Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20
mi2092 4/19/2013 12:29:00 PM
Nice drugstore foundation. I don't understand what fragrance ppl are talking about. As far as I know mine do not contain fragrance. But I do have a weird experience with the shade. I bought #60 Natural Beige at Ulta at first. But it was wayyyy too dark for my NC 25 skin. It's weird because I've been reading reviews before I buy and #60 should be the best match for NC 25 with yellow under tone. So I bought another bottle of #60 from walgreens and immediately I can notice the difference when compared to the one I bought from Ulta. The Ulta one is at least two shade darker! I did noticed that the labels are different. Maybe one is new package and one is old. Now on to the product itself. It's not very long lasting and I can see oil within 4 hours even though I have dry skin. But I really like the consistency and the ability to blend. It offers sheer coverage. But it's quite amazing when mixing with a thicker foundation. Makes it easier to blend and fix the coverage problem if you like more than just sheer coverage. I also bought #10 to mix with all the darker shades foundation I hhave while I like using #60 on itself. It doesn't feel heavy at all.

Eyeliner -NYX - retractable eye liner

I have this in black. this is the first NYX products that i really don't like. i used it on my upper lash lines and by the end of the day it transfer to my lower inner corners. also there were flakes under my eyes. It only cost a few bucks but it's not worth it.

Eye Makeup Remover -Maybelline - Clean Express! Waterproof Eye Make Up Remover Ultra Gentle
mi2092 3/29/2013 10:27:00 AM
Had coupons for it and after comparing reviews I decided to get a one and try it out. I tried Mary Kay(my favorite), Lancôme Bi-Facil(good but expensive), Sonia Kashuk(irritates and drys my eyes), also Neutrogena oil free eye makeup remover(leaves oily residue and irritates my eyes). I uses this on both waterproof and non waterproof mascara and it does a pretty good job on removing them. Performance is 4/5. No irritation, no oil residue. Didn't clean between the lashes completely even after I soak the cotton pad with product and cover eyes for 10 seconds befor wiping. That means it doesn't dissolve the mascara in hard to reach places quick enough. But I can live with it due to price being so cheap. Regular $4.99 and I paid $2.99 for it. For this price if it doesn't irritate my eyes and cleans well, I will repurchase. Packaging is cute. The opening is a bit big so watch out when you pour it.

Foundations -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall Cream Foundation
mi2092 3/3/2013 4:48:00 AM
Pretty decent foundation for the price. Only $3.99! I'm NC25 and shade 820 match my skin tone. It's the only shade with yellow tone in the line. I bought 815, the lightest shade with neutral tone to mix with 820 because I like my foundation to be a little bit lighter than my skin tone. And it actually work out just like I wanted. This foundation doesn't have a smell. The consistency is a bit thick. Could be hard to blend if you don't use a primer. I feel like the coverage is more medium than full like it says. The lasting power is about 8 hours. Very impressed by the quality of this foundation. Although I have to buy two bottles and do some mixing, but I'm getting twice the amount. Great value!

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
mi2092 3/3/2013 4:17:00 AM
This primer is either a hit or miss. I'm glad it actually work well for me. Pros: -smooth out skin instantly. -makeup goes on nice an easy. -the finish is flawless. -no particular smell. -only need to use a small amount. Cons: -pricey for the amount you are getting. Over $10 for 0.5 oz. -inconvenient to bring with for traveling. -have to use finger to dig it out. Doesn't feel clean. -does not help to keep your makeup last all day. Maybe 2-3 hours extra than no primer.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
mi2092 2/27/2013 2:38:00 AM
I tried this on Neutralizer before and it went straight to the garbage. It just doesn't do anything for me. It's yellow and thin. Doesn't cover my dark circles. Then I bought Light after watching Xteeener on YouTube. It's less than $4 (after coupons), why not! And I actually like it this time. Light has a slight pink tone to it and it covers my dark circles a lot better than Neutralizer. I finally figure out it is because my dark circles are blue/purple tone. So a pink tone concealer works better. Yellow tone concealer is for brown dark circles. Thank you internet! Ok, now I found the shade I actually like it better. But I only wear it on days that I'm not going out. While it brighten the under eye areas the coverage and staying power are just ok. 2-4 hours later it starts fading. But for the price I can't complain. I already repurchased some back ups.

