Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Fergie Take the Stage
menacexofxvanity 4/28/2013 1:02:00 AM
I don't really have much complaint. The color is beautiful, though it looks more purple in the bottle but comes out a bright fuscia when applied. The formula is glitter, and though it will look beautiful applied over a color I used two coats on its own and came out really bright. One thing I really like are the silver flakes in the polish actually show up on the nail. After a day it started chipping so I'm not sure if I'll purchase again.

Top/Base Coats -Revlon - Extra Life Top Coat

It's pretty typical. Didn't do anything extraordinary to my nails. Super cheap. Doubt I'll re-purchase.

Polishes -Sinful - Why Not
menacexofxvanity 4/26/2013 5:33:00 PM
I love Sinful Colors! I have several of them. Their colors are gorgeous and so long lasting! This color in particular is a bright yet lighter shade of blue. My biggie with this was how long it lasted. With two coats and the Revlon top coat protector, it lasted me four days! Will definitely re-purchase and will continue to use Sinful Colors!

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm
menacexofxvanity 4/26/2013 5:30:00 PM
This is a great gloss. I bought it in Scarlet Twist, which is a bright red. The color is beautiful and the formula is moisturizing and long lasting. With the packaging, the whole gloss came out during one of my first uses. I probably won't re-purchase this gloss in particular, but I'll probably look to another Cover Girl formula because I love how long lasting and moisturizing their lip products are.

Pressed Powders -Sonia Kashuk - bare minimum pressed powder
menacexofxvanity 1/21/2013 11:19:00 PM
I really like this stuff. It's a good shade, lasts all day, applies lightly, and looks natural. My only issue is, or at least with Target, you can't open the product and it doesn't give you swatches to test on. You gotta judge by the shade which will look best with your skin. Luckily mine is easy to match up, but I'm wondering about the other skin tones that are more unique than mine. Also, or at least when I went to Target, they had maybe three shades. Once again, my skintone is easy to match up but I know others' are more difficult.

Blush -Sonia Kashuk - Beautifying Blush - Spice
menacexofxvanity 1/21/2013 11:14:00 PM
I've been looking for a beautiful red blush for awhile! When I saw my Sonia Kashuk coupon and the great reviews the beautifying blush got on MUA, my decision was made! The color is gorgeous; a flushed looking red. Not overbearing. I think the name "spice" suits the color very well. The lasting power is also incredible, lasts all night! That's better than the Sephora brands I tried! Will definitely repurchase, even a pink and peach color!

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Blackheart Liquid Glitter Eyeliner
menacexofxvanity 12/30/2012 11:00:00 PM
After looking for new glitter eyeliner, I came across this brand. It's the new cosmetics line by Hot Topic. Cruelty-free and vegan so that's a plus. It's been compared to Heavy Metal Eyeliner by Urban Decay and I can honestly say I like this better. These Hot Topic eyeliners are $5 a bottle and the UD are maybe $20 a bottle, and the HT ones give you so much more product and last just as long as the UD ones. They occasionally flake but that's typical with anything glitter. They also wash off easily with water, which could be a pro or con. Just an FYI, don't use this with eyeliner (unless glitter liner is applied after) and be careful with mascara because you could find little glitter bits everywhere. I got the red, silver and purple. The red looked beautiful, I'll try the silver and purple and fill you all in.

Eyeliner -Milani - Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliner
menacexofxvanity 12/30/2012 10:47:00 PM
This product is overall good. Several pros and cons. Well for one, I love Milani products. Inexpensive and work so many wonders! I was wearing MAC Liquidlast Liner before I found Milani eyeliner. I loved how MAC Liquidlast turned out DARK in one sweep and lasted all night. And even though the tube is small, it lasted months. Unfortunately they discontinued it awhile back, but I somehow found this incredible eyeliner. Same thing but a fraction of MAC's cost. Ever since then Milani liquid liner has been my HG. Well, one night I went to CVS because my tube fell on the floor and wasn't good anymore, but they were all out of the liquid liner I usually get, but I saw they had plenty of the eye tech pen. I figured it was worth a try. I like it, but not as much as the liquid liner I usually get. I'll explain why: Pros - first and foremost, it's a pen. Easy application. The liquid liner's brush is very flimsy. Takes a lot of getting used to. Even with it being a pen, the formula lasts all night. And on top of that, it dries easy/ The liquid liner takes minutes to dry. This is also cheaper than the eyeliner. I think mine was $7.75 or something. Cons - I hate how it takes several coats to come out dark. You have to shake the crap out of it to get product out, then apply a few coats to get that BLACK liner. With the liquid liner, literally one sweep. You actually have to wipe off the brush because there's too much product on it. I'll update with how long this lasts and other information. I'm gonna use up the whole bottle but I'll stick with the liquid liner. I also don't use eyeliner on my bottom lash so I'm not sure how other users felt about this part. I put I wouldn't repurchase but if I see the liquid liner is out I'll get the pen again. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied and will recommend this product to others.

Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
menacexofxvanity 12/22/2012 1:18:00 AM
I really wanted to like this product. For such a cheap price this powder really did a great finish and blended very well. Unfortunately, I have acne prone skin and I noticed I was breaking out. It could be due to stress but I'm going to try another brand of pressed powder.

Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes
menacexofxvanity 11/30/2012 10:52:00 AM
I got this sample with the reward points I received in Sephora. It's not bad at all, but nothing worth going crazy over. Does exactly what Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash does. I'll have to research prices see which one is cheaper. But for now, I'll keep the sample as an extra for any days I run out of mascara or leave it at a friend's house.

Liquid -Urban Decay - Naked Skin
menacexofxvanity 11/10/2012 10:33:00 PM
I liked this product a lot. I work at JC Penney and I was in the Sephora shop looking for a new foundation. I read good reviews on this foundation and the girl gave me samples. Still not sure what my color is because they didn't give me samples in all colors, but I'm either a 2.5 or 3.0. Overall, this product stayed well, I didn't breakout or anything, blended very well. I would say its coverage is medium, which is fine for me because I just need to even out my skintone. All I need covered is undereye circles which I cover with compact powder. And apparently there's a primer in the formula so that's great. It's $38 at Sephora, but my mom gave me a bottle of Revlon Colorstay which works well so far so I'll stick with that since it's cheaper and if I experience any issues with that I'll switch back to the UD! EDIT: Colorstay made me break out so I bought this foundation. My color is a 3.0. I'm pale with yellow undertones to my skin so it works perfectly. It is $38, but the bottle is an ounce which is a decent size for foundation, and you really only need a little bit since it spreads so generously. It's a great foundation that will last you a long time.

Hair -Got 2 Be - Rockin' It Encore Fresh Dry Shampoo
menacexofxvanity 9/12/2012 11:23:00 PM
Overall this dry shampoo is very good. It dries up my oil a lot better than Suave did. It loses a lippie because the white film is REALLY bad. You have to really dig in to get it out. If anyone with dark hair like mine uses this product be very gentle with spraying because if you spray too much your hair will turn gray. I'll probably find a new dry shampoo to use but overall I'll repurchase.

Powder -Sephora - Matifying Powder Foundation
menacexofxvanity 8/22/2012 1:54:00 PM
I love powder foundations. It's like a 2-in-1 for me. I love the natural finish and the coverage without the pore clogging and dewy residue. I was using Bare Escentuals for awhile but I could have sworn they decreased the size and kept them at the same price. The Sephora employee recommended me this powder foundation, and I'm glad she did! Has great coverage and evens out my skintone. I use concealer so I don't need anything too powerful when it comes to foundation, so this quality at this price ($20 for the compact and it's a decent size) is perfect! Highly recommend for anyone who desires light coverage.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Liquid Eyeliner
menacexofxvanity 8/22/2012 1:40:00 PM
This eyeliner isn't BAD, there are just better ones. It is long lasting and doesn't run. My friend got the green sparkly one and it looks absolutely gorgeous! My issue is the black. You literally have to shake the crap out of it to really get the color. I feel Milani's liquid eyeliner tops this; it's cheaper, long-lasting, and the color is BLACK BLACK BLACK! But I also got this Sephora liner in purple so I'll update this review after using that one. EDIT: So I tried the violet, and the night I used it I went into the bathroom while spending a few hours at the venue, and my eyeliner was gone. Just, gone! I didn't rub my eyes the whole night and it wasn't overly hot in the venue. My best friend's makeup still looked perfect. I didn't know what happened. She recommended next time to use a few more coats. I used the violet today and coming home from class it still looks really good so my best friend's advice helped. Probably won't repurchase because there are probably better eyeliners in a beautiful purple color.

Treatments -Matrix - Total Results Color Care Miracle Treat 12 Lotion Spray
menacexofxvanity 8/22/2012 1:33:00 PM
I got this as a free sample when I got my hair done at the JC Penney salon. At the salon I had this beautiful fuchsia color put in. Though it's salon quality, colors like that tend to fade easy. I love how this moisturizes your hair while locking in your color. With the bleach (my hair was blue before and had to be bleached out) my hair was a bit damaged. My hair feels smooth and the color looks gorgeous every time I use it. Another plus it that it doesn't weigh down hair. Though I had thick hair it's not frizzy or too damaged so smoothing products tend to weigh down my hair. I'm thinking about trying out the shampoo and conditioner; I'm using Nexxus and it's good but doesn't lather well. Anyone with colored hair I recommend this product to!
