I tried this after reading some of the reviews on this. The BA at the MAC store applied it over prep and prime and it felt wonderful on my dry skin. It lasted all day and gave a very nice medium coverage. I love that this has a better coverage than a tinted moisturizer but still feels as comfortable on my face. My skin looks so pretty with this one!

I was skeptical about using this and the match I would get. I had been using HD foundaion and really had no complaints. My skin is much drier this time of year and I already use argan oil (not Josie Maran's) so I thought I would give it a try. SA at Sephora matched me and sampled me in this foundation but I liked the look right off the bat so I purchased it then. The medium was a great match and It covers my imerfections enough to make me look fresh and pretty, not heavy and overly done. Just what I wanted. For some reason I feel it is an expensive foundation (yet it's the SAME price as my HD foundation--can't figure out why I feel HD is priced okay). I will repurchase this again. It lasts on me the day, but I may touch up if going out in the evening. I would recomend this to anyone but realize we all have different needs and they can change with the seasons and as our skin changes. This works for me now, I love it!

Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Impressive

Love this lipstick. Perfect color and consistency to wear everyday rather than wearing a tinted balm. It made my lips feel moisturized and look polished. I will always keep this one in my bag as a quick fix of color when I'm keeping it low key.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Root Rescue

Oh why did I not look here first?! I could have saved myself the results I got from this awful product. I have done root touch ups in between salon colorings many times when I could not get to the salon as needed. I was not intimidated by the process and followed directions completely. But instead of covering my grays my dark brown hair was left more orangey at the roots and not all the roots covered. Yikes! Save yourself frustration and stay away from this stuff.

I just got the Nutra Sonic 4 speed on Friday through HSN and have been using it 1x per day so far. I can see in just those few days my skin looks brighter and most definately feels very smooth and soft. My moisturizer and facial oil seem to sink into my skin faster, and don't sit on the surface. However I can't get past the splatter that is created once I turn the thing on. Seriously, I have had to step into the shower just so the splatter does not cover the walls, counters, and mirrors each time I use it. For some this may not be a problem if they only use it while in the shower. I just don't have time and energy to clean all the surfaces that get splattered after each use. The other problem is I am hearing about the many problems with it holding a charge and the fact that replacement brushes may be harder to get hold of. I'd rather return it now while I still can and not cross my fingers that it does not have problems after the 30 return. Using this has convinced me that I can see a nice difference in my skin and that I want to go forward and get the pricier Clairisonic which is of better quality. I believe there is a reason these things are being put "on clearance" everywhere.

At Nordstrom the MAC artist recomended this one for me and it really does look good; gave me a nice healthy flush of color on my winter dry skin without the cakey/powdery look that my regular blushes do this time of year. I LOVE that it doe snot shimmer or sparkle (there are enough brands out there that do that). It lasted all day for me and I even got a compliment at the end of a long day on how I looked so refreshed -- for a very sleep deprived mommy of 2 babies that was saying a lot! This is a keeper and I think I will purchase other shades.

The follllowing reviews pretty much sum up the way it smells and how lovely it is. This It's my go to gift for a hostess gift/gift exchange/birthday gift that, once burned, pretty much always gets me a phone call asking where I purchased and stating how much they love the scent. This is a very sophisticated scent and as with all the HB candles, a quality product, worthy of a splurge. I burn mine for just 10 minutes and it continues to give off a the beautiful fragrance for the rest of the evening. If you need a small pck me up for yourself or a friend get this and you won't be sorry.

Skincare - Face -Babor - Advanced Biogen Night Cream

Not too heavy but feels good on the skin and sinks right in. My French facialist suggested this several years ago but I was still using my other fave Shiseido Bio Performance. Gave this a try (along witht he day cream) and have been quite happy since. My husband even commented that my skin looked really pretty one morning (before I had put on makeup)! He's never made that comment before!

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Kohl Eyeliner- Black

Highly pigmented which is great in a good eyeliner. Color is nice and this is perfect for creating a smokey eye. The major drawback is, as others have said, is that there is a terrible amount of fallout which smears like crazy when you try to clean it up. I used a fan brush only to have black smeared all over under my eyes and cheeks. I had to use eyemakeup remover to clean this up. The next day I used my MAC eyeliner brush to "pick up" the product from the applicator wand and applied it like I would any of my other powder or cake liners. MUCH better, no messy black over my face or the counter. Now I really like this stuff and would consider it in another color. I would buy this only when on sale or a promo. It's too expensive for a mass- market eye liner.

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Mascara

After trying everything out there from the exclusives (Dior, Chanel, YSL) to the mass brands in search of my HG brand. 2000c works well for my not so long and less than full lashes. It added volume, fullness, and and nice black color that made a noticable difference. This past weekend for several holiday parties I used it with false lashes to make the perfect smokey- eye! The brush with this mascara is not huge like a Dior nor is it too small. Perfect to get those hard to reach corner lashes and lower lashes without the smudge factor that can come with a giant brush. I am rarely so happy with a mascara that I would buy it over again. This one I would purchase again.

25% Fuller? No way. Curvier? Again no! Had I not had a 1/2 off coupon I would be more upset for the waste of money. First the brush. I don't get it? I could barely see it. The smallest brush I have ever seen. It did get to my lower lashes and those tiny corner ones so there's a plus. Overall I would pass on this even if hey gave it away FREE! I'll keep searching for my hg mascara or go back to my old standard--Lancome.
