Mascara -MAC - Zoom Fast Black Lash

This is my first try at any MAC products and I am very impressed. I like that it is very black, but it also holds a curl very well. I already have long lashes but i have to use a curler to make them look nice; I had been using Lancome hypnose waterproof which also held a great curl but was wayyyy too hard to remove at the end of the day! I gave this a 4 because i wish it gave more volume, and i have noticed that at the end of the day it starts to show up on the bottom of my eyes; but like I said at least it is at the end of the day once i am home. I will probably continue to repurchase until I find another great mascara. For the price, I think you should try it.

I love this product, I just wish I could have discovered it earlier! I hate wearing makeup, since i live in the deep south Texas humid and hot weather, I just hate the way it feels. This product does not feel heavy, but covers very well for me; i too like the natural look. I have not had any breakouts since using this, i have been wearing it for a little over a month. I can see that this might not be very good for those with dry skin, but if you have combiniation/oily skin it is great. you can even re-apply w/o looking cakey! All i do is put on some concealor and then apply this and im out the door. I wish this company could come out with more all natural make-up, I would definitly re-purchase; if i ever need to!

Masks -Origins - Clear Improvement

THis is a great mask, but i only use it where i have blackheads, nose & apples of my cheeks, and this makes it last much longer; than when i used to use it all over. I use it about 3 times a week on those areas and it really keeps my blackheads at bay (when i feel like giving myself an at home spa day i will use it all over :)). when its drying you can see little tubes forming under the mask, i think this is the junk being drawn out of my skin. definitly worth the price, in my opinion. It is kind of hard to take off when you use it all over but this is what i do to feel like i am at a spa and i feel like pampering myself: 1: warm some water on the stove, soak a hand towel in it, wring it out, and place on your face. 2. lay back and relax for about 5 mins, to open the pores. 3. place towel back in bucket of warm water to soak while you use the mask. 4. spread mask all over and lay back and relax (or take a nap) to let the mask harden and cleanse your pores....with some nature music (optional) i also usually have my feet soaking in a foot spa as well 5. after about 45 mins or so (when i wake up) i will wring out the towel from the warm water and lay it on my face for another 10 mins or so, this helps to re-moisten the mask for easier removal and just feels really nice. 6. then i will wash my face with warm water and be really relaxed and rejuvenated Sometimes i do this on a saturday or sunday when i am feeling stressed out from a week of working with elementary age children!

I'm glad i am not the only one who did not have any results from this product. i only tried it because it was on sale, and now i know why! THis weighed down my baby thin hair and made it look greasy within an hour. THe trigger spray is weird to use and aim, i always sprayed the wrong area or on my forehead; didnt like that. i tried it on both wet and dry hair the effect was the same, limp hair no volume at all....i had high hopes but was disappointed, my quest for a volumizer continues.....will stay away from other products from samy

I decied to try the dickenson's product due to the great reviews here and how could i say no to something that only cost 2 bucks, especially in this economy......first off the smell is HORRIBLE......i thought i could get over it as long as it worked, but for my skin it did nothing which saddens me ;( after getting over the smell and putting it on my face at night, it felt like i had some grime or film left on my skin, and then it would dryout very quickly. its not for me but i say give it a try for only 2 bucks maybe it will work for you....it seems to work for many but not for me

I love this product, i used to love lorel's voluminous mascara but recently it has been flaking and smearing under my eyes after a long day at school (im a teacher) so i decided to try a more expensive brand to see if it would work any better. I went to the lancome department and i am glad that i did.....I am in love with this mascara! I have long thick lashes and i like a mascara that curls and gives volume and this one does. I dont even have to curl my lashes anymore. THis one holds a curl all day long and does not smear. Ive been wearing it for a week now and i have not found any problems with it. i have it in the waterproof and i think next time i will try it as the regular one. I took off one lippie because of the difficulty of taking it off with eye makeup remover designed for waterproof mascara. im gonna try using baby wipes as one person has recommended. I will update if anything changes. UPDATE: 11/28/2008==> I have been using this for over a month and i still love it, i still plan to try it in the regular formula. THe only eyemakeup remover that seems to work at removing this is the lancome bi-facil. I guess that is how they get you to spend more money, but i do love it and it is worth the money to me. It does seem to be gradually becoming more and more drier as the days go on; im hoping that i can atleast get 3months out of one tube so that the price does not seem so bad.

Misc Beauty Tools -La Cross - Heated eyelash curler

Bought this on a whim because i love the way my lashes come out with a regular eyelash curler i was curious about a heated one. This is the first one i have tried and it was only $8 on sale at walgreens. It works very well, but i find it does better when i curl mylashes and then use the heated one to soften and keep the curl longer. i have noticed that my lashes stay curled much longer using the heated one instead of just using a regular one. it uses a triple A battery and heats pretty fast and comes in a cute carrying case. i am pretty happy so far with it but i can not speak of the durability becasue i havent had it that long, will update if something happens.

