I have been looking for a HG black eyeliner for quite some time now and I think I found it. It's smudgeproof and it lasts and lasts...Use it to tightline and line around the eyes. Works great both ways. If you're still looking for a really good eyeliner..try this one!

Blush -Chanel - 51 Meteore
rated 5 of 5

If you're looking for a nude blush buy this one. It's definately warmer toned than I usally wear, but it doesn't clash with my complexion. Easily buildable, but for lighter skintones one swipe will be enough. Consistency as might be expected from Chanel. Overall a great blush, can't detect any shimmer.

Hair -Chanel - Coco mademoiselle fresh hair mist
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 10/31/2007 7:00:00 PM

I love this line. I have the EDP, the EDT, the hairmist, the bodylotion and the body spray. I prefer the scent of the EDT over the EDP and the scent of the hairmist is like the EDT. So when I go out I use the EDT on my body and the hair mist on my hair. Smells heavenly! When I spray it on it gives my hair a bit of shine as well which I love. I've had it for quite some time and use it quite frequently but 1 or 2 spritzes are enough, so I still have tons left. If you like the scent of coco mademoiselle, you should definately try the hair mist!

Blush -MAC - Barbie-Fab
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 10/26/2007 6:11:00 AM

LOVE this blush. In the compact it looks rather muddy, a dull brown, but when applied it's a plummy berryish brown. Very versatile color. The golden shimmer that you see in the compact doesn't show up when the blush is being applied to your cheeks. I prefer that for a daytime look. The blush applies smoothly, staying power is decent. Used it on my lips as well with a clear gloss. Looked great on my rather pigmented lips. Overall a blush that I will reach for a lot. Too bad it's LE.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Quadra Eye Shadow Sparkling Satins
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 10/14/2007 9:10:00 AM

This is a great quad. Can't believe I haven't reviewed this earlier. When I first saw it I thought I didn't need it cause the colors are a bit similar to the fascination quad. I'm glad I bought it anyway! Colors are, a champaign gold, a light pink, a light silvergrey and a sparkling black. Quite cool colors. Yes the quad is sparkly, but it's not a cheap kind of sparkle. I apply the colors wet as that gives the best results. Shadows are smooth as silk and easy buildable. When I go out and I want a stunning smokey eye, this is the quad I reach for. Quality of the shadows is unbeaten. If they're put, they stay put till I take 'm off. Get it if it's still available..

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Brownie Shimmerbrick Shimmer Brick Compact
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 10/5/2007 10:36:00 AM

HG material! On me it's not brown. It's a plummish rosy brown. Love it. It's not shimmery, but glowy. Not too much for a daytime look and for a night out I just use a slightly heavier hand. I always use my Mac 187 brush to apply it as it's the perfect brush for these bricks imho. I haven't used it as an eyeshadow, only as a blush

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Eye Kohl Palette
rated 4 of 5
mdenbraber 10/5/2007 10:14:00 AM

I absolutely love the product, I don't like the packaging too much though. It's huge and bulky! There are 4 different kohls, colors are described really well by others before me. The kohls are in squares that are laying almost loose in the case. I dropped the palette once and 2 kohls broke immediately. They are really fragile. I placed them in a tiny screw jar and that worked so well, I took 'm all out of the packaging and replaced them in little jars. That way I can take them with me when I travel without being afraid that they might fall/break. Anyway. I love applying these wet. I use them both for tightlining as for lining my eyes. My eyes are rather sensitive, but these feel really good. I use the black and the royal blue color most. The plummish purple is nice too. The brown one is more khaki. I don't reach for it a lot. The shimmer is not so visible as I'd like it to be. The kohls stay put incredibly well. No need for touch ups when you use this. Even when I go out in a club I never ever have to check if my line is fading, disappearing. It stays put till you take it off. Great quality! The brush that comes with the palette is nice too. Good quality brush but I prefer tightlining with my Chanel brush and lining with my mac 266.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Azreal Blue
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 9/28/2007 6:30:00 PM

