My initial reaction to this was that it was very runny. However, when I applied it to my skin, it matched my skin beautifully and blended well. I am a MAC NC30. It also has a nice, clean scent. My routine is that I apply the bb cream with clean fingers and set with MAC mineralize skinfinish powder. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice bb cream.
Mascara -Dejavu (Imju) - DJV Beautenizer Fiberwig LX

Having stick straight stumpy lashes, its a given that I'm a real stickler about mascaras. When I went to Sephora and saw this particular mascara I thought it would solve all of my worthless lashes issue. I assumed the fibers in the mascara would build and build and make my lashes long and lovely. I was wrong. This mascara did NOTHING for me. No long lashes, no length, no volume, NOTHING. Nothing but disappointment! If I hadn't lost the receipt I would have returned it right away.
Brows -Too Faced - Brow Envy - Brow Shaping & Defining Kit
mbcccix 12/5/2012 7:09:00 PM
I am a real stickler when it comes to eyebrows. They HAVE to be perfect. I can't count how many times I've plucked/waxed my brows, wasn't satisfied with how they looked and grew them out just to repeat the same process. Prior to finding Too Faced Brow Envy, I was always drooling over Anastasia's brow kit, you know the one with stencils, a brow pencil, etc. Well, I didn't want to $65 for it and luckily I found Too Faced Brow Envy for a fraction of the price. TFBE has 3 stencils, 2 brow powders, one setting wax, one highlighter, one mini spoolie, one mini pair of tweezers, one mini slanted eyeliner brush, and one mini brow pencil. Although I like the stencils that it comes with, they're not a perfect fit for me. The brow powder, pencil, spoolie and eyeliner brush are great to achieve the brow look you want. I recommend this to anyone that has eyebrow OCD like I do, and is looking for a similar but inexpensive option to the Anastasia brow kit.
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Colossal Cat Eyes
mbcccix 12/5/2012 7:06:00 PM
My review for Colossal Cat Eyes is for the waterproof version. I have short, thin lashes so I need a waterproof mascara to hold the curl. Pros: - I like the curved wand, I later realized that its actually best for my short and thin lower lashes. - The formula is buildable for dramatic lashes. Con: - Very wet formula, so it takes forever to dry and thus leaves my lashes not so curled. This mascara is an okay one. It's not great but it's not bad either.
Urban Decay is at it again with Naked2. Again the colors are versatile and very pigmented. There a some mattes in the Naked 2 versus no mattes in the Naked. I'm the type of girl that enjoys neutrals and smokeys because bold colors can look too tranny-like. You can't go wrong with the colors in this palette. The brush is also a nice bonus.
There's a reason the Naked palette is a best selling palette and still hasn't been taken off the market. Everyone loves the Naked palette, including me. The colors are very versatile and pigmented. You can wear the light colors during the day and darken them up for a night out. I will definitely repurchase when I hit pan for all the colors.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
mbcccix 12/3/2012 5:20:00 PM
Urban Decay's Primer Potion is a must have. When I was in Vegas during their humid summer, I kept my eyeshadow looking fresh and nice by using UDPP as a base. I was also trying to use a pop of color in a concentrated area so I dabbed a bit of UDPP and then layered the colorful eyeshadow on top and it didn't budge until I removed it.
I love this concealer! The consistency is light so it doesn't feel heavy or thick but the coverage is medium to full. This concealer in Medium matches to my NC30 skin and helps cover my imperfections effortlessly. I don't mind the twisty top to get the product out either but it can be unhygienic because of the sponge applicator that you can't clean. The shades for this concealer is also very limited.
HG blush!!! I absolutely love this pearly pink blush. I believe it's a universal blush that any girl can use to complete their look. The blush is in a compact and easily flips up to reveal a flat blush brush for on the go touch ups. I recommend this to everyone!
I read a ton of good reviews on Hard Candy's Glamoflauge and I had to have it. The concealer is full coverage and very thick so a little bit can go a long way. I like how it covers my sends my blemishes to oblivion and the price tag however, I don't like the color selection. Hard Candy only offers Glamoflauge in Light, Medium, and Tan. I'm an NC30 in MAC and I got medium. Medium is a little light for me so I may purchase tan in the near future.
Earlier this year I went from virgin black hair to blonde highlights. The only product that dried my hair out like crazy was the John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo. I turned to my friend and asked her what I should use to breathe life back into my straw-like hair. She told me to use Biosilk. And so I did. My hair slowly began to feel softer, didn't have any kicks when I ran my fingers through my hair and looked more healthy.
Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Anastasia Brow Gel
mbcccix 11/28/2012 8:47:00 PM
When it comes to eyebrows, I have OCD. Eyebrows have to be perfect and in place. Prior to using the Anastasia Brow Gel, I used just a clear mascara from Covergirl for my brows. Unfortunately, the clear Covergirl mascara gel began to flake after a couple of hours. Anastasia's brow gel doesn't flake and really stays in place. I recommend this for anyone that has eyebrow OCD like do.
Liquid -Lancome - Photogenic Lumessence Light Mastering & Line-Smoothing Makeup
mbcccix 11/28/2012 8:43:00 PM
I love Photogenic from Lancome! Just one of my HG foundations. Photogenic is a full coverage foundation and looks great on my skin. It also provides a nice smooth finish and I don't look like I'm wearing foundation at all. Might I add that it photographs well! I recommend this foundation for anyone that loves to take photos and is looking for a full coverage foundation.
Shampoo -John Frieda - Sheer Blonde Highlighting Shampoo
mbcccix 11/28/2012 8:29:00 PM
Earlier this year, I went from virgin black hair to blonde highlights. I was looking for a good blonde shampoo that would keep my highlights vibrant and not brassy. I went to Target and picked up the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating shampoo and conditioner. I didn't notice how dry my hair was until many washes after. No matter how much conditioner I used, my hair was still as dry as straw.
Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - Super Matte Loose Powder
mbcccix 11/22/2012 8:44:00 PM
My new HG setting powder! I didn't expect myself to like this powder that much but I really do! I thought that the powder was too light and translucent but it actually puts on really nice. It doesn't look cakey either! The finish is matte and looks like natural skin! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good setting powder without a cakey look.
