First of all, Youngblood was created by a paramedical esthetician and worked with dermatologists and plastic surgeons. She specialized in people that had sensitized skin from medical treatments and decided to create a line of makeup that caters to patients who can only use a limited amount of product on their face. With that in mind... I get this discounted from work since our beauty supply is contracted with Youngblood. Love, love, love it. I use "Soft Beige" and while the color isn't 100% perfect (it never will be, my skin color is so strange) I love the finish it gives me. Not overly matte, not overly shiny. This product only has 4 ingredients so I feel like I'm not wearing a lot of makeup, which is generally what I like. Got "Tawnee" for my mom who prefers the finish of makeup that I do and she loves it! I buff it in with my Sonia Kashuk buffing brush with great results. I recommend it for people with sensitive skin or people that like the bare minimum. For the ingredient-conscious, YB is paraben and also cruelty free.

Styling Products -Moroccanoil - Hydrating Styling Creme
rated 4 of 5

Pretty good product. I have fine hair but a lot of it so my hair is weighed down easily by products like this. My hair is just past my collar bone and I use about a pea-size amount for all of my hair while towel-dried -- I need it all over because my hair is very frizzy -- and it's enough to lock in moisture and keep it shiny. I like that I don't have to use a lot so it's a lot of bang for my buck!

Shave Products -eos - Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss

Awful. Bought it at Walgreens because it was a buy one, get one half off deal, so I got the vanilla and lavender one. First of all, I hate that I have the pump a million times before I can cover my legs below the knee to shave... and repeat for the rest of my leg. I'm 5'5" and 115 pounds, it's not like I have fat legs or anything. You have to use so much product to get anything out of it, and then it stops pumping out product when there's a 1/4 of the bottle left on the bottom. Ugh. INGROWN HAIRS GALORE! I've never hated a product more in my life. I understand how ridiculous I sound but I'm annoyed at how many red bumps I have ALL over my legs.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
rated 4 of 5
mhunterjumper 10/23/2012 1:25:00 AM

Why are so many people are whining about silicones? Silicones are more durable than oil and can withstand very high temperatures. Oil has smoke points. Argan oil is a vegetable oil and can be used for cooking. Pure oil also goes rancid. Silicones formulated for hair create a light film around the hair shaft to keep in conditioning properties from your shampoo/conditioner and is resistant to water, so it keeps out humidity. Your choice is to go somewhere that sells pure oil and make sure you use it before it expires, or buy a product chemists have carefully designed to be long-lasting, high-quality AND versatile. You cannot get that from "pure" argan oil. If you don't like the product, don't buy it anymore! I have wavy, fine, frizzy, color-treated and thermal-styled hair and find I can use the normal treatment to smooth down my hair. Yes, it is expensive, but I have hair just past my collarbone with a ponytail 4 inches in diameter and can use a dime-sized amount to make sure all of my hair is getting the product and lasts me a very long time. If it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work. Maybe you're using too little or too much. Maybe you did the wrong thing and bought a counterfeit item online or at the grocery store. I don't mean to be bitter, but if you're on here for the sake of bitching about ingredients, please create your own hair products and get over it. Moroccanoil is one of the leading brands in my industry and probably will be until the next concept for hair is revolutionized.

Lipstick -Revlon - ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Ultimate Wine
rated 2 of 5

I'll start with the positive aspects first. I got this product in "Prized Peach". BEAUTIFUL color. I like the packaging as well. However... this was way too expensive for what it's worth! This lip product is absolutely awful! It's very runny when you apply it, and you often see the product trailing out the lines of your lips. Not that easy to apply. Also, once it starts to dry, it's very sticky. I habitually pucker my lips after applying lip product, and I was surprised to see that my lips were actually sticking together, LOL. The worst part of this product? It feathers out-- BAD. It starts to look really flaky after 5-10 minutes. I wanted to like it based off of the color, but Revlon really messed up on this one. :/

Conditioner -Redken - All Soft Conditioner

It's alright. I'm sure for certain people, this product is lovely. But my hair demands moisture 24/7 because it's wavy and frizzy, so I prefer my Sebastian Drench. I do love the honey smell, though. :)

