Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Forever Sunshine
mangomadness 10/18/2011 10:18:00 PM
The first time I sniffed Forever Sunshine at the store, I fell in love. But, I didn't want to give in on an impulse buy. One month later, I was still convinced that this was wor th buying. I got the body cream and fragrance mist. The body cream is nourishing and is a good treat for my skin after I shower at night. The fragrance mist is good enough for me to make the scent last just a little bit longer.
Highlighters -Revlon - Age Defying Spa Illuminator Pink Light

I love this product. I'm not a fan of the packaging, but I don't use the brush that comes with the package. After I'm done with putting on makeup, I dab a small amount on the top of my cheeks and under my brow bone and gently blend it in with a sponge. It brightens up my skin, making me look awake for the morning. It also smells nice.
I love the scent of mangoes in Sunset Heat. It's a scent definitely made for the summer and always makes me feel cheerful.
It first started with the bath salts. The first time I poured those salts in, I fell in love with it and so did my husband. We just finished two bottles of bath salts within several months and we have two more on hand in case we run out. We then bought the lotion and matching pillow mist. This is truly the first time both of us ever fell in love with a B&BW scent to buy other products in the same line. As other reviewers pointed out, definitely wait for a sale or use a coupon. At ~$16 a bottle for the bath salts, it can get pricey, but it really is a well worth it treat after a hard day of work.
From hairdrying to flat ironing, my hair takes a lot of abuse from me. To keep my hair from leaving me from too much abuse, I have to take care of it, so I bought triple nutrition 3 minute undo. I originally intended to buy Garnier's sleek and shine 3 minute masque, which I know works, but I was intrigued by the Garnier nutrition line. My hair is all sorts of dry and it needed all the nutrition it can get. I saw an improvement in my hair after the first use, but it was still slightly dry. I feel that I would've gotten better results if I used the sleek and shine 3 minute masque instead. I noticed slight improvements after the 2nd and 3rd use. Maybe it would be more effective if I got the whole Garnier nutrition products, but I'm not convinced to repurchase as I am content with the sleek and shine series.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector
mangomadness 1/18/2010 11:37:00 AM
This hand cream is all sorts of awesome. I was a bit uneasy since hemp isn't my choice of a scent for a hand lotion because...well, it smells like its psychoactive variant. But, my BFF gave it to me as a present since I said I have dry skin. Even with her coworkers' recommendation for this product, my BFF was also uneasy about the scent but was convinced when she tried it in the store. The hand protector has a thick consistency and serves its purpose for me. I like its packaging reminiscent of a large squeeze tube of paint. What really convinces me the most about this product is that I watched my husband's dry patches of skin improve over a 2 week period as he used this every day. He's tried my Lay It on Thick lotion from Bath and Body Works for this dry hands, but it does not work as effectively as this hemp hand protector. We will be definitely purchasing a new one once we run out.
This fragrance is definitely working for me. The high notes are ultra tangy but as it dries down, the scent is sweet, pleasant, and not too overpowering. I feel that the scent doesn't last too long so I took a lippie off for that. But this fragrance is definitely fun and feminine. Even though this is a summer fragrance, I find myself using it most days. My SO loves the smell too (he says I smell delicious) so definitely a big plus since he doesn't really like most fragrances (especially the super flowery ones).
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lotta Luv Brand Lip Products

Two words - never again. I bought this on a whin at the dollar store, thinking, "Hmm, it's only a dollar." I got this in vanilla latte flavor. THe first time I smelled it, it smelled very vanilla latte-y but the second time I smelled it, it smelled very artificial and it gave me a headache. Compared to Bonne Bell lipsmackers, this lip balm doesn't apply as smoothly and in fact is a bit on the hard side. It moisturizes only a tad, but not as smell as lipsmackers. Next time, I put a couple of quarters more with my dollar so I'd just get a Bonne Bell lipsmacker other than this worthless piece of spacetaker.
Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Solia Ceramic Ion Flat Iron

I've had this item for a little bit more than a year now and it's definitely worth every penny I spent on it. It turns my semi-wavy and coarse hair nice and straight and makes me look very sharp. I had a friend even tell me that my hair looks professionally straightened whenever I use this flat iron. I love it that it heats up pretty quick and that you can use this wet or dry. Definitely would buy again if I lost it.
This is my first brush set and I've had this for a year now. It's definitely a must have, especially for those just starting their make-up / cosmetic collection and don't want to invest yet on MAC brushes. I always reach out for the blush and the foundation brush on this one and when I feel like using eyeshadow, I use the eyeshadow brushes in this kit. I'm on a blush phase right now and I feel that the blush brush does a really good job. For $30, you get 6 brushes. What a deal compared to MAC where you can get one big brush for that price.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - White Cherry Blossom

I received a 2 oz bottle of this in a swap and I totally love it! It's very feminine and not too overpowering. It smells sweet and mildly flowery. Too bad my bf doesn't really care much about this scent, but I'll still use it anyway at times I just want to pamper myself. Will definitely buy a bigger bottle once I run out of this small one.
Despite the not-so favorable reviews, I really love this product. My face gets nice and smooth with consistent use. It smells nice as well. Been using this for a year now and it hasn't given me any problems at all. Will definitely repurchase since I'm going to run out soon.
I've been using this brush for a year now and I can't imagine not using anything else to apply my liquid and stick foundations. I can see how people can have problems with foundation streaking, but with the practice and right technique, I get a really good finish on my foundation. I love it that it is more hygenic and I only have to put a little product on my brush in comparison to using my fingers and sponges. I would definitely buy this again if I lost it.
Liquid -L'Oreal - HIP Flawless Liquid Makeup [DISCONTINUED]

I used the free HIP foundation coupon on this one and got the shade Cafe to try to match my NC42 skin. Used it three times to figure out that, although the foundation blends really well on my skin, the shade was a tad bit dark for me. (more on the orangey side of things...reminded me of one of those fake tanned orangey looking Japanese girls) Anyway, I exchanged Cafe yesterday for Honey and used it today for the first time. Honey matched my skin perfectly and provided medium coverage on my skin. I'm a sheer foundation type of person and would only use this for night time or for professional settings because I feel it's a bit heavy for me for casual everyday use. However, I'm quite impressed on how the foundation (applied with the MAC 190 brush) evens out my skin tone well. I took off one lippie because my forehead seems a bit more oily when I use this. But, I would still purchase this product again if I run out.
I love this lipliner and it's 99 cents -- what a deal! By itself, it gives me a professional work look. I use Florabundance l/g over this to give me a neutral and polished look.
