I found this is useful for me only if i mix a small drop into my foundation or tinted moisturizer. For using alone, it is too runny and glittery for my taste. I will use up my sample but I would not purchase the full-size.
Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Pink Deluxe Oval Shadow Brush
meepo 1/8/2009 2:03:00 AM
This is a perfect brush for brow bone highlighting. I gently dab the brush in a light-colored shadow, then dab it right underneath the brow and blend it downwards. This technique is great for "cleaning up" the brow shape. I use this brush everyday for this purpose.
I don't know if I got a bad batch, but the scent. was. horrible. I threw away the sample packet after using it once because I could not stand the very strong, strange chemical(?) smell! I don't think I noticed that it did anything for my hair that was good enough for me to endure it.
I accidentally bought the regular squirt-bottled honey instead of the raw kind, and still decided to experiment with it. I've only tried it once as a face mask, and have gotten good results. The real use I have for honey, though, is as a "boost" for my conditioner and body wash. I often have a bottle of conditioner that works just okay; adding a few squirts of honey in the bottle will make it FABulously more effective in moisturizing my hair. This has been enough for me so far to be satisfied with honey, but I will most likely be turning to it often as a face mask during colder months.
Lip Treatments -Juice Beauty - SPF 15 Tinted Lip Moisturizer

I use these everyday on my lips for sun protection, moisture, and natural color. I'm very satisfied with how this performs and looks on me. It's great because I can apply this while I rush out the door and it instantly gives me a fresh, flattering color boost on my lips. I always have one in my purse or pocket.. I would definitely repurchase!
This is a great blush - for me, it's one of my everyday, go-to staples. I use this underneath Pinky as a base color on my cheeks for a nice, subtle bronze glow and a bit of contour. However, Terracotta looks great on its own as well.. I'm so happy with my NYX blushes!
I received a sample of this with my first Lush purchase the other day and have been trying it out at night, for several days. After the second day of use, I broke out in about 5-6 huge pimples on my face. I rarely get this many at once; usually just one or two at most, during that time of the month.. I'm hesitant to attribute the breakout completely to this moisturizer though, as it really hasn't been that long to make a fair judgment, BUT.. I'm very suspicious, in consideration of other reviewers' breakout experiences with this product. I have also been getting dry peel-y patches in the past few days, first on my nose and now on my chin. Even if the dryness wasn't caused by the product, it certainly isn't helping it any! So, for now, I'm not very impressed and will most likely not be purchasing again. Will update if anything gets better.
This is a gorgeous berry-plummy mauve that is flattering on my Asian yellow-toned skin. Very romantic and feminine.. I love it.
I was looking for a nice, soft coral.. and this looked amazing in the bottle.. it seemed like just what I was looking for! However, on my medium warm-toned skin, it's not as flattering as I'd hoped! :( Makes my hands look dirty, rather.. I'm sure it would look absolutely lovely on others.
Skincare - Body -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula jar
meepo 5/8/2008 4:39:00 AM
I had bought this (2nd tub) to use on my body, but it sort of sat around because I prefer to use the lotion during warmer months. Out of curiosity, I smoothed on a bit on my face and neck the other night -- and WOW. It is one of the most effective moisturizers I've ever used on my face! It has the most amazing texture, and leaves my slightly dry cheeks feeling QUENCHED. It feels great when I dab a bit on my lips too! I think this is quickly becoming one of my favorite Palmers products! :) I also find that even though all of the Palmers Cocoa Butter products share that chocolatey scent, some products smell more tolerable to me than others. For instance, the concentrated version of the cocoa butter lotion smells WAY too strong and artificial/chemical-y for my taste. This tub version, on the other hand, is one which the scent isn't bothersome to me at all. It smells comforting and is much more pleasant in my opinion.
Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E - Fragrance Free
meepo 4/25/2008 12:31:00 AM
This is the "fragrance free" version of the original favorite. I purchased this on drugstore.com because as much as I love the original version, sometimes I can do without the strong fragrance which I must admit I can get a bit tired of. I still get a slight hint of the fragrance in this version, but it is much less noticeable. I also get a sort of chemical-y smell from it which I don't like -- this also happened when I tried Bliss Naked Body Butter, which is also supposed to be fragrance free. In terms of effectiveness, though, it is awesome, just like the original.
Love this! It's wonderfully moisturizing, has an amazingly smooth & gliding texture, and a good scent. I actually don't mind the jumbo size, it feels very substantial going on my lips. I tried it once on some acne scars, and I could swear it did make my skin look a lot better in the morning! I haven't done it often though, bc I feel a bit weird about sharing this product between my lips and my face, but I will probably purchase two next time so that I can have a separate one for each purpose.
Toners -Thayers - Rose Petal Alcohol Free Witch Hazel
meepo 4/22/2008 10:25:00 PM
One of my favorite toners. I've sort of fallen in love with the soft, unique rose fragrance and it puts me in a good mood when I smell it (unfortunately for me, the scent dissipates quickly). It makes my skin feel clean and soothed without making it feel tight in the least bit. This is a simple, effective, wonderful product. I'm already running low on my second bottle now, as it's become an indispensable part of my skincare routine. The bottle isn't exactly what you'd consider 'chic' packaging, but I just think it's adorable.
Lotions/ Creams -Queen Helene - Mango and Coco Butter Lotion
meepo 4/22/2008 10:09:00 PM
I love this! I really liked Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula for how it softened my skin, but I was growing a bit tired of the scent. This lotion seems to be just as effective, but the scent is tart & fruity with just a hint of cocoa butter. I thought I might get tired of this too, but so far I'm just loving it! Cheaper than Palmers and a you get a lot more product too! This has become a summer staple for me.
Blech! I tried a small sample of this, and I did not like it at all. It was too sticky and the scent made me sick. It tingled sometimes but didn't really do anything. I didn't really care for the way it made my lips look either -- too over-glossed (if that makes sense). Not impressed.