I originally bought this product because i had seen a laura geller baked eyeliner in a black green color and i wanted to get it because she kept saying that green and violet look good on brown eyes. i went to walgreens and saw it on sale and decided to buy it on a whim! I am sooooo glad that I did, it looks beautiful. it makes my brown eyes pop, i just hope i can find it in a purple color. the teal color is beautiful and there is just enough sparkle for that extra pop. it is a little hard to put on, not very smooth but as other people have mentioned just hit it with a quick burst of hot air from the blowdryer. i recommend this for those who want to venture away from the basic brown and black eyeliner like myself. also if you do not like it, you only spent 2 bucks a steal in my opinion.

I have been wanting to buy this product since it came out but i just never did, then after reading he reviews (thanks MUA members you have never steered me wrong :) ) i decided to finally go out and purchase it since i had a wedding to be in and i wanted great skin (i suffer from combination skin that gets congested with white heads and little bumps no real big acne problems, except hormonal). I couldnt wait to try it and after the first use i could tell a huge difference, my skin was soooo soft, i couldnt believe it. The scrub is very effective and when you put on the serum there is a slight warming sensation but it is not bad at all. i have only rated it a 4 because i have only used this product twice and although i have seen a difference in my skin it has not been long enough to make sure it really does work. So far no new breakouts and the bumps seem to be going away. i will update in a couple of weeks

LOVE IT!!!!!! i usually use loreal voluminous but i decided to try something new and i think i like this better because of the brush. it is like one of those huge teddybear brushes, nice and fat but the bristles are nice and hard to keep your lashes separate but coated. It does a great job at giving volume and lift, much better than the regular volume express. I also do not get any clumps like i occassinally get with voluminous, i have been using this for about a week now and love it. if you need volume like I do, i have thin but long lashes, then you will love this product. the price alone is worth trying b/c if you do not like it its not like you have spent over $20.

I bought this product because of reading the labels and seeing that it was free of so many bad chemicals and i thought surely it would begood for my skin........NOOOOOOOO.....the only good thing about this product isthe smell, like oranges. It was way too drying and harsh for my skin and i have oily skin, i guess it would be good for very very oily skin. I used upthe bottle becasue it was so expensive and i do not believe in wasting products. Plusafter a while i think it started to break my skin out because of the excess drying

WOW....is all i can say about this product. I really like what it has done for my skin. I have oily combo skin that is acne prone and it has definitly cleared it up. I have been using it for about a week now because i recently had a huge break out, probably because of the stress of finals at school. I love the way my skin feels now, smooth and soft and moisturized (without having to put on moisturizer)! It has also cleared up the break outs, i have not had any new breakouts since using this. I had bought it on a whim to try something new and i am glad that i have, so far. I use both day and night. It does have a shimmer to it, but there is no shimmer left on your face or anything. It is also great at removing the makeup. I say give it a try, you might be glad you did. Ps i will update after having used this or a longer period of time

I kept seeing this product on the walmart shelf, and being a product junkie, i finally decided to give it a try when i ran out of my other mu removing cleanser by clean and clear. this stuff is horrible, it is in a cream form and it doesnt even get my nonwaterproof mascara. my face didnt even feel clean after i washed it. when i used my toner the cotton ball was full of makeup i had to use three cotton balls to get all of my makeup off. i dont even wear alot of makeup as i hate the feeling of it. i only used it once and then threw the bottle away.

This is a really natural looking product. i have very very sparse eyebrows, i dont even have to pluck then to keep them groomed b/c then i would have ablsolutely would have no eyebrows. i have gone years w/o wearing anything on my eyebrows and in all of my pictures it looks like something is missing... my eyebrows. finally i decided to invest in an eyebrow pencil. first finding the right shade is hard then it doenst look natural b/c you can see the drawings. if i was not light handed it looked i just took a brown marker and drew on eyebrows. i finally saw a tv show that was talking about the history of merle norman cosmetics and how they make them. so i decided to look to see how the products perform on MUA....and to my suprise almost all of the products rank very high. anyways this stuff is great and very natural looking and for only $13 USD its not bad to try plus if you dont like it you could trade it in for another great MN product. PS i usually shop at Sephora for my MU products and was going to buy another similar eyebrow product by another company for $30 USD thank goodness i didnt.

This is a pretty good product. the sponge stinks, i didnt even bother to try to use it with the foundation (thanks to the other reviewers who suggested to just rip it off...thank you) As soon as i got home i tore that sucker off, but it was pretty hard to do. I have been thinking about trying out this product but i was reluctant to pay so much for it. i had been wearing just the talc free loose powder but i wanted more coverage without the feel of stickyness. I finally decided to buy it b/c it was 40% off and there was a $2 off coupon on top of that so i only paid like $5 for it which was very reasonable. Im glad i did, it gives great coverage w/o the heavy stickiness like other foundations. It is very light feeling, sometimes i forget im wearing it and it lasts all day. i still need to blott after about 5hrs but that is good, for my skin, b/c usually after 2 hrs i need to blot (not joking, living in a humid place is no fun i cant wait for the dry winter...lol) i gave it a 4 rating b/c i did notice that it settled into the lines on the side of my nose which look kinda weird but i take care of that by applying a light moisturizer in that area only. Anyways when i first wore it to work my boss complimented me on my skin, which she had never done, and my other co workers as well complimented me. that was a first for me, i had never gotten compliments so im gonna keep wearing this until i find something else. ive been using it for about 2 weeks and have not noticed any new pimples or anything like that thank goodness
