Eyes -Urban Decay - Lush Lash System

I had low expectations having used Latisse but I've been pleasantly surprised. It takes some time to start working but I think it did make my lashes stronger and I didn't lose as many.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extension Ultra-Lengthening Mascara

This made no impact on my lashes looking longer or fuller and it smeared. No thanks to this one!

Blush -Laura Mercier - Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc
mandy412 2/15/2012 12:01:00 PM

I adore this blush. I'm mixed race and it's the perfect blend of pinks for just about any skin color. It gives me such a healthy glow. It's kind of pricey but I'm lucky to say that when I ordered it online, someone made a snafu and sent me 3 of them instead of one. It was Christmas time so it was an awesome thing to re-gift. hehehe I won't hesitate to buy it again.

Skincare - Face -Rodan and Fields - REVERSE
mandy412 2/15/2012 11:53:00 AM
I've been using the entire REVERSE line for 6 months now. I have pretty good skin but I have some acne scars that have taunted me for years now. Also, I'm pretty good with sunscreen as a mixed race girl BUT I'm bad when I'm on vacation in the desert. So I'm trying to undo any unseen damage so I don't look like a Brahmin bag when i'm 40. The line is expensive but I definitely see a difference. It's not overnight but at around the 3 to 4 month mark, I really noticed that the acne scars had faded and even some of my freckles had. My skin looks really good on makeup free days and when I do wear makeup, I swear my skin has this lit from within look. I'd say it's the most radiant my skin has ever looked. Once this round is done, I will most likely switch to the anti-aging line as I think REVERSE has done it's work. I gave it 4 lippies instead of 5 because the skin lightening treatment smells skunky. Whatever scent they use in the sunscreen should be replicated for the skin lightening treatment. One other note: I have combination skin and the directions say to work up to using it every day, twice per day. I didn't have any problems with this irritating my skin but I can see where it would be irritating for some. The exfoliating wash twice a day could be brutal for some.

Treatments -RoC - Multi-Correxion Night Treatment
mandy412 6/21/2011 10:11:00 AM
I bought this because I really liked the daytime moisturizer. Holy crap, I love this RoC product too! The retinol that's in it has not irritated my skin and I've been using it for months now. Prior to this product I was using PTR's Retinol Fusion PM which I liked but this trumps it because it's cheaper and it's a treatment that's moisturizing enough for me to use alone without needing a night time cream. I do believe it in conjunction with Clinique's Even Better treatment has helped to diminish acne scars I had. I can really go without makeup during the day if I want to without scaring people. This is about 30 bucks but one tube has lasted me awhile and it is cheaper than what I had been using from the department stores. Sometimes you can find RoC coupons in magazines or you can use the Ulta coupons in mags and newspaper inserts for this product.

Moisturizers -RoC - Multi Correxion 4 Zone Daily Moisturizer SPF 30
mandy412 6/21/2011 10:03:00 AM
So in an effort to be more cost sensitive, I've toned down my moisturizer from department store brands to drugstore brands. Right now, I am in complete love with this product. It gives my skin the right amount of moisture, has avobenzone in it for sun production, and has helped make my skin really glow. I know the glow part sounds stupid but upon putting this on, my skin looks dewy and I can be makeup free if I like. The price point is around $25 which I think is a fair price. I really like this brand.

Treatments -Skinceuticals - Hydrating B5 Gel
mandy412 6/21/2011 9:50:00 AM
The lady who does my facials recommended this product for me to get extra hydration through the winter months. the bottle lasted me 6 months so I guess from that perspective it was a good value. But I didn't love the product. I think there are booster serums out there much cheaper that do the same and probably better than this. I used it but I don't know that it really made an impact. My skin looks the same now that it's gone.

Treatments -Clinique - Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
mandy412 6/21/2011 9:44:00 AM
I used the first version of this before it was clinical and after two bottles, it didn't do anything. So I was hesitant to try the re-launched version but I read some positive reviews and said what the heck. I bought one of the regular size bottles and went through it in about 6 weeks. I thought I saw a bit of lightening on my acne scars, enough that I decide to buy the bigger bottle. I've been using the product for about 2.5 months now and I do see a difference. It's slow and won't work like prescription hydroquionone (sp?) but it does work. I have not broken out at all and I like that it has no odor. So the bottom line is that if you have the money and time to invest in this product, I think it's a keeper. If you're looking for a quicker, cheaper solution, you will never been happy with this.

Moisturizers -Korres - Quercetin and Oak Antiageing Antiwrinkle Day Cream Normal/Combination
mandy412 4/21/2011 12:17:00 PM
Thanks for the sample Sephora! I'll never buy this product. I put it on the other night and immediately had to take it off. The odor is awful. I don't care if it's the fountain of youth, I couldn't stand the smell.

Mascara -Clinique - Bottom Lash Mascara
mandy412 4/21/2011 12:14:00 PM
Great product. The tiny brush does a great job of getting all the little hairs and defining them. The price can't be beat and there was definite need in the market because I was so sick of using regular sized brushes to do this and have mascara everywhere.

Moisturizers -Kinerase - Ultimate Night Moisturizer
mandy412 2/23/2011 7:50:00 PM
Okay I needed a nightcream and I got this during Sephora's skincare challenge reward. I've heard tons of good things about Kinerase so I was excited to try it. I can't say that I feel like my skin is more radiant from it. The cream is definitely moisturizing but considering the price, I think there are other creams that are just as moisturizing if not more for the same price. It just is kinda m-e-h.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
mandy412 2/23/2011 7:22:00 PM
I have thick curly hair and I've been using this product for about 6 months. My hair had been really dull. I just recently got my hair highlighted and my stylist said my hair has looked the best that it has in ages and that my ends were strong. I grew up old school using grease and while I haven't used grease in ages, I never could find that right product that moisturized my hair without it beign greasy. This strikes the perfect balance for me. It is well worth the price!

Scrubs -DERMAdoctor - KP Duty Exfoliating Scrub
mandy412 2/21/2011 10:10:00 AM
This is officially my HG of body scrubs. This scrub combines the normal scrub with a bit of a chemical exfoliant to provide the best of both worlds without drying out your skin. My dry winter skin is gone now because this has buffed away all the dead skin cells and really prepped my skin to better absorb my body lotion. I am now going to explore other products within this line because I am so happy with this product in particular.

Highlighters -Smashbox - Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion
mandy412 2/21/2011 10:07:00 AM
This product is fantastic for giving your skin a luminous glow. Just a tiny bit goes a long way in highlighing your brow and cheekbones. I also like to put a dab on my cupid's bow. I have decided I like this a bit better than Benefit high beam because the color is a bit more natural and less pink. Well worth the money! Update: I bought the regular sized bottle since I used the sample. I HATE the dispenser. I only need a small amount and half a pump releases too much and I end up wasting it. I wish they'd come up with a better way to dispense it.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto Voluptuous
mandy412 8/30/2010 10:44:00 AM
So I decided to give this a try since I love the original. I found that this was a winner as well. I really think the magic is with the brush. The brush is thin and you can really get in there and it will coat every lash no matter how short it is. The mascara doesn't clump either...I get long, defined lashes without them being dry and flaky. Ladies, I love Dior mascaras and I know people feel very strongly about Lancome Deficils but I would put the Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara up against them any day of the week. I seriously can't see ponying up $30 for mascara once a month and I get the same quality out of a $7 or $8 tube.
