Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel
maradeguzman 9/12/2011 9:23:00 PM
LOVE! Love, love, love, love this product! A combination of Milk of Magnesia and Monistat anti-chafing gel is the answer to my oily skin. When I use Milk of Magnesia alone, I last without blotting for about 3 hrs (that is already an improvement for me mind you) but when I use this with the MoM I can even go as long as six hours without blotting or powdering up. This helps keep my face fresh, and helps keeps my make-up STAY put. This is truly miraculous since I am the type of girl who has to really constantly blot and powder, every hour to be exact. This saves me a lot of time, money and effort, Best primer ever. Too bad I have to order it online to be able to get it.

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream
maradeguzman 8/3/2011 8:07:00 AM
Hmmm....I really wanted this work for me because for a time I wanted to stop using foundations to help clear up my skin. BB creams are supposed to be good for the skin. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream has SPF, it claims to control oiliness, and it claims to help accelerate the fading of discoloration, all while providing a substantial amount of coverage. So I decided to give it a try. It provides sheer to medium coverage, which is good enough since it does not claim to be a full-time foundation, but it gives me a strange grayish cast (I got the no.23 one btw) that doesn't really look nice. It doesn't really control the oiliness of my face. With this after 3 hours I start to look like an oil slick, give and take another hour its gone. No more trace of BB cream in my face. After 4 hours I go to the mirror and see bare patches of skin, or all I have left on my face is concealer. Moreover, after more than 3 months of using this it didn't really significantly "brighten" my face or faded discolorations as it claimed it will do.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Foundation brush
maradeguzman 8/3/2011 7:55:00 AM
I used this on my Revlon Colorstay foundation and it did not look good. It didn't make the foundation blend very well. It made my face look a bit streaky and kinda unnatural. I think this is because the brush is more suited to be used on foundations with thinner consistency. I used this for a facial mask though and it worked GREAT, it distributed the product evenly. I actually enjoyed using this with the mask haha, I felt like a pre-school kind painting his face.So yes I would buy this product again, for masks.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lip Stain- Forbidden
maradeguzman 8/3/2011 7:33:00 AM
This has a wonderful color on me. It produces a sort of brownish brick red color on my lips that really complements my skin tone and make my face brighten up. It doesn't look fake, instead it looks as if I have naturally reddish lips. I can be drying but nothing Chapstick can't fix. The color lasts for about 4 hours on me, which is pretty ok for a lip product.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain - Flame
maradeguzman 8/3/2011 7:07:00 AM
I love lipstains, I love Revlon lipstains but this one in particular disappointed me a bit. When I got this I was so excited to try it on since I wanted a sort of I-just-ate-some-watermelon-popsicles kind of red. Sort of what the packaging looks like. An orange-y red. When I put it on I was so happy because the red on my lips looked so cute, BUT THEN IT TURNED PINK after like 10 mins! :( It was not a bad pink, in fact I think it looked kind of cute, it was a sort of fuchsia pink but then I wanted the orange red color back. Huhu. :(

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

YES!!!! Finally a foundation that lasts more than 4 hours on my super oily face.I actually bought this because of the rave reviews I read here. It took me some time to finally find a shade that matches me, because the silly thing is in our country (Philippines, a South-East Asian country) only the five LIGHTEST shades are available in stores. I mean what the hell is THAT?!? Hello most people in here are medium to dark skinned! Revlon please do something about that! Anyway, I managed to find an online seller who sells a wider selection of shades and I decided to buy the color "Golden Beige" in the combo/oily variety because according to the other reviews here that matches an NC30 skintone. It matched perfectly! Now for the product itself. WOW! It really lasts for a long time. I put my make up on around 6 and 12 hours later it still looks pretty good. I have tried a lot of foundations and none has ever managed this on my super oily skinned combined with a crazy hot and humid weather. I only have to powder my nose throughout the day and not nearly as much mind you. Oily cheeks? GONE! Oily forehead? GONE! I have some pretty dark acne marks on my face so what I do is I stipple the foundation on my face and about two layers of this would be enough cover any minor to medium blemishes. As for the darker, bigger blemishes I only have to use a little concealer, a whole lot less than what I usually use. So yes, the coverage is brilliant. It dries to a matte finish and it only starts looking dewy on me after like 6 hours nothing a little powder can't fix. I don't really mind because with other foundations after like 2 or 3 hours I look like an oil slick already. Eww. It does not oxidize, so I have no problem about looking orange *ahem L'Oreal True Match". But the most important thing is the Boyfriend approves! The day I first wore this he immediately noticed how nice and smooth my skin looked. If a guy notices then it is GOOD! Moreover the best thing is it does not transfer to his shirt. Usually when we cuddle and you know stuff I always leave big make-up marks all over his shirtsleeves which can get really embarrassing, but with this NO TRANSFER even hours after I put it on. Plus he likes the smell, which is weird but he always comments on how nice my face smells. As for the cons, well the bottle needs a pump. Sorry for the extra long review, this product is really a dream come true for me. I LOVE LOVE IT! Oily girls BUY! NOW!

