This brush though expensive is worth every single penny! It gives the most flawless and even finish with mineral powder. I adore this brush and would repurchase should I ever need to but I anticipate this brush lasting me for many many years.

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 7/12/2012 3:20:00 PM

I have very dry scaly skin on my face. During winter, spring summer and fall it never fails I just have very dry skin. Foundations tend to look very cakey on me for this reason. I have tried $150 moisturizers looking for something that would miraculously leave me with soft supple and smooth skin. Desperate I began looking on there for help and when I scanned the reviews for moisturizers I came across Vaseline. I had heard of using Vaseline before and had read that Marilyn Monroe's makeup artist would apply a layer of Vaseline all over her face before doing her makeup. Figuring I have absolutely nothing to lose I removed my cakey looking foundation and applied a thin layer of Vaseline all over my face making sure to really work it in to the very dry areas of my face. I waited for about 15 minutes then went to work applying a new layer of foundation on my face. When I was completed I stared at my skin in amazement. I saw NO DRYNESS on my face. None. Nada. Zilch. I admit I have not fully had a chance to see how my skin reacts or how long the affect will last however for now I am stunned at how great my skin looks. I am glowing! Not oil skin glowing but dewy and fresh. I will update later on how my skin reacts and how long the moisturizing benefits last on my face. I am so hoping I have finally found my miracle ointment!!!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Phloof! (frost; Hollidazzle)
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 6/19/2012 3:24:00 PM

Phloof! is a long time favorite of mine. I use this as a lid color on my very fair skin. The color really opens up my eyes. My everyday look is Phloof! on the lid, Blanc Type from crease to brow and Omega as a crease color. When I want to darken up my crease I apply Couqette or Charcoal Brown to the outer V. I will continue to purchase Phloof! for many years to come.

This is my HG crease color on my pale NC15 skin. I absolutely love this shade. I have also used it as a eyebrow color. It is the perfect neutral taupe brown. I would purchase this over and over again. It is my go to color for days I just want to look polished and not have to think too much about what makeup I am wearing.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 6/19/2012 3:14:00 PM

I normally don't write reviews unless I am absolutely AMAZED by a product. I have worn mineral makeup for years and have been increasingly unhappy with the way it would accentuate my pores and fine lines making me look older. Not good being that I will be 35 this year. I have very dry spots on my face as well and use Cereve creme to control the dryness so having dry skin resulted in my mineral foundation looking even more cakey. I decided to give the new Colorstay Creme a try even though I was not too impressed by the original Colorstay foundation though it seems to have a cult following. I initially purchased this foundation in Ivory being that I am pale as a ghost and usually tend to be drawn to the palest shade of foundation line. But later decided to try a shade darker because ivory was a bit chalky looking on me. I purchased the next shade darker which is Buff. The shade was a perfect match. I use a the F80 flat top brush from Sigma. The brush provides perfect control when applying this foundation giving an excellent even application which results in the appearance of being airbrushed. The foundation itself has excellent pigmentation and covers my rosy, rosacea laden cheeks perfectly. I sometimes apply just a big more on the days my face is rosier than normal. The lasting power of this foundation is outstanding. I have not tested the 24 hour claim because I am very meticulous about removing my makeup every night. However seeing this foundation look the SAME from morning until bedtime which is around 12 hours of wear for me has me betting the claims are right on target. I would highly recommend those who tried and disliked original colorstay to give this foundation a shot. I can almost guarantee you will be as impressed as I am. I do recommend that those with dry skin be sure your skin is well moisturized before application to insure your coverage is as smooth and flawless as possible.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Ever Hip
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 6/13/2011 4:50:00 PM

After looking all over the place I finally found this at the local MAC counter in Baton Rouge. I purchased two so I would have a back up. I love the soft coral shade of this lipstick. My favorite way to wear it is with Loreal coral lipliner to line my lips, this softly on my entire lips then top with Underage Lipglass from MAC. This is the perfect corally nude combo for my lips! Love this color!

Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - True Blue Spa Just a Minute Scrub
rated 5 of 5

I have terribly dry and chapped hands. Not just during winter but ALL year long from frequent hand washing. My hands are an absolutely nightmare. I bought this on a whim a few days ago when BBW had a sale. I gave it a try and I am IN LOVE! This stuff sloughed off all of my dry flaky skin and made my hands so soft. This along with the shea hand cream really made my hands so nice. Will repurchase again and again!

HG scrub! This scrub is absolutely a dream to work with. I use rubber kitchen gloves to apply it so my hands don't get raw. I add a little water to the area I am going to be scrubbing then go to town with the scrub. It makes my skin so soft! I love to use it before shaving. Will definitely purchase again and again!

Lipstick -Maybelline - 24 Hour super stay
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 2/13/2011 8:39:00 PM

Years ago I bought into the hype of certain lip products that promised to last and last all day long. I applied them and shortly after would be left with cakey, dry and chapped looking lips. I gave up on trying anymore of these products due to the bad experiences I had previously. I decided after hearing of Maybelline's new 24 Lipcolor that I would give it a try thinking that perhaps after years these long wearing products would actually be worth using. I hesitantly purchased one of the colors in Eternal Sunset which to me appears as a darker coral. I applied it to my lips and waited a couple minutes for it to dry. They I applied the lip balm on top. The product felt very comfortable on my lips and all I had to do was apply the balm off and on throughout the day. The color DID NOT BUDGE all day. I fell completely in love and purchased several more colors. This is a product that actually lives up to the claims and the hype. I am completely impressed and highly recommend purchasing this product!!! I do however recommend investing in a good eye makeup remover. I used Sonia Kashuk's eye makeup remover to remove the lip color and it does so beautifully and completely.

Polishes -OPI - Black Shatter
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 1/28/2011 4:17:00 PM

This has to be the coolest nail polish I have ever come across. I have acrylic nails and I find they begin to grow out they look gross. I applied Shatter over my existing nail polish color (OPI Sweet Heart) and it completely masks the grow out and makes my nails look interesting in a good way. I topped Shatter with a quick dry top coat. I love this polish and hope that OPI makes it part of its permanent line.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 3/26/2010 11:31:00 AM

I have tried gel liners from big players such as Smashbox and Bobbi Brown. I have tried countless other eyeliners and nothing compares to this product. Application is smooth and not clumpy. It doesn't dry out like the other brands. Maybelline hit it out of the ball park with this product. Affordable and with an even better formula than all other liners I have tried...I will never stop buying this one! You must try it!

Blush -NARS - Desire
rated 5 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 3/14/2010 5:29:00 PM

I find myself on the constant search for a perfect blush. I have been on the hunt recently for a pink blush for spring/summer. I belive with certainty that I have found my HG pink blush and that is NARS Desire. This is a very vibrant shade of Barbie pink that gives the most gorgeous baby doll pink cheeks. It is highly pigmented. It has no shimmer which is a plus for me since I love using highlighters and shimmery blush with a highlighter seems like overkill to me sometimes with my very fair complexion. This blush applied very carefully and very lightly is perfect. I would buy this again however the amount that is needed to be used leaves me to believe this blush will last a lifetime or until it just goes rancid. Total HG pink!

Polishes -Essie - Neo-Whimsical
rated 2 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 3/11/2010 10:34:00 AM

This polish is beautiful however the formula leaves a lot to be desired. This took me 4 coats to get even coverage. It came off very streaky until I put on 4 full coats. What is up with this formulation?

Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Tonytail Puffy Pony
rated 4 of 5
makeupdivajunkie 3/5/2010 4:41:00 PM

I saw this at my local Wal-Mart today and being one who loves to wear my hair in a ponytail I decided to give it a whirl. It costs about 6 bucks and you get a ponytail holder and a comb with a thick top that is used to make your ponytail puffy. You take your hair and put it in a ponytail using the ponytail holder. Then you lift up your ponytail and insert the comb into the ponytail going downwards towards the nape of your neck. It does work but you have to have VERY long hair for it to work very well. I have hair that lies just beneath my shoulders and I get a very small puffy ponytail. It takes away a lot of the length. This would be fabulous for people with long hair and would be very glam for a night out on the town. For me...well I am going to use it but I just wish I had longer hair...that isn't the products fault though.
