Polishes -Essie - Pink Diamond
rated 5 of 5

GREAAAAAAT color. Need two coats because its just a TAD sheer. But its also a great color for work because its feminine and girly yet very pulled back and not flashy or distracting. It makes your nails look polished and neat. However, I do have some problem with streaking if I'm not careful! would DEF repurchase

Polishes -Essie - Mademoiselle

This is a GREAT nail polish but for only a certain kind of person/ occasion. This polish doesn't exactly show up on my nails. It's just very shiny with just a hint of a color. It's exactly what I need for a professional work environment because it makes your nails look GOOD but not like casual and fun I guess. If you're looking for color on your nails, steer clear of this one but its really good if you have a business professional dress code and specially for interviews!

Cleansers -Lancome - Eau Micellaire Douceur - Express Cleansing Water for Face, Eyes, Lips
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 6/21/2012 7:54:00 AM

I think I've used this long enough to write a review. This is not my cleanser or anything but I use it on lay days to wipe dirt away from my face if I don't want to cleanse. Also great for summertime because I find it cooling/refreshing so I like to go over my face with this on a cottonpad. Also great at taking makeup off. Nothing too heavy duty like water proof mascara but the basic foundation/lipstick/etc. But ahhh, the price! Too much! I don't want to buy ill probably repurchase it (which will be soon because im 75% of the way through my bottle) because it serves so many good purposes :( will be constantly on the look out for cheaper dupes though!!!!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

AMAXING moisturizer for dry skin!!! It's not going to provide you moisture all day but at least for 5/6 hours it keeps my skin feeling soft and baby like! The only problem is that iys in a jar so some of you germo-phobes would have to get a spatula! I'm fine using my fingers though :)

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua

love it! im surprised that this has been a miss for so many people. i love that it's water based and i think it offers a very fair amount of coverage. it evens out my skintone and it doesn't get rid of the redness on my cheeks/around my nose but it does cover it a bit and with the help of mufe conealer in #8, im able to get rid of it completely. lasts a very long time and i love that it doesnt draw attention to the dry patches on my skin. really love it. i'm nc40/42 and have this in b50 and i think it matches perfectly. will repurchase. and remember to shake it well before each use?!!! EDIT: YEEEAH, its just not that great anymore. Maybe its a light foundation you want for summer but it kind of dries you up during winter...esp if you have dry skin like me.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - retractable kabuki
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 4/13/2012 8:06:00 PM

The most underrated brand of brushes id say. They're ALL SO SOFT!!!!!!!!!!!! this kabuki is REALLY dense and very soft. VERY comparable to MAC in that sense. If I had to go back in time and purchase only one, it would be this kabuki over MAC's. if aything, it's a little TOO dense sometimes because I like my bllush to be VERY light and subtle. This can pick up a little too much color sometimes...but usually it works out perfectly. Highly recommend!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 4/12/2012 10:43:00 PM

LOVE! It does have a kind of waxy feeling so if you don't like that then I def dont suggest this balm. I like it WAY better than EOS (which I own as well, but mainly for the cute packaging). This balm keeps my lips hydrated for the LONGEST TIME. it makes lipstick/gloss application much smoother but I wouldn't say it really fills in the lines on my lips all that well. I love the pomegranate smell and the fact that it lasts forever. A staple! kind of pricey I think but i prefer this over chapstick so I'm willing to shell out the 6 bucks (since it lasts so long).

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Shadow in SWF
rated 3 of 5
megabookfreak 4/10/2012 1:00:00 AM

I love the cute, unique packaging but that's about it. This products isn't horrible or anything, it's just too much to pay for what you get. Like: *The color!!! Main reason why I got it. It's a beautiful, nude pink on my NC42 skin *pigmentation. This is a HIGHLY pigmented eyeshadow! one swipe is all you need for both eyes Dislike: *Lasting power- i didn't use it with udpp and it lasted maybe an hour or so until the color start to kinda turn muddy. had i used it with udpp however, it probably would've lasted me only a little bit longer. *THE FALLOUT- main dislike!!! it just falls out. lol I put it on gently with my mac brush and no matter how hard i try, it seems to fall on my cheeks every time! *the glitter!!! i don't mind a little shimmer in my eyeshadows but this is straight up GLITTER. and because of the fall out, i get those light reflecting specks of glitter on my cheek that makes my look fake when I go outside. ewww. I said I wouldn't buy this product again mainly because of the glitter/fallout but if that doesn't bother you, this color is amazing and very blendable/easy to work with. I also hear UD is reformulating its eyeshadows so hopefully this new formula will take care of these problems. I'd rather spend the money, for now, on a dupeable MAC eyeshadow which will eb a few dollars cheaper and also better quality.

