverage I need. 2. wonderful staying power 3. goes on like a dream - silky, smooth, exceptionally blendable. The inner light comes from these tiny sparkle particles that you cannot see on your skin unless you are in direct light and even then they are quite subtle. I am a PPP and use the Aster shade, which is -02. I don't think $20 is too much for this stuff. It will easily last you 3-4 months and it's definitely superior in quality to anything you could buy from the drugstore. Highly recommeded!!

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine in Blackberry Bloom
minc 4/4/2008 6:11:00 PM
A good everyday color, yes. Much more berry-ish than plum. The color is somewhat sheer and the plump effect is nothing to write home about. At $17.50, the reviewer below me is correct, this product is overpriced. I don't love it enough to repurchase, but I'll happily use the tube I have.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Eye Colour Duo in Burgundy
minc 4/4/2008 6:08:00 PM

The colors in this duo consist of a deep shimmery wine (burgundy) and a light lavender-mauve w/o shimmer. Wearing these colors the first time today, I applied the lavender-mauve all over my eyelid and then dabbed the burgundy on my lower-lid for some punch-effect. The burgundy makes for a nice contrast with my blue eyes. I paired with Clinique full potential gloss in Blackberry Bloom and Smashbox blush in Candid. The shimmery burgundy has a great amount of pigment when applied using a sponge tip applicator. The colors went on nice and smooth, like all of the LM eyeshadows. According to the Sephora SA, these colors can also be worn wet, which is something I might try for night.

Lip Gloss -Laura Mercier - Lip Plumper - Bronzed Berry
minc 4/1/2008 5:20:00 PM
I love this gloss! The shade is truly a semi-sheer berry with a some bronze swirled-in, so there's a nice two-dimensional effect when applied. Enough color to be worn alone, but not super-pigmented. It's just so shimmery and rich on my lips. I could swear it improves the shape of my mouth although I usually see no difference when wearing a lip plumper. It does have a nice minty taste and the slightest tingly sensation. A bit expensive for gloss at $30, but I definitely don't regret my purchase. Highly recommended!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Baked Eyeshadow
minc 4/1/2008 5:13:00 PM
This is too orange. I used Laura Mercier Pearl all-over and then did the UD Baked in my crease and dabbed some on my lids. I've felt washed out all day long. I'm a PPP with blonde hair and blue eyes. This shade was actually recommended to me by the Sephora SA. She said it would make my blue eyes pop, but the only thing I can see is how washed-out I look. Ugh.

Treatments -Kerastase - Ciment Thermique
minc 3/25/2008 6:09:00 PM
My stylist said this is the best leave-in to apply before using heat on my hair and he was right! I wouldn't think of using my flat iron w/o a dab of this first.

Styling Products -Bumble & Bumble - does it all styling spray
minc 3/25/2008 6:06:00 PM
This is hairspray for people who don't like hairspray. Oh my goodness how I love it! I spray my hair section by section as I'm curling and I have shine and bounce the whole day. Best of all, my hair feels like I have nothing in it at all. Where has this stuff been all my life?