I LOVE azreal blue. It's a light silvery blue pigment. Not the baby blue like I expected. It's got a very finemilled structure, it blends easily and the color is very versatile. Love it with brown/bronze e/s, because of the silver cast with darker greys and for a night you should try this paired with a teal e/s. If you can still find it...get it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Silver Fog
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 9/26/2007 10:15:00 AM

I absolutely LOVE this pigment. It's got a finemilled texture, is easy buildable, color pay off is really good as well. I do use an eyeshadow base but I use that for all my pigments/eyeshadows.The color looks so good on my dark brown eyes. It's a true light silver that is beautiful when applied dry, but it is stunning when used wet. I love pairing it with cranberry strangely enough..looks great on me..a bit of black tied in the crease, black liner....LOVE IT

Makeup Brushes -Make Up For Ever - BB 7 eyeshadow brush
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 6/23/2007 5:18:00 PM

This has got to be the best brush I've ever bought. I own a lot of brushes, most from Chanel and Mac, but I've never had an eyeshadow brush like this. It's thin, not too big, not too small, picks up just the perfect amount of powder, can be used to tap e/s on the lids, or to blend it in. I've used it for lining under my eyes, it's a very very versatile brush. Somewhat similar in shape of Mac's 239 but this one is far better IMHO. Oh yes, I love using it with pigments too. Wet or dry. I absolutely adore this brush and am gonna buy more MUFE brushes asap :-)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Quietly - Lightful collection
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 6/21/2007 1:14:00 PM

Absolute love! I'd describe the color as a soft purple, I'm not such a purple lover but this one stole my heart :). The texture is very good, smooth, almost creamy. I applied it with UDPP so can't say anything about it's staying powder..with UDPP everything stays put on my lids. As others mentioned before, this is so beautiful when it's being combined with softwash grey. It gives me a really soft, sweet, almost girlie look. I only have a sample but if possible I'd repurchase!!

Eyeliner -Chanel - Stylo Yeux Waterproof - Jade
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 6/20/2007 4:32:00 PM

I absolutely LOVE this product. It's a shimmery waternymph kind of green. The liner really stays put (waterproof), yet is creamy, soft and easy to apply. Some eyeliners make my eyes itch. This one doesn't. You never have to sharpen it, cause you can twist the pencil for more product. Absolute love!! Oh yes it's pricey, but imho, definately worth the money! This liner really lights up my eyes..

Eye Shadow -MAC - Moonflower (Frost)
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 5/19/2007 1:50:00 PM

Love this color. It's an aquablue/greenish color with little sparkle. I used it dry today and strangely enough it combines really well with coco beach that way, at least it does on my darkbrown eyes and rather tanned skin. I read on the boards some people paired it with coco, but that was too light for me. Coco beach was a better match somehow. It's more toned down than colors like steamy, which I love as well. Blends well, no creasing, too bad it's LE. I will update as soon as I've tried it wet with purples, think it will look great with plumage too.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 180 Small Buffer Brush ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 5/19/2007 6:55:00 AM

I absolutely love this brush. Prefer it over the 182 that I own as well. It's a size smaller but the perfect size . It's really soft and dense and it has a nice somewhat longer handle. Picks up just the right amount of product. I use it primarily for buffing in mineral make up and softening blushers.

Lipstick -Chanel - Infrarouge Lipstick in Rockstar
rated 5 of 5
mdenbraber 5/7/2007 9:00:00 AM

I'm so sad this one is discontinued..it's the only lipstick I ever use, that should say enough! I'm a lipgloss kinda person, but this lipstick is the exception to my no lipstick rule. Others have described the color quite accurately. Texture and staying powder are as fabulous as might be expected from Chanel. It's soft, it lasts and it won't dry out your lips. I'll now try to grab one from ebay..somewhere..
