Lotions/ Creams -Cerave - Moisturizing Cream
makeuplover917 2/5/2013 9:28:00 AM
Well, that didn't take long! I used this product for 3 nights around my mouth (where it is super dry). Now I have 2 shiny new zits. I use Differin and Acanya so I stopped breaking out awhile back and I haven't introduced anything else new into my skin routine so it is definitely the Cerave. BOO! Don't use if you're break out prone.

This stuff is awesome! It makes my hair silky smooth and easy to brush through after a shower. It also smells great! Little tip, instead of using finishing products, I work a small amount of this into my hair after a shower and then blow dry. It looks shiny and awesome!

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

Well I'm a little bummed out MUA. I got this based on the good reviews here! Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It didn't blend in properly. It was just so thick that it wouldn't spread. It also didn't hydrate much and it somehow caused a zit under my eye. That's a first. This is not a repurchase for me.

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30
makeuplover917 5/11/2012 12:26:00 PM
My dermatologist recommended this to me about a year ago when I started using Differin Lotion. I think this stuff is pretty good. It hasn't broken me out, it has a great SPF and it's not oily. On the other hand, it's not the absolute best. Sometimes I need extra moisture but this just doesn't give it to me. When I use other moisturizers I end up breaking out though so I always come back to using this one. I use it on a daily basis under my make up and it's a good base. Overall, I'm going to keep using it because after a year, it hasn't broken me out and it keeps my skin protected from the sun.

This product, as others have stated is very pigmented. I applied it with an extremely light hand and it gave me "clown face". I'm NW15 and based on the other reviews here, I thought this might be a good fit. Unfortunately, this one went back to Sephora.

I'm trying to switch all of my products over to more eco and animal friendly alternatives. Based on the reviews here, I chose this one. I am oily/acne prone and this broke.me.out. It only took 2 days! If you have similar skin, I would really stay away from this one. I also didn't like the jar it came in, I really prefer pumps because they are more sanitary.

I used this religiously day and night for about a year. I swear it aged the area around my eyes and made my crow's feet more visible. I hate this stuff! I usually don't even bother to review products...but stay away from this one.

Moisturizers -LUSH - Skin's Shangri-la
makeuplover917 6/25/2008 11:11:00 AM
I've been through almost 2 tubs of this product. At first it left my skin glowy and well moisturized, sometime during the second tub it started breaking out my face all over. Not cystic acne, but little bumps all over my face. I usually have extremely clear skin so this was a real turn off for me. I'm not quite sure why this cream turned on me, but I definitely think it would be a lifesaver to someone with really dry skin. Definitely not for anyone with remotely combination skin or acne prone skin.

Highlighters -Becca - Nymph pressed shimmer powder

I love this powder! I am PPP and this works just beautifully. I put it on after blush and it hides imperfections on my face and replaces them with a natural looking glow. It also tones down blush a bit if you put too much on. GREAT product, would rebuy over and over!

I can't say enough good things about these sheets! I've been using them for the past 4 years and I'm so satisfied. They really absorb all that afternoon oil that I get! Perfect for people with combination skin!

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar for Dry, Sensitive Skin
makeuplover917 4/17/2007 10:06:00 PM
I really, REALLY wanted to like this product. I purchased this after Oprah added to her favorite things and after I read the reviews here. I have combination skin and I used Hope in a Jar before putting on my make-up in the morning. Unfortunately after a month it has given me a minor break out all over my face. This could be because for the past 5 years (since I was a teenager) I have been using an oil free moisturizer with Salicylic Acid and I had no idea that my (then) clear skin was so acne prone. I think it may have been the rice bran oil in the moisturizer. Regardless I am back on my oil free moisturizer with Salicylic Acid and impatiently waiting for all of this to clear up! I would recommend those on the fence about this product to seriously evaluate their skin type. If you're skin is acne prone at all, this moisturizer COULD cause some problems. However I can see how this moisturizer might work well for someone who is not acne prone.