Oh my, I love this shampoo and conditioner. I gave it a "3" price range because I'm a cosmetologist-- I get 50% off discounts where I get it. :P I have fine hair, but a lot of it, and it's frizzy and wavy and naturally feels dry-- this shampoo/conditioner combination completely restores the way I feel about my hair! Haha. It's never too greasy, it smells wonderful, and penetrates the hair with moisture wonderfully. This truly is a moisturizing duo. The packaging is nice. I prefer the flip top, but I get the liters so I can put in a pump if I want to.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup

This is probably the best drugstore foundation I've used (320 Warm Golden; my summer color). I use the Sonia Kashuk synthetic flat top brush to buff out this product; I only apply to my T-zone and buff it out towards the outside of my face. I've had good results with my fingers too. The tone is nice. I'm in between a neutral and olive, so it's extremely hard to find the "perfect" foundation shade and am convinced I never will. But, this color does blend in nicely with my jaw and neck in natural light, so I'm happy. The tone is a TINY bit off, but nothing that anyone else can tell. I do have oily skin. I've been wearing this for a week now with no breakouts. I don't prime my face; I don't need to because I use a good moisturizer. I don't apply powder after. I find that the foundation doesn't slip off my face. I've gone clubbing with this foundation on and it's stayed on just fine. The only problem-- it has SPF, so it WILL turn your face white in flash photography. I like the packaging for what it is. It's not the most sanitary, but I am good about cleaning my brushes regularly. I do like the pot concept as I prefer products that come in nice, hard cases instead of being flimsy and breakable. Some people really seem to hate this product, but for my oily skin I've had excellent luck. And for what it's worth, I'll buy it again when I start fading out towards fall/winter.

Hair -It's a 10 - MIRACLE STYLING SERUM
rated 5 of 5
mhunterjumper 9/21/2011 3:01:00 PM

I got this for free at a hair show for cosmetologists near Seattle. It came with a bunch of goodies by It's a 10, and I have to say this styling serum is my favorite of the bundle. I have wavy, dry hair that is pretty short right now (chin-length) so my hair isn't too poofy yet, but when I put this in my hair while it's still damp it works miracles. No frizzies and my hair becomes smooth and manageable. It smells nice too. I also have horses... and it may sound like a waste to other people, but when I want to repair and smooth out their manes and tails... this is what I use. ;)

Treatments -It's a 10 - Miracle Leave in Product
rated 4 of 5
mhunterjumper 9/21/2011 2:53:00 PM

I do like this product as it smells very nice and cuts down my drying time in half. It protects my hair from heat and smooths it down. The only thing I don't like is that it has a bizarrely slimy texture... I hate it when it gets on my bathroom floor after I spray and I step on it. I prefer the styling serum in towel-dried hair from this brand much better, as it's more suitable for my wavy and thick hair. I won't be repurchasing because I know there's something better and I have a problem with weird textures. lol

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole Fresh Wear
rated 5 of 5
mhunterjumper 9/21/2011 2:39:00 PM

I was matched to Bisque 6 at the Lancome counter one day, in hopes I could finally match a color to my skin. Well, the color was perfect. Even after I went outside and wore it for the rest of the day, I was pleased with this product. It has perfect coverage for me, as I have fairly nice skin but I just want to even out redness. I haven't tried this product with a primer + powder yet, as I am still using up the sample portion I received. It's nice that a little goes a really long way. I also like that it's non-comedogenic because my skin can be pretty oily and break out when it doesn't agree with a product. When I'm done with my sample I will definitely purchase this and also go back to the counter when my summer tan fades to be matched to something lighter. Thanks, Lancome!

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
rated 2 of 5
mhunterjumper 8/11/2011 2:15:00 AM

I really wanted to like this product, but it's the culprit to my recent break out. It may not break out other people, but my face is pretty sensitive to products that aren't non-comedogenic, which none of MAC's products are. I still decided to give it a go, thinking a powdery substance would be fine. After about 4-6 hours with primer, depending on the temperature outside, it started to look uneven on my face. I also didn't like that the color looked inconsistent in different lighting, as a user below stated. What I did like about this product is how buildable it is. Although I'm disappointed wasting $26 on this, I'm sure others love this product, but I personally won't be repurchasing.
