fabulous. i love the citrus and wood combination. it is warming, evolving, an experience all its own.
this was a disappointment for me. i found it very imbalanced, too powerful, and not at all representative of sandalwood.
Gels/Soaps -Kiss My Face - Olive Oil and Honey Soap
meme527 10/15/2007 7:46:00 PM
this is my "default" soap - i think it's the best in the world and thank goodness, trader joe's carries it regularly. this is the cheapest luxury item i own, and whenever i smell it i feel like i am doing something good for myself. it lathers up well, without being overly foamy, and combination of oil and honey gets all the dead skin cells and dirt off your skin. i've tried the whole line (chamomile, aloe, etc) and they are ALL good - but honey is just the bomb.
this is the best experience of a fragrance that i have ever had. i had several people who were inexperienced with fragrances try it, and not only did they all fall in love with it, but it smelled differently on each person after 30 minutes, and again after an hour and a half. it has a real, living, breathing quality that makes it an absolute essential for me.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless Color Lipstick in Saucy Sangria
meme527 9/24/2007 12:52:00 AM
I always have a tube of this. It's a classic red, which may go in and out of style, but will always be something I return to. My skin tone is somewhere darker than Halle Berry, maybe around Beyonce - not sure how you find that out, go to a MAC counter or something? - and for me, this lipstick works.
this is a "must have" for me. i can't go out without lipstick or something on my mouth, and for several years i had one of these in my purse, in the bathroom, in the car - it was my "default' lipwear! the smell and taste are heavenly - sweet and warm. the color is great on my cafe-au-lait/cocoa skin. i could just put it on casually, without aid from a mirror, and not worry that it was all over my mouth because it is so sheer. and, of course, just my luck; i can't find this line in las vegas. if anyone knows of a place in this god-forsaken desert town that carries trucco, i would be grateful for the lead.:D thanks!
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Lip Glide Lip Gloss with sponge applicator [DISCONTINUED]

i know revlon doesn't put much effort into the smell and taste of their lipsticks, so i generally avoid the brand. if something is going to be sitting on my lips and right under my nose it had better be neutral - pleasant tasting/smelling at the very least. but these stink, unfortunatly. i tried two of these at a two-for-one sale. they smell like some less biting relative of garlic gone off, and i love real garlic, but this is awful. i like the sponge applicator, generally. but i won't repurchase.
well, i am not usually wishy washy, but i keep going back and forth about this. it has many moods, some of them downright cheap. when you initially put it on, it is SO strong - and i am not a shy perfume girl, i love chyphre, woods, orientals. i think it is the cedar that is somehow offensive. there is a smell that is just dirty here. and in the middle there is some odd chemical that wakes me up, like a hum/buzz in the background. but when it warms up, i smell vanilla, and that smoky incense. i love cardomom, and was hoping i'd get a very clear hit of that, but the spices are enveloped in something sweet. this is the most androgynous scent i've used, and it is new to me - i just got it today. i'll wear it tomorrow with the proper attire and see how it grows.
at first, i didn't "get" this perfume. my first impression was tha tit was a bit sweet for me, in a way that gave me a pleasant memory of someone ffrom my childhood, someone grown-up who was the kind of woman i wanted to become, someday. but when i put it on my skin i became amazed at how it developed. it is warm and spicy like a ripened fruit in the sun. i don;t like the brand in general but i love this perfume. already i can't imagine myself without it.
Moisturizers -Orlane - Claircilane - Hydro Clarifying Cream

funny, i also got this very cheap at tjmaxx, and i wish they would get some in again because i love it. i had no idea it was supposed to be a lightening creme when i bought it, and i'm glad i didn't know. it has been marvelous for me, and it smells delicious. i am going to miss it when it's gone!
Treatments -L'Oreal - ReNoviste Anti-Aging Glycolic Peel Kit
meme527 6/9/2005 8:41:00 PM
i had a great experience with this product. my skin is probably best described as normal, and not overly sensitive - i would hesitate to recommend this product to anyone with very sensitive skin. but i used it every three days or so and could see results after the first treatment. my skin was noticeably smoother, reflecting light, and clearer than before. i will definitely buy it again.
I really love this fragrance, but i am not surprised to find myself in the minority. It is distinctive, almost "food-y" in its lack of subtlety, like being in the kitchen when something spicy is on the stove. But I find that quality nurturing, almost grounding. Eventually it becomes quite warm on me.
These sheer lipsticks are the best. I buy three or four if I can so that I never run out. My favorite color is "Stained" - a wonderful natural red. They taste divine - and anyone you kiss will agree.