I hate this. It smells super synthetic and I always get a massive headache whenever I smell someone wearing this. I especially hate it when the girls in school spray this on themselves in the bathrooms like there is no tomorrow. NO, NO, NO. Very fake smelling and headache inducing.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
maradeguzman 8/1/2011 2:27:00 AM
This is a great color, it is a very pretty coral-pink color that looks very natural on me (I'm an NC30). It is buildable it goes from faint to a bright "work-out" flush. The packaging is classy looking and sturdy. I have dropped this twice I think and it is still miraculously alive. The only thing that bothers me sometimes about this product is that the glitters can sometimes make my cheeks look oily, I think this would have been nicer if it had less shimmer. Oh, and it fades a bit on the fast side. Overall, great color, great product.

Meh, this made me really oily strangely. Ugh this makes me feels like my face is sliding off! It also gives my face a very orange-y tint to it which I do not like because I do not like looking like an oompa-loompa. I think it also made me break out a bit. I really wanted this to work for me especially with all the nice reviews about, but sadly it didn't.

Treatments -Mario Badescu - Drying Lotion
maradeguzman 8/1/2011 2:11:00 AM
This really speeds up the drying of pimples and the size reduction time. It does not work for those big, swelling, none puss-filled types of pimples most of the time though, I mean it doesn't make it disappear like magic BUT it does dry it faster. Sometimes when I feel a pimple coming I attack it with this drying lotion then BAM next day the threat is gone (this doesn't happen all the time though, it depends :p). Also, I find that if pop a zit then I put this over my freshly popped zit (sorry TMI) by the time I wake up thet next morning it is GONE. This is very useful, plus it is not as harsh as the Benzoyl Peroxide creams.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Tickled Pink
maradeguzman 7/28/2011 1:21:00 AM
ELF blushes are good, and this is no exception. Tickled Pink is a light, neutral pink color that would match most skin tones. It is a soft and pretty color. I think once I got a bad batch though because no matter now how hard and vigorously I tap (or rub) my brush against the pan nothing came off. I bought another one and I didn't have the same problem anymore. This is a perfect everyday blush for going to school and running errands. It is very inexpensive too.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm
maradeguzman 7/27/2011 11:12:00 PM
I love lipstains, because it does not give the thick, slightly sticky feeling I get from using lipsticks which I hate. So far this has been one of the better lipstains I have tried. Better than Covergirl Outlast definitely. The colors are pretty intense, but I find that it still looks pretty natural if applied properly. I love how it makes my lips look as if I just came from a wild make out session (or ate a bunch of cherries). It also lasts for a long time, tough I find that Maxfactor's lipfinity liptint lasts longer. The colors available are pretty cute too. It can be a bit drying on the lips though, which is why it was quite genius of Revlon to put a lipbalm on the other end of the product. The UNgenius thing about it is that the lipbalm end sucks. Me, my mom and my friend all had the same problem, the first time we used it it just totally broke. But aside from that I think that it is a good buy. :)

Fragrances -Bulgari - Voile de Jasmin

I really, really loves how this smells like. It smells so delicate and when it settles it smells like nice-smelling skin. I love that kind of smell, the skin smell, which is why I love this. This is why it makes me so sad that this perfume has no staying power at all. I spray it one and smells good for like 30 mins than POOF it is all gone. :( So sad. I would keep buying this again and again if only it has better staying power..

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
maradeguzman 7/25/2011 11:22:00 PM
I am so-so with this product. I bought this because I wanted to start using liquid foundation so that I would not have to pile on my concealer anymore (I have some acne scarring). I bought this because well, it truly matched my skin. It is very rare for me to find a concealer or foundation to totally match my skintone.I am kinda on the edge of fair and medium, kinda yellow but not totally yellow, warm but with some coolness and I have a slight olive tinge. So get it, kinda complicated. This is the first foundation that really disappeared on my skin, without making me look like my face has a white or orange mask on.I got the color G3 Golden Biege, I think this only available in Asia or something because from what I know in U. S. it is only available in W, N, and C. Correct me if I'm wrong. Pros: -Perfect match with my skin. -Covers imperfections fairly well, though not totally, but enough to lessen the need to pile up on concealer. -Glides and blends easily on the skin. -The packaging here still has a pump which makes things neat and easy. Cons: -Does not really stay on too long. -Not perfect for oily skin. -Sometimes it can accentuate pores and can make you look greasy. I am still on the fence on whether or not I will buy this again, I love how it fits my color perfectly, but it does not do anything for my oily skin. I'll probably repurchase until I find a foundation that matches my skintone and controls my oiliness better.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk
maradeguzman 7/25/2011 11:04:00 PM
I LOVE THIS HAIR COLOR! I have tried L'Oreal Professional, Garnier Frutisse (is that right?) and a local Filipino brand and none of them works as well as Revlon Colorsilk. The color I end up with is always close to the color featured on the box. My hair is currently Light Brown 51 and it looks so pretty, I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. The free conditioner inside also makes my hair super soft upon using it. I have been using this for three years already at around 3-4 times a year. So far it hasn't damaged my hair. So there, I love it.
