Blush -NARS - Luster
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 2:05:00 AM
I’ve never really used bronzers because I’m scared to look like a orange oompa loompa lol. I did some research on this blush and I read a lot of reviews about girls being an NC30 (like me) and loving the fuck out of this blush. It is BEAUTIFUL! It’s a peach with a little bit of a bronze glow. It makes my skin look so warm and there is a shimmer but it’s not an overpowering shimmer like NARS’ Super Orgasm. I might like this blush a little more than Orgasm right now. I can definitely see myself re-purchasing this in the future.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 2:04:00 AM
FAVORITE PALETTE EVER. I had to wait 4 months to get this palette. 4 MONTHS! Do you realize how long that is to wait for a makeup palette? I adore this palette. It’s filled with great Urban Decay shadows that are pigmented, silky & extremely long lasting. Urban Decay is by far my favorite brand when it comes to primers & eyeshadows. I have the palette that includes the shadow brush instead of the duo sided eyeliners. It has an array of shadows that go from light to dark. It’s perfect for creating a natural eye for work, school, maybe a lunch date. It also includes shadows that can give you a dramatic look for any occasion. It includes my favorite highlighter (virgin) and my favorite base shadow (naked). I’m a huge fan of ALL the shadows. This palette is in very high demand, even though it’s been out for about a year. I’ve seen it in stock at Sephora ONE time. If I were one of you girls who don’t already have this palette, I would order this palette as soon as can!

Lipstick -MAC - Amplified Creme - Girl About Town
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 2:03:00 AM
Originally I was looking for the Petals & Peacocks lipstick from the Liberty of London collection but it was a limited edition lipstick and Girl About Town was the closest thing to it. It’s a gorgeous, fabulous fuchsia amplified creme finish. I wear it with MAC’s Magenta lipliner. It gives a great pop of color whenever I don’t feel like wearing a classic red or simple nude.

Lipstick -MAC - Satin Lipstick - MAC Red
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 2:01:00 AM
This is my HG red lipstick. It’s a beautiful blue based red that isn’t too bloody and isn’t orange. It’s a satin finish so it’s not completely matte and there isn’t a lot of gloss to it. It’s long lasting (even thought I would recommend using a liner with it) lipstick that I would definitely pick over Russian Red or Ruby Woo.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - Dew Me Moisturizing Makeup Setting Spray
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 2:00:00 AM
Originally I was looking for their All Nighter spray but it was out of stock at Sephora so I opted for my second choice. This spray is amazing. It sets my make up, it lasts for hours on end and it really does moisturize. Sometimes when I do my foundation, I feel a little caked but after I spritz myself, it sets everything and I no longer feel/look caked. It is a bit on the pricier end and I don’t know if I’m willing to spend another $29 on it but it definitely kicks ELF’s Setting Spray in the ass with a steel boot. I’ve been using it for the last couple of months. I can’t remember how long, but it’s been at least 5+ months and I’m not even halfway through the bottle. One thing I didn’t like about it is that after a while, the nozzle gets stuck when you spray. You have to physically lift the nozzle up which isn’t a big deal. I don’t know if this happened to everyone but it did happen to me.

Polishes -OPI - Planks a Lot
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 1:59:00 AM
Planks a lot is a deep lavender, almost lilac cream colored polish. It’s not as opaque as my other OPI polishes but with two coats, it’s beautiful. It’s has blue-ish grey undertones and it reminds me of ube ice cream!

Polishes -OPI - Quarter of a Cent-Cherry
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 1:58:00 AM
This polish is a VERY deep red, very opaque polish that literally looks like blood. I was a bit turned off by how much it looks like blood. The formula is great, just like other OPI polishes. It’s not streaky and w/ a top coat, it’ll last for days on end.

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
maxinesaephanh 7/12/2011 1:56:00 AM
This powder foundation isn’t a lightweight foundation. It gives you some serious coverage. I have really bad skin and this baby works perfectly for me. It doesn’t specifically break me out because I do go through phases where my skin is awesome and then my skin is horrible. But for some people, it does break them out. I break out even when I don’t wear make up ); I like it because it’s fast and I don’t need a ton of it to give the coverage I want. I use a powder brush to apply it and honestly, it lasts all day when I prime and/or set my face. It’s smooth, and blends wonderfully. One thing I really liked about it is that when I use it, I don’t need a concealer to hide blemishes/scars. It’s literally a one step process. I hate the price though. After tax, it’s nearly $30 and that’s probably the only thing keeping me from wanting to repurchase it once I’m done with this compact. This product isn’t for everyone, I feel like you either love it or you can’t wait to exchange/return it. I really do like this foundation but I wouldn’t use it everyday. Just for special occasions or if I’m running really late and I need to hide some really bad blemishes.
