When Clairol changed their Nice n Easy formula the light ash blonde was WAY too dark so I gave up trying different ones. I went to Sallys and went with the Very light ash blonde with a developer of 30. Excellent results. I have never used this brand before. Love it. The color is consistant which is what I needed. The salesperson had me put in the color drops to prevent the brassiness on top. It works great. I have no trouble with that at all now. I think over all it feels gentler on my hair too.
Eye Shadow -Tarina Tarantino - magic hour cream eyeshadow purple velvet

I love this color. Its heavy in pigment so for me I only need a light layer. It looks dark purple in the little pot but I put it on with one layer and it leaves a smokey look to my eyelids. It seems to be water proof because it does not wear off all day or in ordinary water. Its super soft and feels as if its melting(its not) as it goes on. Very smooth and easy to blend. There is a lot in this little pot. At the rate I use it, I will probably throw it out WAY before finishing it. Oh and it does not crease.
My mom recommended this and I gave it a try. A try was all I needed. Yes, it does smell like bug spray but I color my hair with nice n easy and it stripped it big time. Another reviewer said the same thing. Be careful if you color and use it. It left me seeing just how much white and silver hair I really do have. Scared me. I read more reviews on here and switched to another one.
Treatments (Eye) -BeneFit Cosmetics - Ooh la lift!

Not quite sure if i would buy it again. I use it OVER my concealer and it just kind of adds an opaque light look to under my eyes. Lift? Uh, no. I do like the consistency of it but it would be better if i could use it in place of my concealer. Its way too light and thin for that. Like someone else said, not quite sure what it is supposed to do.
Primer/ Corrector -Merle Norman - Foundation Primer

I''ve used so many primers I was ready to just stop using them. I had been using Smashbox anti shine as I have very oily skin. I decided to try this since I use their foundation. I love it. It keeps my skin matte, minimizes pores and keeps makeup in place. Also does not change the color of my base as some of them do. It is in a tube but boy a little goes a long way. This will last quite awhile. Don't think i will switch on this one. I agree with another post that MN needs a makeover. It does have a reputation for older women. While I am one of those old ladies now, I was using MN when I was in my 20's.
I really like this concealer. It covers and seems to cover my lines under my eyes. I use the lightest shade and only need a dab, so it will last a long time. Was trying to find something a little cheaper than the dior I was using. I think this is it.
I have been using Pantene for years. I decided to try this for damage control of my bleach/dyed blonde hair and see if it does anything. I was surprised. This is a great shampoo. I noticed after the first use my hair was so soft and silky. I know I sound like a commercial but this really is nice stuff. I still use a pantene conditioner after. But I use hot rollers and my hair was so soft and bouncy I knew it was the shampoo. Great shampoo and yes, dirt cheap. Hoping it doesn't fade my hair. Only used it a week and so far so good.
I wanted to try this because it was cheaper than the smashbox anti shine. It goes on super smooth but that is about it. I let it sit before applying foundation and it still smeared my foundation. When I checked a few hours later and used a blotting tissue my foundation came off on it. Usually it just picks up the oil but this time the foundation came off with it. The smell is bad too. Sorry I wasted my $.
Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush - Spiced Wine

Love this color. Like the other review, a little goes a long way. Gives a fresh rosy look. Like outside winter look. I was worried that it had little gold flecks in it as I dont need any shine. You cant see them once on. Great blush. My favorite for now.
I should have read the reviews first before buying. It made my hair flat, lifeless and after a few days it felt almost greasy. Would not buy again.
I love this shade. I was trying to find something semi sheer to switch from Nars Tangyanka since I keep getting stale lipstick from them. This is great. It does give color, the price is way better, and the tube is small. I didnt give it a 5 as the staying power could be a little better but its a sheer and most sheers have the same problem. This is on the better side for that.
Concealers -Christian Dior - DiorSkin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer

I have been using this diorskin concealer for awhile now. I switch between this and the neutrogena 3in 1. Well I just got a makeup mirror and it magnifies 5X (scary, believe me) and I put both of them on with it. While the dior doesnt hide as much it totally blended on smoothly. The neutrogena seemed to hide better but deposited small flecks of the product on my skin which was visible in this mirror. I would rather have a little less hidden but its smooth looking than knowing there are tiny clumps on my skin up close. I tried several others and believe me the mirror thing doesnt lie. Yes, its scary on a 51 yr. old. While I like this a lot i will continue to find one a little more reasonable in price. If not, i will continue to get this one.
Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Comfort Shine Lip Glaze - Fresh Strawberry

Looks great in package. No color what so ever. The applicator I just didnt understand. Finally took entire cap off and used it from there. Glorified vaseline. No staying power on me. Wouldnt bother buying again.
I bought this in truffle. Great sheer color. Love the tube and the fact that it doesnt leak out. But....the sticky feeling stays and feels tighter after it sets. The gloss I could feel on my teeth and that was the end of it for me. While its not color that is deposited on my teeth, the gloss definitely is. Hard to find the perfect sheer gloss with staying power.
I have been wearing this for years. I used to use an Estee Lauder one that was discontinued and I bought this on a whim. Great color. Can wear lightly because its sheer enough or layer it for more dramatic look. I have learned over the years that the "fine mill" powders make a difference in how they look when you apply them. This is a nice fine mill. Yes, pricier but the older I get the more its worth.
