I was looking to test out a new undereye concealer and bought this in light/medium. When first applied, the product went on really smoothly, but became hard to blend. A few minutes later, the product oxidized and turned dark pink -_-;;; with shimmer. Five minutes after application, my eyebags were even darker than before application. Maybe I got this in the wrong color? Or a dud? Did anyone else have this experience?
BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium

This bb cream was a no go for me. The stuff kept pooling in the cap if stored right side up. When i applied it, it went on smoothly, evened out skin tone and concealed really well, but it turned my face a whole shade lighter and pronounced my wrinkles and pores like no other. Got this i light/medium as medium/deep was too dark.
Polishes -E.L.F. - Holiday 14-piece Nail Cube - Limited Edition

I bought this set from target a few weeks ago, the array of colors caught my eye when I was passing by. It retails for $10, which brings it down to under a dollar for each bottle. The packaging it crazy bulky and unnecessary, probably a marketing strategy to make consumers think they're getting more than they're paying for. I LOVE the color choices, they're very pretty despite a couple of close almost-repeats (bright red vs deep red, cool taupe vs warm taupe). However, the formula is CRAP. No matter what base/top coat I used, the polish starts chipping almost immediately after it dries, and this runs true with all the other colors. Removing them is an absolute pain. You need a crap ton of polish remover and in the end, it still leaves a slight stain on your nails. If I had known this set would be this sucky, I would've kept the packaging so that I could return it. Definitely not worth the try.
I purchased this product in 04 True Nude and it is the best! The coverage is light-to-medium, so if you need a heavy-duty concealer I definitely would not recommend this(I've heard Hard Candy's Glamoflauge works wonders for heavy-duty). The shade is a bit light, but that works perfectly for lightening my undereye area. For the price, this concealer is just terrific. Definitely my HG! I read a review before-hand and heard that the product has fallen out of the tube before--- I'm completely okay with this considering the price point! I'll just re-melt the product (see fixing broken lipstick) and re-attach it. Definite repurchase.
Mascara -Maybelline - The Falsies Flared Waterproof
mellyru 7/1/2012 4:02:00 PM
I had my fingers crossed when I bought this product. I haven't done well with too many of the Maybelline mascaras in the past. I tried the original formula and it definitely failed. This one isn't so bad! I like the brush. It's thick and I thought that's where it would fail, but the curve, bristles and formula make it absolutely awesome. It comes with a flex joint in the wand, but I'm not sure that it does anything. The product is a bit wet, but not as wet as the original formula. There is some flaking, but not enough to bother me. The HUGE plus? Although waterproof, it's effortless to remove. I love it! I will definitely be repurchasing should I need more.
Lipstick -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Lipstick
mellyru 7/1/2012 3:44:00 PM
I purchased this in i<3nude for 8.99 from Ulta. I have the happy booster blush and thought since I loved it so much, maybe the other products from this line would be just as good. I think the packaging is adorable! I don't mind that the cap is slanted at all! Perhaps if they made a little niche where the cap meets with the lipstick (like the L'oreal Color Riche lipstick), the product would be less likely to get crushed. My only no-go is that the twist to get the product up or down is kind of jenky, you have to turn it a few times in order to get a bit of product. To my disappointment, this product is definitely not a nude color. It's kind of a pinky-coral color. I had to blend it quite a bit to get the product to mix properly, otherwise it would be three colored streaks across my lips. I don't know how I feel about the formula yet, but I will definitely keep trying it and see how it goes.
Eye Shadow -Unlisted Brand - Profusion Colour Me Glow 12 Shades Eyeshadow #3

Like the others on this page, I passed by the display many times and told myself, ''for 99 cents its probably not that good''. But after going to Walgreens for the umpteenth time, I caved and bought 01 and 03. Packaging is nice and simple, as sturdy as any plastic casing will be. So far so good--- swatches pretty awesome, goes on smooth and blends well, surprisingly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope the quality holds up! After all, it is just a buck!
This product has generally worked out pretty well for me. The results aren't super fabulous like UDPP, but of course, you have to keep in mind that you get what you paid for. The product only claims to prolong your eyeshadow wear, not make it vibrant and vamp it up like UDPP does. Also, I've noticed that it works great for some people and not for others. Luckily for me, this product has lasted me around a year (since I didn't really wear make-up as often as I do now). It wasn't until recently that I discovered the product stopped working =( I guess the shelf-life for this primer is definitely under a year!
I have yellow under-toned neutral skin and found that this color did not work on me, waaay to light for me even though I'm a huge fan of nudes. But that was my mistake on color choice, apparently colors are different in the store aisles than in open sunlight. Rimmel must have reformulated their lasting finish lipstick line, because I love the formula for its price, it's terrific! Goes on smooth and creamy, lasts forever! When it finally does start to fade, it leaves a soft kind of stained look, but DOESN'T stain, which is a huge plus. I own this in Airy Fairy and I absolutely adore it. Gonna see if I can return this and pick up a different color!
Where to begin . . . in tube, this color is perdy! It's a orangey, peachy color. It's terrific for people are into nudes but are looking for a tad bit of color. Before I get on with the review, I just want to state first hand that I do have pigmented lips, so any formula that is thin and sheer will not bode well. That is exactly what happened here. When I first applied, I like the color and thought, "Wow, it's kind of pearl sheened, not crazy frosty," so I was ok with it. But a closer look showed that the lipstick was actually sitting in the crevices of the fine lines of my lips. No matter how many times I tried to wear it, I just couldn't make it work. For someone with lighter, less pigmented lips, this would be perfectly, honestly. Will be returning this.
I chose to purchase this color since it was one of the brightest ones on display, so I expect the pigmentation to be just that. However, this product applies a bit sheer. It doesn't seem too build-able either despite the sheer quality . . . It's just $1 so its not a big deal, just a bit disappointed since the other colors I own are pretty good.
This shade is kind of a sheer, light pink with some violet undertones. When I swatched the color on my hand it was beautiful! But when I tried to apply to my lids, it was barely visible. I had the same issue with "Burgundy" as well. The color applied super sheer and came off as soon as I accidentally tapped it with my finger. The packaging is nice and simple, making it easy to store and doesn't waste too much plastic and the price is just $1 so its not too much of a loss. I own some other colors in these shadows and do not have this problem with them at all! The color is so pretty but I just can't seem to make it work. Does anyone else have the same issue? Possibly a solution?
This product is just $1! I purchased it at Sally Beauty Supply store near the registers where all the $1 Sally Girl stuff is. The feeling of this reminds of Maybelline Baby Lips in 'Quenched' and keeps my lips hydrated for FOREVER! I'm surprised that I didn't pick this product up sooner. It's tiny, fits anywhere and works great. Try to stop me from repurchasing if you dare!
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection - Petal Pusher (736)
mellyru 4/19/2012 8:16:00 PM
So, the colors in the palette aren't as soft as the other palettes. But, the color payoff renders that irrelevant =) And the previous reviewer is right, it is DIFFICULT to find super wearable purples and these are some of the best colors to wear regularly. I'm extremely pleased with the colors and the way it applies! Will repurchase should I ever run out!
You will not find a better matte palette then this one! I'm mighty disappointed that they discontinued this and pray that they will make it permanent! Or at least returning seasonal. The formula of the shadows are super soft, as always for the 8-pans, the colors are way pigmented. You get great basic colors to work with and a pretty good amount to. I try not to use this palette too often since I want it to last me!