Eye Makeup Remover -Mary Kay - Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
mi2092 2/27/2013 2:18:00 AM
Gentle and effective. Remove all trace of eye makeup without irritating or drying my eyes. This is one of the few eye makeup removers I can use because my eyes are so sensitive. An this one falls on the lowest price range among them. I really like it and I'm on my second bottle now.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Hada Labo - Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Milk
mi2092 2/26/2013 3:28:00 AM
It does an OK job hydrating when use alone as moisturizer. But I like it better using it underneath my regular moisturizer. This alone just doesn't quite cut it for my dry skin during winter. My skin care routine is toner- one drop of Hada Labo Moisturzing Milk- serum- moisturizer/face cream. Because I only use one drop everytime one bottle last me for a longtime. Price is ok. Around $17-$21. Hard to find thought. I usually buy it online. This product doesn't have any smell. Very gentle on skin.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
mi2092 2/26/2013 3:12:00 AM
Love this product. I love the smell of rose. Not overwhelming. Just so relaxing. Sure it's a petrolatum base product but it's nothing like Vaseline or Aquaphor. Those two products just sit on my lip to keep the moisture in but do nothing on hydrating. That's even worse because my lip can't breath I always get a reaction after using those. Ever since I start using Rosebud Salve my lip is way softer than it use to be. And the hydrating effect last longer than regular lip balm. I only use the one in the tin as I read reviews on people saying the one in the tube is different. I don't mind using my finger since I always wash my hands before applying. Price is ok. Not too expensive. It last for a long long time. Good value.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Rosewater
mi2092 2/26/2013 2:50:00 AM
Bought my Rosewater from a eBay seller named sweet-essential. This is because I can't find any brand of Rosewater at any drug/food store around me. So I gave it a try on eBay. This seller sells their own brand. Claimed to be 100% pure Rosewater imported from Morocco, USDA certified. I believe them because they are willing to show Certificate of Authenticity if you ask. I like how it contain no chemical or fragrance. Only pure Rosewater. I feel good using it on my face knowing that. The rose smell is very much like the real flower. So relaxing. I've been using it for months and so far so good. Skin feels smooth and hydrated. No bad reaction. I think I will keep using this as a toner from now on as I would like something more natural instead of a bunch of chemical mixed into mineral water( or just water in some case). This particular brand Rosewater comes in a 4 oz. brown plastic bottle. Which I adore because I believe essential products should be kept in dark color bottle because they are sensitive to sunlight. It sells for about $8 comes with free shipping.

Treatments (Eye) -La Mer - Eye Concentrate
mi2092 2/25/2013 5:07:00 AM
I this eye cream is crazy expensive. But it only do an ok job keeping your under eye hydrated. Other than that I have not seen any change on my dark circle or lines ( I don't have fine lines but I have a deep line under each eye due to lack of care at my early 20's). Base on that I will not purchase a full size.

Treatments -Christian Dior - Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum
mi2092 2/25/2013 5:00:00 AM
I've been using the samples I got from Dior Diva reward and GWP. All of those add up to be almost 1 oz., which is a full size bottle that would have cost me $95. I use a peanut size for day and double at night. This serum has a thicker consistency than all the other serum I've tried. It sits on you skin when you first apply it. I usually give it about 3-5 minutes to absorb before I apply moisturizer. Dior suggests you to put this on before ANY OTHER skin care product. But I still use it as a regular serum. I find this very hydrating and it's the main reason I keep on using it. I really notice a difference between this and all other serum I used. My dry lines disappeared in one week. Along with the dry patch at the corner of my mouth. I've been using this for about 3 months now and I'm very happy with it. I already purchase a limited edition ($150 for 2.5 oz.) size. If I were to spend money on it I want to make sure I get the best value.

Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer
mi2092 2/25/2013 4:36:00 AM
I really like this cream although a lot of people seem to dislike it's thick consistency. The expensive price tag( $150 for 1 oz. and $275 for 2 oz.) kept me away from it all this time. But this winter I decided I should invest into a good moisturizer. I didn't buy it base on the advertisement. I have two friends who have been using this for years. One of them is at her 40's and the other one is at her 30's. Both of them look great for their age! In fact if I didn't know better I would say they both look at least 5 years younger than their age. Fact is better than any advertisement they can show you. I use a pea size morning and night. Warm it up then pat it on my face. It's very hydrating without being oily. It does feel like it's just sitting on the skin at first but it will absorb in about 5 minutes or so. My skin feels softer and more hydrate. It also help reduce the redness and acne scars on my face. I'm very happy with the result. Recently I burned 4 fingers on my hand with hot water. That night I put a thin layer of this cream on them before bed and the next morning the burning sensation was gone and the redness also disappeared. I bought a 1 oz. bottle back in September and by now I still have 1/3 left even though I use it day and night. I will keep using this cream because I think I spent enough on experimenting other face cream. Honestly nothing compair to this IMO.

Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum
mi2092 1/16/2013 4:43:00 AM
I always have this in my makeup bag. I use it as a primer before putting on mascara and it adds volume and a bit of length to my lashes. It contain very fine fiber. So fine you can't even see it. I tried Lancôme and Sephora lash primer but they just don't look the same. Plus the other two are just labeled as primer. Unlike this one I can also use it at night as a serum. It helps with the growth of my lashes. Because it works I'm willing to buy it again and again even though it costs $28. The label says it last for 6 months after opening. But I've been using the same tube for more than 6 months and it's still here.
