Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush
rated 2 of 5

I pretty much bought this mascara just because I liked the color of the tube and I liked the commercial. Other than that this mascara just didn't work for me. It didn't do much for me. It flakes first of all. As far as volume goes, I just didn't get that. And as far as length goes, ya I didn't see that either. Definetly won't repurchase.

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Cream Eyeshadow

I picked this up in Candlelight. At first I didn't like it because I didn't really blend it out much but once I figured out how to blend it out properly it was a beautiful color. It requires very good blending. As far as color pay off goes, it was pretty and lasted throughout the day. I didn't really notice any fading or creasing so overall I really liked it and would repurchse.

Eyeliner -Milani - Easy Liner Retractable Pencil
rated 2 of 5
merin44 2/5/2013 4:29:00 PM

I've never really used any Milani products before besides a nail polish about 3 years ago so when I saw this at Target for $3.99 (roughly) I picked it up in Charcoal. Usually Charcoal is a pretty dark black but when I opened this up I could already tell just from the color of the actual product that it was more of a light grey than black. The color pay off was horrible for me. I found myself retracing my line about 4 times and yet it was still a light grey color, Definetly wont buy this again, the color pay off just wasnt that great.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear in Made for Mocha

Pretty good eyeshadow. It's the darkest brown I found at the time out of all of Maybelline's eyeshadows. It's also my first eyeshadow from Maybelline. It doesnt compare to MAC's eyeshadow but it does a great job and has a pretty good color pay off. For me personally I didnt get any creasing and the color seemed to last throughout the day. I did pack a bunch on when i first applied it so maybe that's why the color didn't fade but who knows. I would buy this again just because its cheap and works for me. I bought this at Target for I think $3.50-$4.00.

Concealers -Hard Candy - Glamoflauge Concealer
rated 4 of 5
merin44 2/5/2013 4:19:00 PM

This stuff DEFINETLY covers all flaws. It's VERY thick and somewhat hard to blend out. Once you figure out how to best blend it onto your flaws and figure out what tricks work for you it makes a perfect concealer. Yes, it can be somewhat cakey but like I said just figure out what tricks work best for you and you got yourself a very nice concealer for a pretty good price. I picked mine up at Walmart for around $4.99-$5.99.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush - Pink Passion
rated 4 of 5
merin44 3/12/2012 12:50:00 PM

Of course out of all the blushes in the studio section I was attracted to the bright pink one. I love this blush. I think the fact that its only three bucks kinda scares people off and makes them think its cheap and not a quality blush but I actually think its great. I combine it with my bronzer and it creates a great contour/pink cheek look. The color might not work for everyone but it did for me. Worth a try for only three bucks.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Green Tea Scrub
rated 5 of 5
merin44 3/12/2012 12:39:00 PM

Ive been a fan of St. Ives apricot scrub for a while but do find that it can be a bit much if you use it everyday and seeing as you aren't supposed to exfoliate everyday I was looking for a product as gentle as the apricot scrub just with less exfoliating beads I suppose. I came across this green tea scrub and liked that it was by St.Ives so i gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did because I absolutely love this stuff. It's so gentle and yet so effective. The exfoliating beads in it are so gentle but leave you with such a clean fresh feeling. I have noticed redness reduction as well. The smell is great too. Overall just a great product.

Shampoo -John Frieda - Full repair shampoo
rated 1 of 5
merin44 3/12/2012 12:33:00 PM

You would think that a product that has the words "Full Repair" on it would do more repairing than damage wouldn't you? Well not in this case. I needed a shampoo for my color treated hair and turned to this one. It claims to repair damage from heating tools and coloring. It did none of that. In fact I would say it made my hair in worse condition than it was before I stared using it. It creates no lather, even if you use more than half of the bottle, it leaves my hair EXTREMELY dry and brittle, it smells bad, and it doesn't preserve color at all. It made my hair so dry and brittle that I cant blow dry or straighten for fear of it breaking off even more than it already has. Definitely wont re-purchase.

Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences-Color Me Happy
rated 2 of 5
merin44 3/12/2012 12:28:00 PM

I had to use this conditioner with an open-mind. I know everyone's hair is different and reacts to products differently. That being said, this conditioner really did not do anything for me. I have colored hair, (obvi) and thought hey lets give this a try. I think what attracted me to it was the pink bottle and I love anything pink, but the product just does nothing for me. Color was not preserved, hair was not shiny, or even soft. The smell isn't even all that great. I wasn't expecting to be like in the commercials yelling "oh yes yes yes!" but I just wasn't impressed by it at all. The price is cheap and so is the product in it. Won't re-purchase, plain and simple.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
rated 3 of 5
merin44 3/12/2012 12:20:00 PM

In general its a great mascara, is it the best one I've ever used? No way. The gold tube is fun to look at. The product itself is okay. I coat it with another mascara for an over the top look. It does flake a little bit throughout the day but its really not a big deal, just swipe it off with a q-tip or tissue. I cant say it creates a false lashes look but everyone is different so maybe what doesn't work for me will work for you. The price is somewhat steep for the result you get but I'm a sucker for the gold tube so I'll probably be re-purchasing.

Concealers -Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Spot Concealer
rated 4 of 5
merin44 3/12/2012 12:12:00 PM

Pretty good coverage at first, over time it does seem to dry out and cake up on your face. Wont last that long if you have a lot to cover on a daily basis like me. I bought mine a month ago in Light and already need to buy a new one. Price is somewhat okay, would like to see a little more product in the tube though. Like i said it does cake up over time. When I first used it I was really impressed, had great coverage. Just seemed to fizzle out once it dried up. Probably will but it again seeing as it is the best "drugstore" concealer I've come across.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 15 Normal/Dry Skin
rated 3 of 5
merin44 4/7/2011 2:14:00 PM

I usually wear MAC NC20 studio fix ( both liquid and powder ) but I heard that this product gives you the same results for a lower price so I thought I would try it out just to see if what people were saying was in fact true They have some variety in shades Ill give them that, but most of the shades all look the same. The thing about this product is if you dont know how to apply your foundation correctly its going to look oh so bad on you. It dries very fast so you need to stipple it on pretty fast. It has a really strong smell to it. The best way to describe it is that it smells like makeup. When I applied it and went to hug my boyfriend he immedietly smelled my face and asked what the heck I did to it. The coverage is comparable to MAC studio fix foundations. Its not as good but it does come close. However I feel that MAC does last longer. Overall if your budget friendly and dont want to pay 25 for MAC then this is your next option. As for myself I'll stick to MAC. I think its worth it.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream
rated 5 of 5
merin44 4/7/2011 2:13:00 PM

so I read countless reviews on here before buying this product. Latley my skin has been pretty dry due to the temp change and season change. I didnt want to purchase a really harsh moisturizer with alot of sulfate in it so I went with this one. I believe I paid $5.67 for it. At a really good price I was hoping for really good results and thats exactly what I got. You dont need to put a lot on, a little goes a long way. It feel really cool on my skin and it drys pretty fast. Theres a slight scent to it actually smells good. It really helped my dry skin and I have very sensitive skin so thats saying something. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

Blush -Maybelline - Expert Wear Blush in Pinch O Pink
rated 3 of 5
merin44 4/6/2011 5:29:00 PM

I bought this about a year ago and I still have some left surprisingly. I love the pink shade its pretty bright and is perfect for summer. It blends well with any bronzer so you can create a really nice contouring look. It comes with a little brush but I threw it away because its a piece of crap. The blush is great just dont keep it as long as I did because it does get a little dry and starts to crumble. All in all, great blush, goes on really nice and great price. I think I payed 4 bucks for it at Walmart.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal
rated 4 of 5
merin44 4/6/2011 5:24:00 PM

I use the Glam black and as I say in most of my reviews I bought the waterproof becaue I didnt read the package before buying it. Im throughly impressed. I had no clumping, flakes, or smearing. It provides enough volume for just one coat. The brush is pretty thick so you can be sure its getting pretty much all your lashes. The price is well worth it but like I say for all you bargain shoppers you might want to wait for it to go on sale because for some it is a bit pricey.
