I am in the minority on this one. I think this fume is perfectly elegant. Admittedly, the original gives me a smashing headache but I liked it enough to keep trying it despite the headache. This is a little less screeechly but still interesting. I definitely get "soapy" from this, I do not get "fruitichouli." Its gotten rave reviews from those around me. I really like it.

I have tried many many many foundations on my oily break out prone skin. If you name something- I have tried it- from Chanel to Shu eumura This is by far, the best. It covers. It stays on ALL day. It looks natural. It keeps my skin crystal clear, not a single blemish while using this. I get compliments all the time. Its at Whole Foods and it is cruelty free. Its really the best thing I have ever put on my face.

Liquid -Clarins - Ever matte

I have been on a foundation kick lately. I bought Chanel (broke me out and turned orange), Dior (broke me out and turned orange), MU Forever (broke me out) , Lancome (too masky) and finally this. Years ago I used alot of Clarins products and stopped for some reason. They always worked for my oily, acne prone skin. I got distracted by new things. This foundation is that perfect match of natural looking skin with coverage that does not break me out. I love the SPF as does my melasma. Also, the mattifying properties and endurance of this gem are amazing. Well done Clarins! I am sorry that

Fragrances -Chanel - Cristalle

This is NOT my type of scent. Florals give me migraines. Oakmoss makes me recoil. I dont like anything subdued. I am a card carrying spicy- amber- vanilla type of girl. Unfortunately, my husband is not a spicy- amber- vanilla type of guy. So I spritzed this EDT whilst walking through Bloomingdales and promptly stuck my wrist under his nose. His response was "hmmm....really nice." Which is the equivalent of him moonwalking through the shoe section whilst singing and throwing glitter. So I bought it and braced for the dark spots and nausea that my migraines usually entail. And now, a week later, I have to say I am in LOVE! I feel chic, sexy, and clean wearing this. Its initial astringency morphs into this mysterious blend of herbs and oakmoss that just blows me away all through the day (yes I have no issues with longevity). The moral of the story (other than "my husband is always right") is that after all these years as a perfumista who became bored with niche and mainstream alike, I learned that the perfect blend of individual notes that on their own, I do not care for, can morph into something amazing. Shame on me for not realizing that sooner :) So do not assume, sniff!

Crème -Becca - Stick Foundation

I have some sun spots on my cheeks so the SPF in this is wonderful for me. I apply this directly to my face, blend out with a damp sponge (thank you Goss MUA) and then powder over it. This makes my skin look flawless and lasts all day. The coverage is great and it really improves the texture of my skin. Most importantly, this never ever breaks me out. Big love for this one.

I LOVE this stuff. I am never without it in my bag. I use it to cover blemishes and redness. NOTHING lasts like it. It covers amazingly well and stays put until you take it off and it does not. I agree with Issey- this is not a concealor for under your eyes. It is not sold as such.

This cheese stands alone but I am a cheese that smells good. This lovely scent gets me at least three compliments whenever I wear it. It is a wonderful not overly sweet vanilla with some depth and hints of powder. I love it.

Powder -Christian Dior - Diorskin Forever Flawless Fusion Compact (2011 version)

This is my second compact of this powder. It covers well, it helps my oily skin stay a little matte, its not cakey or dry looking on the skin, the colors are good AND it doesnt break me out EVER. It even has a sunscreen. I have tried many other powder foundations, this is the best for my oily skin that loves to break out. Its wonderful stuff, give it a try.

This is a very, very pretty scent. The jasmine is romantic. The tea aspect keeps it interesting. Its unique and still very likable. I dont like it; I love it. My only advice is to not over apply. I use the EDP and if I get too heavy handed, it can become a bit too sharp. It lasts for a long time on my skin, which is why it is a favorite. Its difficult to find a pretty scent with this kind of lasting power.

For me, Lalique Le Parfum, seems like an easy scent to put together, but I have been looking for something like it for a long time, so perhaps its not that easy to achieve. I dont get any sharp edges with this fragrance. It gives you a warm aura. It doesnt smell "perfumey." It smells elegant and comforting. I dont get anything floral from it. Just a vanillic fresh field all around me. Its very smooth which makes it seem very elegant and expensive. Its not fuity at all, so if you like the popular fruity musks that are out now, this may not be appealing to you. I reach for this more than any other because I love the smell and it suits most situations. Worth a try!

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

While I love the colors and the coverage, I am an oily skinned gal and this does NOTHING, NADA, to help with that. In fact it seems to make it worse. I envy those of you that can use this stuff!

For me, this is the best Egyptian Musk. I have tried many others, but they were too strong, too soapy, too floral or non-existent on my skin. This musk is a skin but better scent. I have many wonderful fragrances-niche to mainstream, but this is what I want to wear daily. Its good stuff.
