BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
marippe 7/10/2012 2:06:00 PM
i have been searching for this product for weeks, and i finally found it at walmart. it's summer in new england; hot and humid. i don't like to wear a lot of foundation during the summer, so this has worked out very well for me. it doesn't provide a lot of coverage, but it evens out my skin tone perfectly. the color light is a much better match than the garnier bb cream. this works really great w/ the dream lumi touch concealer and my mac careblend powder. i love my skin79 dream girl bb, lioele beyond the solution bb, and recently purchased holika holika babybloom light bb, but this will be a nice addition to the collection i have. overall i'm very happy with the dream fresh and will definitely repurchase.
Skincare - Face -Amore Pacific - Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel

received this as a sample with a recent sephora purchase; i am absolutely in love!! gel moisturizer is a must for me in the humid summer months. this sinks into the skin quickly and leaves my face feeling very hydrated. i have combo skin and get very oily in the t-zone, and while wearing this moisturizer i felt i had to blot away excess oil less frequently. i really wish i could purchase this, but at $100 it's just not in my beauty budget. maybe for xmas :)
wow.. a lot of hate for this mascara! it works so well for me. length, volume - just the right amount (nothing over the top dramatic but definitely noticeable), holds my curl and no flaking/smudging at the lash line. love love love <3
i have heard people raving about the philosophy 3-in-1 products.. thankfully i got a sample of this so i didn't waste my money. i didn't bother using it as a shampoo, but i did use it as a bubble bath and body wash. it created zero bubbles, just murky water. i had to use a lot of product just to get a decent lather as a body wash. the scent was the only redeeming quality, but it quickly faded after i stepped out of the shower. :(
this mascara was clump city! the formula is very wet and smudged on my lower lash line like crazy. thankfully it was only around $5-6 so i didn't waste a ton of money.
i'm really impressed by this! doesn't cover up my under eye circles/small blemishes 100%, but does a pretty good job for the price. i also like the subtle highlight it gives.. totally makes my eyes look more awake! picked this up in ivory and radiant.. i think i'll repurchase the ivory shade again.
i'm trying to save some money, so i'm using this (cost me $3) instead of shelling out another $33 for mac matchmaster. i am very impressed by this foundation! goes on smooth, gives great coverage and doesn't make me oily. i also like the little spatula attached to the cap - cuts down on the waste of product. very cheap & easily available.. i'll totally buy this again!
Skincare - Face -MAC - Charged Water Revitalizing Energy
marippe 3/22/2012 11:13:00 PM
i am using this from the mineralized skin care collection that came out a few months ago. It's in a gold spray bottle. Unfortunately, I never used the original of this so i don't know how it differs from the mineralize version, but this is what the website says.. "A fusion of Mineralize Charged Water and pure diamond powder. Instantly enlivens, energizes and revitalizes the skin while adding radiance. Keeps skin soft and supple. Refreshing green tea and citrus fragrance." It's a nice change from fix+ - keeps my skin hydrated for a longer time &does a great job of making foundation/powder look dewy and fresh. I don't know if this is LE or not, but I already bought a backup of it haha. Would continue to repurchase :)
Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder

was very happy to see that target has started to carry some of the other elf products - this is one i've been wanting to try forever! it is incredibly messy [should have read reviews on here first about keeping the sticker and poking holes through it] so i put some tape over the openings and did the same thing lol. As for how it works, i'm pretty impressed so far. no whitecast look, just a matte face [which is what i want!] it lasted fairly well during my work day, but because of the messy application i didn't bring it along with me. This is going to last for a while, and I have some other setting powders i'd like to try out.. but a yes to a repurchase to support it ;)
Cleansers -Mario Badescu - Glycolic Foaming Cleanser
marippe 3/13/2012 12:42:00 AM
I love using this in the morning - my face is very oily when i wake up, and this makes my skin feel so clean & amazing. I only need to use a tiny amount on my clarisonic and it creates wonderful foamy goodness. I feel that this, along with the other mb products i use, have saved my skin. if you're going to drop some $$$ on high end makeup, the least you can do is drop the same amount on quality skincare. will continue to repurchase forever&ever <3
Pressed Powders -Hard Candy - Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder
marippe 3/13/2012 12:37:00 AM
this has replaced my usual setting powder, rimmel stay matte. I love this powder! i do have to reapply once/twice because i have oily/combo skin, but i don't mind at all. i throw this in my bag with a cheapo elf kabuki brush and off i go. it doesn't leave my face looking cakey. the huge bonus is the packaging - much more portable and secure than rimmel stay matte. It's a little more expensive, but the convenience of the packaging (and cuteness) makes up for it.
i wanted to compare this to my favorite nyx mascara, dolleye extreme volume. This is a nice alternative, but it doesn't give the volume & length that dolleye does.. but don't get me wrong! I do like this mascara. No flaking/panda eyes, holds a curl nicely and gives a great look overall. I would repurchase, but check out nyx dolleye if you want crazy length&volume :)

taken from: http://www.simplylipbalm.com/products "Moisturize, refresh, renew and repair with our all natural, healing organic ingredients. Renew with organic olive oil, protect with beeswax and SPF, repair with Vitamin E. Always without parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, pthalates or GMO’s." Active Ingredients: (Purpose Sunscreen) octinoxate (7.5%), oxybenzone (3%), Inactive Ingredients: Organic palm oil, beeswax, organic extra virgin olive oil, flavor, organic hemp seed oil, rosemary extract, vitamin E Found this at the walgreens checkout for $1 and decided to pick it up - i got iced pear flavor. It's a really nice balm; very moisturizing and lasts a long time before i have to reapply. Works great under lipstick also. Great purchase for $1 and i'll probably pick up other kinds (like green tea and mango.)
Foundations -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One
marippe 2/22/2012 11:27:00 PM
this really isn't a bb cream like i'm used to (skin79, lioele, etude house) it's more like a tinted moisturizer. i bought this in light/medium [i'm nc15] and i don't really have the 'too orange' problem that other people seem to talk about. I use a stippling brush to apply. it provides a very natural, sheer coverage. It's nice to use when I don't feel like using my foundation or just want to wear something to even out my skin tone. I said no to a repurchase, but i'm still undecided on this product.
works great for me (and i have very oily eyelids - i usually use victorias secret lasting fx primer & a mac paint pot over that.) i can use this primer by itself and it lasts all day w/o creasing. i'm really happy that my rite-aid has started carrying jesse's girl stuff; all of it is great quality &super affordable!
