I just bought this stuff the other day after trying out several other shampoos/conditioners and just got so fed up with all the chemicals and added things in other brands I just wanted something natural. Yes, the first couple times you use it, it does leave it a little dry but if you use a good leave in conditioner or even use just a little bit of this conditioner as a leave in helps. The reason it's drying at first is because your hair is not used to natural ingredients, it's used to all the synthetic whatnot that's in most other shampoos, therefor, you have to give your hair some time to adjust to the more natural ingredients. The stuff that's in most other shampoos that makes it 'soft and shiny' just coats your strands without actually penetrating. It may not leave a residue, but it's just making the hair feel soft without actually making it healthy.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Rosemary Mint Shampoo

This product is awful. It's very drying. I put 1/2 a bottle of vitamin e oil in the shampoo to add moisture and my hair still looked and felt fried. I still have half the bottle of conditioner and since I hate wasting things, I'm finishing it off by using it as shaving cream. At least it works well for that purpose!

Shampoo -Aveeno - Pure Renewal Sulfate Free Shampoo

This stuff is amazing. My hair has been tortured over the years with constant hair color changes. I was looking for a shampoo/conditioner that would leave my hair healthy and this is it. The shampoo makes hair feel dry but that's what the conditioner is for! My hair was dull and lifeless and after using pure renewal it's really shiny and manageable and it's soo much healthier than it was. It's expensive for a drug store at $6.50 a bottle but it lasts a while and it's definitely worth every penny. It makes me want to wash my hair every day I love this product so much! Not to mention it has a pleasant, light smell smell to it that doesn't overwhelm :)
