I just tried this for the first time last night, and will add updates. I left it on for just a minute, as the directions said. It did sting, and after a min. I splashed with cool water and immediately applied a layer of BoomSilk (by Cindy Joseph), which is all-natural. This morning I used Purpose liquid cleanser with my Olay brush and applied a light layer of O-F foundation ; my skin didn't look dry or flaky. Tonight I used Purpose with my Clairsonic, and put on my RoC night treatment, and BOOMstick Glo around my eyes. I will probably use my GA again this weekend; stay tuned......... : ) The next night I applied it for about 3 minutes or so, and my face was a mess! Burned spots, zits, flaky skin...now that I am back to normal, I have been mixing a couple of drops with Boots protect and perfect or BoomSilk ..much better results!
I received my Energizing Mousse Cleanser in packages of RoC 2-pack creams at Costco, and love it! My skin is quite oily in the T-zone, and can be sensitive as well. I use it with my Clairsonic and follow with RoC night cream. The smell and texture is very nice, and I love the pink bottle! Would definitely buy alone!!
Highlighters -Unlisted Brand - Boom by Cindy Joseph Boomstick Glimmer

I started out with purchasing Color, and loved it so much I bought the BOOMstick trio next, which includes Color, Glo, and Glimmer. I have always liked a more or less natural look, so these products are perfect for me. Glimmer is a very slight tan/taupe shade, with a little shimmer. It has a nice creamy texture, and although I am 57 and have an oily T-zone, it works great as an eyeshadow and highlighter for cheekbones, browbones, etc. Just ordered BoomSilk and will review later!
Tender Mauve was the first of this series that I purchased ; it is a nice light color but too frosty. Good with a smoky eye or a more natural look. Would buy again. Love the case!
I was searching for Maybelline's Color Tattoo "Barely Beige ",but could not find it at all (finally got it on ebay) Anyway, I thought Iced Latte would be a suitable sub, and it isn't too bad. I love how sheer and creamy it is. I had lunch with my 25 year old daughter, and she loved how it looked ; I lined with a Rimmel pencil, and she thought it was a great natural day look. Need to experiment with it more! EDIT: after using Maybelline Barely Beige and BOOMstick in Glimmer, I gave Iced Latte to my daughter, who loved it and is more suited for a powder shadow then I am.

First, I have to say that when I received my order for Colorstick, it wasn't in the box! I was devastated! I immediately emailed the Boom website and explained what happened ;received a very sweet reply from Cindy, who said she would follow up as it had happened before, and that she would overnight another. The next day my Colorstick arrived as promised ....now that is great customer service! I love the color, texture, and the glow as demoed in SWC vids. I will buy BoomSilk next, and am now not only an addicted fan, but a loyal customer!EDIT- I recently ordered the BOOMstick trio and will review later. Still love my Color; gave my Tarte Blushing Bride to my daughter!

Treatments -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment

After researching on MUA, I decided to give it a go; Argan oil is the product of the moment, and I have read an article or two. GF was doable since it is easily found- don't even get me started on Color Tattoo Barely Beige! It was about 5.99 and I had a dollar coupon. It smells nice, not fruity. I have fine hair and am growing my grey but have some dry, brittle ends. I plan on trying it in the morning ; thanks to MUA reviewers, your input really helps!UPDATE :like it so far, great as overnight treatment and nice after shampooing! UPDATE 2: I have finally rid myself of the results of the Big Perfect 10 disaster of '08! All natch, hoorah! Do much softer! Using just a few drops on damp hair or small amt in conditioner. Nice product for the mass market.
Perfect. Colour. Autumn. Love.
I can't believe I am the first on MUA to review this lovely color! None of the other new summer shades really appealed to me, but ATU stood out as a winner. It is a gorge rose-gold, and very flattering, even on my shortish fingernails. It would be great on toes,, too. And, I think ATU would look good year -round! If you like darker pink shades you definitely should check it out!
I was at Ulta today and decided to check out 1 NH. I got the salesgirl's opinion on which color to try; I am growing out my grey but at the moment feel like it's a bit blah. I thought about getting highlights but then would have something else to grow out. I ended up getting Sweet Caramel, to warm up my hair color until I get more grey and less mousy brown. I came home and tried it out- it is magic in a can! I used it on my bangs and on some longer sections. It looks so natural and better than most highlights I have had done professionally! The color, on me, was subtle but definitely noticeable. I still have my grey but 1-NH just kicked the color up a notch with a warm glow, and no roots to deal with! I will be experimenting more, but have a feeling I will purchase again more than once!
Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Clarisonic PLUS Sonic Skin Cleansing System
mcpatty 4/19/2012 6:51:00 PM
I bought an Olay cleansing tool after reading on them here., thinking it would be comparable - WRONG! - while each has its merits the Clairsonic is vastly superior. The Olay is ok for the smaller areas, such as around my nose, but I like some Hp behind my tools! I like to massage my face with a grapeseed/castor oil mixture, then add liquid Purpose. Then use the CS with warm water and rinse. Products sink in easier and I love how my skin looks and feels. A very worthwhile investment!
Lip Treatments -L'Oreal - le balm in caramel comfort
mcpatty 3/29/2012 5:37:00 AM
I first bought this in Mauve and loved it; on a whim I bought Nude which is nice on its own or paired with another color. The taste /smell is nice and the packaging perfection- so pretty.
I really, REALLY wanted to love this and the conditioner; I love how it smells and what it does for my hair. However, it does the same thing a lot of Aveda products do,which is it broke out not only myscalp, but my face as well! I even had a zit above my eye on my browbone! It was awful, so I went back to my JF Root Awakening. I wish I could have used it, but the bumps were too much! !
Treatments (Eye) -Neutrogena - Ageless Essentials Continuous Hydration Eye Cream
mcpatty 3/28/2012 12:41:00 PM
I bought this on a lark, as it was on sale at Walmart, and am definitely not disappointed! Non-greasy, no smell, great hydration, and seems to give my eye area a little glow-this just might be my imagination. Anyway, I would purchase it again! When it comes to skin products, Neutrogena always saves the day!
