Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Glysomed

This is a tube of wonders: it smoothed and softened my winterized, garden-beaten, couldn't-wear-gloves-and-do-masonry hands and took ten bad years off their appearance to boot. Add no testing on animals, an inoffensive faint scent and the appreciative glint in my bed-partner's eye when I put it on my hands right before bed (yup, it's that slippery, but not greasy, so for me backs of hands only during the day) and you have a workhorse hand cream to please the most finicky to the most product-adverse. A drugstore steal at $2.99 for 1.7 ounces, most often with a dollar off coupon glued to the tube.

Concealers -Almay - Nearly Naked Cover Up Stick
me_n_cap 8/7/2006 10:34:00 PM
"Nearly Naked" is true to its name; it's very sheer coverage for minor flaws- for those lucky enough to have very minor flaws. For me, with my packed-to-go-to-europe bags and nosferatu circles, this did almost nothing-- except go from nearly naked to totally invisible in under two hours, with a brief stop off at cakey and a momentary parking in lines I hadn't previously been aware of. Still, it's beautifully colored and looked very natural even in direct sunlight, so if you have a near-to-imaginary flaw that must be addressed (albeit briefly) in the blazing light of day, this may work nicely for you.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Lip Balm w/Vitamin E & Spf 15

One of the only balms that compares to Caudalie, and a total bargain as well. A bit slippery in texture, so it can be iffy to layer with lipcolor.

Lip Treatments -Caudalie - Grapeseed Lip Conditioner
me_n_cap 12/16/2005 11:29:00 AM
For a chapstick, it's damn expensive- but balanced against the fact that it's lightweight on, very moisturising and doesn't ruin the surrounding skin even with overuse, it's a bargain. Add the delicate scent/taste and this is the balm to be wearing in any situation where you might, or would like to be, kissed.

Lip Treatments -Labello - Lip Balm

Three days of use of this glue-stick gummy mess left a halo of lipline pimples above even more chapped and peeling lips. Verrrry fetching. Do yourself a favor and get Palmers (cheapy cheapy) or Caudalie (spendy) which are delicious and WORK, and give this as a gift to someone who deserves a bad case of FDR Drive hooker lips.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Concealer [DISCONTINUED]

I have triple-threat (bags, circles, lines) black double diamonds that I am always hurling new products against. This Maybelline concealor managed to not do anything for either bags or shadows, yet was make-upy enough to settle promptly into fine lines. Back it goes!