Lip Gloss -Christian Dior - Creme de Gloss Creamy Rose (441)
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 3/26/2012 11:07:00 PM

PRICE: 28 dollars. Heart Attack Inducing. OMG!!!!! i LOVEEEEE this gloss. it's not sheer, which I actually like. The ocnsistency is gloss like but it's more like a lipstick or lipstain because it looks SO natural. Not drying at all and this color is absoloutly BEAUTIFUL against my nc42 skin. i just don't know where to find it anymore! :((

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot - Groundwork
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 3/7/2012 2:57:00 PM

HG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Recieved it in a swap. Wasn't expecting much but this was simply awesome. I have NC40/42 skin (south asian) and this color looks FABULOUS on me. Color: It's looks like a light chocolate milk brown. Consistency: It's a cream...very creamy haha Staying power: Lasts a REALLY long time. Today, I'd had it on for maybe 4 hours so far and theres been no creasing or anything like that. Best for: everyday where! I literally wear this everyday! haha and if you office is conservative but makeup is allowed, then this is defintiely something to wear. What I like best: It's so fast to put on and easy to blend. Whenever I wake up late, I just swipe this on my eyes in like 2 seconds and my face is transformed! What i don't like: the price. If I could find a dupe for this color in cream form, I'd def start buying that! This is going to last me a REALLY long time but still I'd hate spending that kind of money for a casual, everyday wear kind of thing. Repurchase? YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! Even thought it'll kill me a little bit, I dont see any dupes of comparable quality so this is a staple for me. Def HG material. MAC's got the right idea with this one ;)

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Pinch Me
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 2/20/2012 9:58:00 AM

Oh my! This blush looks AMAZING on my nc40/42 skin. It's a not too dark pinky color on me and it gives me that natural flushed look so it almost doesn't even look like I'm wearing any blush. When I swatched this color I didn't like it but on my cheeks it looks amazing. One of the few blushes I'd spend 20 bucks on!

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 2/14/2012 10:53:00 AM

I've been using this ONE concealer for a few months now. I used to have a love-hate relationship with it because I just couldn't get the application down because when I applied it just with my fingers it looked a flaky and uneven. But I've finally figured it out! What I do: soak my beauty blender from ulta (not the original beauty blender- i think it's a fake remake) for a few seconds, squeeze out excess, dip the point side of it into the concealer and then just simply apply it under my eyes. I pat it in I do not rub because I think this reduces streaking, This way it doesn't creep into my fine lines or anything like that. My undereye circles aren't HORRIBLE but they certainly stand out and I think this concealer REALLY brightens them. I think there's different ways to apply this concealer and each person will probably figure out their own method that's best for them. I went through like 40% of this concealer until I really got the application down which kind of sucks but I think in the end it was worth it. Definitely will be repurchasing. South Asian Girl With NC42 Skin in case anyone was wondering :)

Fragrances -Versace - BRIGHT CRYSTAL
rated 5 of 5
megabookfreak 2/3/2012 4:46:00 PM

The only thing I don't love is the packaging because the bottle looked cute in the picture but it feels kind of cheap when you hold it because the top is made of plastic I think. But I love the sweet, Gorky scent. It's def a young gfragrance and I thInk suitable for both night and day. Lasted like 2 hrs strong and then started to fade away and was pretty much gone by 4-5 yard so I'd say it had pretty decent lasting power. Go buy it! :)

Fragrances -Lancome - Tresor In Love
rated 4 of 5
megabookfreak 2/2/2012 9:20:00 PM

I am terrible when it comes to describing scents but I know this is a floral scent. It's not too young where it smells like cherries or something. Nor do i feel it is as mature as stella or chanel no 5. It's somewhere in the middle. I'd wear it in the day and it doesn't last THAT long but I certainly think it lasts at least three hours or so. But you can tell the smell is fading as the hours pass by but I still love it and will re-purchase. oh, and I think the bottle is pretty cute. nothing spectacular but it's nice :)
